βA hidden gem! We booked a last minute stay in a shepherdβs hut and were so glad we did! Bob and Helen made us so welcome and provide everything to make your stay so comfortable. Set in beautiful countryside with great walks, farm animals - including chickens that provide breakfast eggs, we canβt recommend it highly enough. Great for families with little ones.β
βCould not recommend The Ironmongers more - what a gorgeous building with every room renovated beautifully. The location is perfect, with some lovely places not even a 5 minute walk away. Tim was fantastic throughout, provided clear, easy to follow instructions for the self check in and was super responsive during booking.β
βLovely hotel with an intimate feel and exceptionally considerate service. What sets this establishment apart from many others is they seem to genuinely want you to have a comfortable and happy stay. Plenty of times, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They made a special effort to cater for dietary requirements and everywhere was super clean and maintained. The gardens are immaculate and they were setting up for a wedding on the day we left. The attention to detail was amazing. Comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented. Definitely the best meal I've had this year. Felt this was good value dinner bed and breakfast package with 2 hours spa thrown in. Would recommend and return with friends and family. It would make a beautiful gift for someone you love.β
βWe visited Stower Grange for a wedding (we took over all the rooms bar 1) and every single thing was perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and there were even homemade biscuits waiting for us on arrival. We met the hotel owner and what an absolutely charming man! He clearly loves what he does and can not do enough for you to make sure you're having a great time. The hotel looks like something from a film and the grounds are equally lovely, there's even a little swing in the garden. The breakfast options were to die for with local produce and everything cooked to your liking. We will definitely be returning.β
βOur dog Scooby is made to feel so welcome, he is looked after like royalty, and doesn't want to come home. We have no anxieties when going on holiday as we know he is being loved and cared for.β
βWe visited βThe Birdβ during a stay with family, it was brilliant. Fantastic menu in a spacious and beautiful restaurant/bar. The staff were without exception friendly, polite and attentive to all our requests. It was a pleasure to be there and without doubt be returning. Only problem is we live in Kent so will come back when we can.β
βStopped for a drink and the menu looked nice so ended up having a starter! Nice place with a nice view if you sit out the front - can watch the world go by. Friendly staff and served fast at the bar for drinks - table service for food. I had pineapple juice which I am glad was sunpride - only the best !β
βAmazing customer service from Karen the moment I checked in. Super friendly with such a warm welcome. The room was just lovely. Very clean, spacious and airy with a lovely view. The location is perfect, just a15 minute drive to Norwich town centre. The food was great and the spa was wonderful. Canβt fault this place. Highly recommend and will DEFINITELY be returning β€οΈβ
βEasy walk from the city centre. Large comfortable rooms. Limited menu, tasty OK for a few days. Friendly staff.β

βYogi is always so calm after a stay at the cattery. Hes out chilling in our garden. It's lovely to see he has a home from home.β
βI stayed here for a long weekend. It was very clean, modern and in a great location. I would 100% stay again.β
βIt was the first time we were leaving our Lola to go on holiday; we were a bit anxious about it as we were not sure how she would settle in the hotel. We were extremely relieved after receiving the first email with updates and photos of Lola. She looked happy and very well looked after. She had a nice pen, with toys and a window to look out of. We were impressed with the care The Cat Hotel offered and provided. A vet checked her over before her stay, which was reassuring, and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely use The Cat Hotel again. Thank you so much for looking after our Lola so well!β
βThank you to all the Staff that hosted my Motherβs wake on 12th August. The room was bright and very clean with a wonderful view of the river. Staff were courteous and the food excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending this establishment. Thank you so much.β
βA lovely hotel for both business and recreation in my view. Well appointed rooms with lovely fluffy towels. Delicious food in the restaurant. A wonderful breakfast which set me up well for the day ahead and kept me full all day. Polite and helpful staff I would recommend this hotel.β
βFive of us booked for dinner on Saturday evening. We were given a fantastic private space with a round table. Service was brilliant, staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Food choices excellent and very tasty. We fish cooked perfectly, rib eye steak wonderful. Limited but good beer selection and a very wide choice of wines and whisky.β
βWonderful room for three days over the weekend. We were attending a family wedding in the locality. The bar service was excellent, staff were attentive, informative and exceptionally polite. Our room was spacious and contained everything we required for the duration of the stay. Rooms were very clean and the service was amazing.β
βLovely local for a proper traditional Sunday Lunch. During the week double stack the renowned 'George burger' - trust me they make them delicious. The George has run the best cellar in Dereham for the last 20 years. Great focus on clean drinking ale and lagers.β
βReally comfortable and generously sized room. But it was the staff who really made it an excellent venue. Can we especially mention Jake in the kitchen who took extraordinary care in the preparation of our dinner and breakfast. Our son has coeliac desease and the staff were very kind understanding and sensitive to his needs. Jake came through with especial care in the preparation of his food. We are most grateful.β
βHoliday Inn Norwich City is a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient. Everything felt well organised and welcoming. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely return.β
βI plan to stay here on any future visits to Norwich. The rooms are incredibly well maintained and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches throughout. My daughter was delighted by the avian-themed wallpaper (a perfect follow-up to our day spent feeding and watching birds at Whitlingham). The bathroom is modern and beautifully finished. Despite the central location, the street noise is impressively well dampened, allowing for a restful night. The staff are also exceptional, incredibly helpful even before we arrived, and similarly welcoming once we did.β
βSpotlessly clean, good shower, and a comfy bed. Handy for the railway station and an easy walk into town. At the price, I couldn't have asked for more.β
βEvery time we visit Hotel Wroxham, we leave suitably impressed. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated with wonderful views of the river across the terrace. All staff are friendly, polite and very attentive - true 'service with a smile'. And the food is superb. An inspiring menu of beautifully cooked and presented food. Whether you just want a quiet drink with your dog by the river or a fine three course dining experience, this is the place to come. A true Broadland gem.β
βDidn't book and turned up on a whim. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and sorted us a table even though most tables were reserved. Food was fantastic when it arrived. Beautifully presented and so delicious. Decided on a pudding which we don't normally do. Also fantastic. First time here and when we return to the Broads again, we will revisit.β
βAn lovely, cosy hotel with a homely charm. Quiet and tranquil despite being in the centre of town. The proprietors are charming and although they are not there all of the time there is a phone number to call should you need them but everything you need is provided in the imdividually decorated rooms. No it isnβt modern, no it doesnβt have some of the facilities of the βchainβ hotels but it more than makes up for it in uniqueness and the warm and thoughtful welcome. I would happily return any time. Thank you for reminding me of what good hotels used to be like before they all started to look the same.β
βVery enjoyable stay before Latitude. Staff are always very nice and the room we had was excellent. Booze and food very well priced. Perfect starting point for Latitude.β
βPerfect for attending the showground. Leave the van sidewalk over. Rooms are large cleaning and comfortable. My only gripe was the road noise from the A47. I like a bit of ventilation at night but the trade off was road noise. Other than that, pleasant visit.β
βSUCH a great place to stay at. Convenient for the City. Comfortable rooms and good facilities. The Staff always welcome you whether it's your first visit or you've been many times. Looking forward to staying there again soon.β
βAll the staff very friendly and helpful from the start to the end. The room was spacious and very clean with a lovely bed and bathroom leading to excellent nights sleep. Both the evening meal and breakfast was first class. Overall excellent.β
