“Myself and my friend booked the axe throwing and had a great half hour with Nina who showed us how to throw, gave us tips and was a really good host. So thanks to Nina for adding to the fun. Would Recommend”
“We had a great meal at Gem Turkish Restaurant. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The octopus dish, in particular, was absolutely outstanding – easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. My only complaint? The remix of Creep by Radiohead that came on during our meal – a complete travesty to music! But even that couldn’t spoil an otherwise excellent evening. Highly recommended.”
“The food was so good! We ordered the curried goat and the jamaican brown chicken both with fries as they were both delicious and perfect portion sizes. Very friendly service and quick too. Definitely would recommend!”
“Delicious afternoon tea. The open sandwiches were amazingly tasty. Service was great - very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!”
“Amazing place great atmosphere, friendly staff beautiful polite friendly girls. Girls are not pushy and are very respectful. I would certainly recommend.”
“We visited ‘The Bird’ during a stay with family, it was brilliant. Fantastic menu in a spacious and beautiful restaurant/bar. The staff were without exception friendly, polite and attentive to all our requests. It was a pleasure to be there and without doubt be returning. Only problem is we live in Kent so will come back when we can.”
“Fantastic café/ restaurant. Food was hot , well presented, empty plates all round, good prices. Definitely worth a visit if you dont want fish n chips.”
“We saw Rich Hall here on a Wednesday evening in December. Had a nice pint of Porter prior to the show and thoroughly good time in the theatre. I really enjoy the Playhouse as a building, a not over sized venue and for the atmosphere. Looking forward to going back next year.”
“We had a fabulous dinner at Shambles a couple of weeks ago. It was a quiet Tuesday night but the service was swift and friendly and the Chicken Chasseur was delicious. Wine was great, generous glasses and at a reasonable price. Lovely setting and delightful decor. I highly recommend it.”
“Lovely and helpful staff! The staff here is very welcoming and nice. Special thanks to Teagan as she gave us exceptional service. The warehouse has some good brunch options, I particularly liked the eggs royale and iced caramel coffee. I also enjoyed the establishment and environment, they have a garden with comfy seats. In addition, dogs are welcome inside and the restaurant even has a dog menu so you can bring your pet inside which is amazing. Will definitely come back again!”
“The Rose has a deli counter where you can buy cheeses, cold meats, pork pies etc. Pay £1 per person and they serve up your deli items on a board with crackers and chutney. What you don't eat, you take home. We had a lovely little catch up with our friend in the relaxing courtyard. We drank Aspel's cider, clearly the best quality draft cider around, (it's so disappointing that so many pubs have switched to the inferior Inches) and what could have been nicer than than a round if cheese and biscuits to finish the session. The pub is dog friendly and the staff worked hard to ensure everyone had an enjoyable visit.”
“Absolutely lovely vintage pub, beautiful scenery, amazing food, something for everyone's palate, friendly staff would highly recommend”
“Food was tasty and plentiful. We had breakfast, and then returned later in the day for coffee and cake. Friendly service. Really good value.”
“A lovely isolated pub down a gravel track across the marshes. Very busy when we went but it was a sunny summer Saturday. Good food & drink options, staff really friendly & cheerful.”
“We had a lovely meal at Bella Italia tonight. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed every part of it. Our server, Ilona, was absolutely wonderful — so friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better server. The manager was also fantastic — very welcoming on our arrival and he made sure we were well looked after throughout the evening. The whole team made the experience feel relaxed and special. We’ll definitely be back!”
“My granddaughter took me for afternoon tea for my birthday. It was super! I especially enjoyed the savouries which were delicious and so much nicer and more interesting than the usual sandwiches and sausage rolls.”
“Very nice staff, good beer and interesting place”
“We had a really good time in Retro Replay. It was a fun blast from the past for me as they had some of my childhood games like Halo and Goldeneye. Also time crisis with unlimited continues!!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience here and it was nice not having to keep topping up the machines with coins. A good few hours of fun for all ages”
“Just happened to be passing and saw the live music. Acoustic night was in full swing. So we went in. Wonderful. Great beer Great service Great atmosphere”
“A few years back this was residents only and not open to the public, however under a different ownership it is now open to all. They have bingo on a Tuesday which isn’t my thing and the participants do not like a lot of noise so steer clear if you’re in a group and not a fan of bingo. Thursdays from around 15:30 is very lively with a great atmosphere and the locals are really friendly and welcoming. Food is good and especially the portion size. The bar staff are amazing especially Kelly who looked after us during our visits. The venue is dog friendly which is an added bonus for me with my 2 border collies. Weekends they have live music and encourage you to dance. The place is decorated very nice, clean and very welcoming. If you a holidaying locally such as Park Deans I highly recommend a visit.”
“Great food, attentive staff, good portions. It was our first visit to Bar 1 and staff were very kind and welcoming. Lots of choice of drinks and food. We ordered B1 Burger and Barbecue wings. Delicious food at a reasonable price.”
“Beautiful place and great beer served from the tap room; just as it should be. There are not enough good pubs like this left, we need to frequent them to keep them going but more so as they raise the spirit. I shall be coming back soon and bringing friends.”
“Amazing restaurant, staff were so friendly and helpful when choosing what to eat and even fit us in with five minutes before the kitchen shut. Food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price. Cocktails were very strong around £10-12 each. Atmosphere was cosy and intimate. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu in the future!!”
“Went there for pool, table reserved for the away team (us) great atmosphere”
“Had a dinner there with my husband and it was so good! We ordered vegan food and we couldn’t have asked for a more delicious meal! Definitely coming back,”
“I have never been so impressed with service. I have a allergy to Olives which is uncommon but we had lovely service and were made sure that there is no cross contamination, we were told that the kitchen cleaned down and prepped fresh vegetables for our meal especially for me. I have never felt so cared about in an establishment. I am floored and so impressed and just amazing!! Very yummy food too!! Thank you so much!!”

Tasted some of the beers including Lucky Break, Hefeweizen, Arcade Made and a couple of more. Lovely place and I hope to return anytime soon! :)”
