Set in beautiful grounds on the Norfolk broads. The decor is lovely and the staff are always friendly and super helpful too. I have been coming here for several years now and the staff, service, food etc has always been consistently excellent and there is a sense of community that can come from a wonderfully run independent hotel such as this. The rooms are lovely and the spa is amazing. Thank you X

We had a lovely two nights at the Norfolk Mead and had a delicious dinner too. Breakfast was well catered for but as I only had eggs on toast I can only vouch for those. Service was excellent with all staff being friendly and helpful. We also took advantage of the spa pool, steam room, sauna and as I wasn’t brave enough for the cold water deluge, the artic shower experience. My only reservation is that phones were allowed in the spa which meant people taking photos (they are usually not allowed) and watching loud videos in the quiet reflection zone - some people are so ignorant. Otherwise, we had a peaceful and relaxing stay and are definitely returning.

The hotel is set in a beautiful and quiet location. The hotel itself was lovely and clean and the room we stayed in was really nice. We had a spa experience and Aromassage treatment. I had Lois for my massage and she was excellent. Very friendly, professional and I felt great after the massage. The spa area is really nice with lots of ways to relax. The food was really good too. I had the ribeye with chips and the pork belly for starters. The staff here are all very welcoming and friendly. Can’t fault this place and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely hotel with an intimate feel and exceptionally considerate service. What sets this establishment apart from many others is they seem to genuinely want you to have a comfortable and happy stay. Plenty of times, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They made a special effort to cater for dietary requirements and everywhere was super clean and maintained. The gardens are immaculate and they were setting up for a wedding on the day we left. The attention to detail was amazing. Comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented. Definitely the best meal I've had this year. Felt this was good value dinner bed and breakfast package with 2 hours spa thrown in. Would recommend and return with friends and family. It would make a beautiful gift for someone you love.

We were at the Norfolk Mead for a couple of days, to celebrate a family wedding and we were so pleasantly surprised by this absolute gem of a place. The Norfolk Mead, despite being a relatively small hotel was such a friendly place with absolutely smashing people! I really don't think I have met a more accommodating and pleasant bunch in all my years of travel. The arrangements for the wedding were topnotch and everything went like clockwork. Kudos, you guys! You rock!

Norfolk Mead is an awesome place for a wedding. That was easy wasn't it. Let me add some meat to the bone. I've shot several weddings here. Norfolk Mead is run by an incredible team who make sure everything runs smoothly and without a hitch, with fab food, great range of drink and stunning grounds which are great to roam around in. There's even a river to explore! Want an intimate ceremony? Easy. Want a MASSIVE party? Perfect! The grounds are immaculate and the light there is perfect for photos, plus if friends and family get too tipsy, there's plenty of rooms available for them to stay in. It's well worth a visit just for the drinks. Have a gander and see what you think. :)

Sunday afternoon visit for afternoon tea. 4pm is start time due to Sunday lunches. Time suited our party of 4 fine. Very busy on arrival but attentive staff ensured we were quickly sat down. Afternoon teas had been prepared so were soon brought to the table after taking our drinks order. I do not eat cheese so it was lovely to receive a plate of sandwiches with cheese omitted. Very tasty food cakes and scones delicious. Too much to eat, we able to take away for later cakes/scone we were unable to manage. Thoroughly recommend a visit .

W stayed for one night mid week and arrived to find we had a room up-grade. This is an excellent boutique hotel in attractive grounds. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. The mid week package of room/dinner and breakfast was very good value too.

My wife and I stayed there two weeks ago, for two nights at a weekend. This hotel is a popular wedding venue. During our stay there was a wedding going on, no problem as it was in another part of the estate. Until wedding guests came into there room above us at 12.30am stomping around on creaking wooden floors, and running taps for some time. On our second night they had gone from above and our sleep was bliss. The food in the hotel was excellent, some of the best we had eaten anywhere. The staff were friendly and very efficient , although some seem to have too multitask . We had a deluxe room which was extremely clean and bright. The grounds are large and kept in a well manicure condition. We will definitely stay here again, but next time in midweek when hopefully there isn't a wedding on.
