“Lovely old pub with a good Sunday roast highly recomend”
“Fantastic pub with great atmosphere, lovely staff and Paul the landlord is great. Ignore the Turkey Morons review, probably upset that they sell beef crisps or something. Glad they won’t be back!!!!!”
“Excellent food with excellent Host's and Staff. If you like pie's check out the Pie board so much to choose from and all made on the premises. Great Ales from the Keg and all at a fair price. Dogs welcome in the Bar they even get a doggie treat some times”
“What a lovely, busy little cocktail bar! Not your normal cocktails, so I felt a little giggly when I had 2 cocktails lol! We were first 2 in, the quickly filled up. Girls serving were polite & friendly.”
“Great pub, they’ve smashed it with the street food vendors and have made it a real staple of the village again with their proactive and positive management.”
“Lovely meal for 16 mostly adults. Great food. Generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Thank you”
“Lovely little country pub and new landlord/landlady Anna and Ben were really welcoming.”
“Must be the best takeaway in Norfolk. We had lamb shank tonight which were lovely with good portions but the desert of summer pudding was delicious. We have had a few meals from The Pepperpot and always found them superb, lovely flavours and great packaging means meals are piping hot when you get home. Great service, thank you Pepperpot.”
“We had a takeaway from here tonight. We have been meaning to try it for years and it didn’t disappoint! Very tasty food! No reheated meals and MSG here. If you want tasty, fresh food then this hits the spot! Looking forward to going back for more soon.”
“Caston and Sue are wonderful hosts, this is a special little pub with a wonderful atmosphere, a warm welcome and great food.”
“Was nice and lively when we arrived (around 9.30 on a Friday night), but the service was quick and friendly. Prices were good and there is a couple of parking spots. Large toilets for both ladies and gents, and a pool table in its area to the back of the pub.”
“Just the most delicious antipasti, venison steak and lemon tart! The chef knows what he’s doing and Lizzie is excellent front of house. Thank you for such an amazing meal. Will be back!”
“This place is amazing, so much choice it makes your head spin. My favourite is German beer and the variety they stock is brilliant from Helles, Kolsch, Weiss Beer, Pilsner, Oktoberfest and much more. Love this place and the staff are very friendly.”
“Had a great Sunday roast. Huge Yorkshire pudding, lovely fresh vegetables and excellent slices of beef topped with a gravy boat. Service was very good too”
“Sunday lunch in the Great Hall; great atmosphere in an impressive venue. Menu perhaps a little small, but very well cooked and impressively presented. Staff friendly and engaging, if sometimes slightly stretched at busy times.”
“So lucky to have The Crown just up the road from me. Enjoyed it's boozy offerings for a while but never got the chance to sit down for a proper meal until recently. Food and service are bang on, and it's such a cosy space. My only criticism was the scotch egg was a little overcooked, but the main course made up for it. Will definitely be back!”
“We went today for lunch, and didn't book a table. However, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food delicious, The menu is very large, so choose well as the portions are generous. It's great they have a lunchtime menu option. Recommend the home made chips if you get the option if it comes your way. We have also been again recently with some friends who hadn't been before, they loved it. The food was excellent, I'd recommend the seafood salad, two of my favourite things to eat. A large portion, but just delicious. No room for pudding for me, next time perhaps! If you've not been yet. You have to go, but book a table.”
“First visit to this branch and it was superb . Service was warm and friendly from the greeting to the exit . The food was tasty hot and great value . Its a crying shame they are not closer to our home address. Will definitely revisit and the restaurant is a credit to the management and staff . Ps I dont work for them either .”
“Straightforward room in the car park of a lovely pub. Fantastic value for money, friendly people, great food. Will definitely be back again when working in the area. Zero mobile signal but WiFi worked well.”
“It was our first visit to the Black Swan yesterday for Sunday dinner. We ordered the Sunday roast and it was delicious! Plenty of food and the cauliflower cheese was the best I have ever had. Desserts not be missed however full you may feel. We will be returning regulary ( just moved to the area). Well done to the chefs!”
“We ate here for Mothers day, it was a treat. Set menu had plenty of options. Staff were amazing, I have dairy and gluten intolerance and was very much accommodated and they even made me a special dessert so I could have one. The location is beautiful and inside is rustic and very well kept and clean.”
“Amazing customer service from Karen the moment I checked in. Super friendly with such a warm welcome. The room was just lovely. Very clean, spacious and airy with a lovely view. The location is perfect, just a15 minute drive to Norwich town centre. The food was great and the spa was wonderful. Can’t fault this place. Highly recommend and will DEFINITELY be returning ❤️”
“Visited for my mums 95th birthday very accommodating with menu for my Mum. Food was piping hot and great portion sizes. Nice atmosphere and Wed night specials as well as the main menu. Great selection also. Will definitely return Empty plates all round.”
“We were looking for somewhere and hadn't booked. Found this on the map. What a winner. I have a dairy allergy and they took it so seriously. They knew the menu inside and out. The location is stunning and would be lovely on a summer day. The food was enormous. Plentiful. Six in our group. 2 x sausage and mash. The only small complaint was the veg being a little too under cooked 1 x double house burger - handmade patty and my son loved it. 1 x kids chicken nuggets. I will say these looked lovely but for my fussy eater too much batter 1 x ricotta stuffed chicken breast. Again looked amazing 1 x vegan halloumi burger 1 x side of onion rings. All bar one couldnt finish the food. We did ask for the desert menu to be nosey but the staff forgot to bring. So we took it as a sign that was enough for us. Full belly's and happy kids. Its worth a visit”
“Serving reasonably charged nice beer. Location is quite convenient. Parking is somewhat limited but easily accessible via bus or taxi anyway. Would recommend a visit if you're in Norwich.”
“Wonderful little pub. Great cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and punters. Tacos there fantastic too. Can’t go wrong.”
“Went in as it was part of my City of Ale trail and found the pub very relaxing and some nice interesting photos on the pub walls , and was visited by the Landlord's dog lovely little chap bit out of the way as i live on the other side of the city.”
“I recently dined at Côte Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with each dish prepared to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout, ensuring we felt well taken care of. The menu offered a great selection of classic French dishes, all with fresh, quality ingredients. Overall, Côte Restaurant provided a delightful dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic French cuisine and exceptional service.”
“The best steak house going. Very few places offer the hot plate so you can cook your steak to your liking. Delicious starters and deserts too..”
“One of my favourite pubs on The Broads. Delicious food - had a lovely steak pie with mash and veg. Great gravy! Service was good and plenty of people in so recommend booking. Within easy walk of local river moorings.”
