   Friendly helpful staff. Compact, comfortable, unique rooms with beautiful vista over open ground containing wildlife. Binoculars on table to help nature lovers. Very tasty breakfast too!

   Thank you to all the Staff that hosted my Mother’s wake on 12th August. The room was bright and very clean with a wonderful view of the river. Staff were courteous and the food excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending this establishment. Thank you so much.

   We stayed in the hotel to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and our room overlooking the river and meadows was wonderful. So spacious with lots of space for clothes etc. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked to order. We dined there one evening and were impressed with the food. Two things could be improved - seating space near the bar for drinks. We could enjoy a drink outside as the weather was good but what happens in winter? The outdoor tables were in serious need of being repainted. They looked dreadful! ☹️ Wonderful location in a delightful market town.

   We weren't intending to stay at The Waveney hotel but our car broke down and needed a place to stay for the night as an emergency. The hotel staff accommodated us at midnight with two young children and were so lovely, they helped us to get our car fixed and even dropped us to the mechanics. Genuinely the nicest people. As a plus, the hotel was really lovely, it was very clean and in a lovely setting next to the Waveney river as well as the cute little town. We stayed in the family room which was huge and very nicely decorated.

   Stayed here for a Wedding this weekend, such a beautiful place and wonderful setting. The room was very pretty, lovely old beams, and fittings. The weather was very hot this weekend and sadly the room was so very hot. A fan was provided. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent food, both in the restaurant and at the wedding reception. Would definitely recommend this place.

   Absolutely amazing! We held a surprise 60th party here in the middle of December and they were amazing. Massive thanks to Lisa for helping us arrange it so close to Christmas and last minute! Also big thanks to Kim for making it all come together perfectly on the night. Must also shout out the chefs for putting together a delicious bespoke buffet

   Party arrangements were good apart from us all sitting right outside the servers door to the kitchen and we were all moaning about the freezing draft every time the door was open and shut, the rooms were freezing and then we woke in the middle of the night boiling hot because the heating went on when we did manage to doze off and the windows were jammed shut so hardly slept , more modern down stairs but the rooms and corridors were very tired looking. Staff were amazing and polite and friendly.

   Set in a beautiful area. A lovely little town full of character. The hotel is situated on the river. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Food and drink are excellent. Staff are polite and welcoming. We will be back.

   The Waveney hosted my best friends wedding this weekend, and the whole event was sensational. The staff were attentive and accommodating, the venue was immaculate and the food incredible. As a father of two young children we were blown away by the staffs attitude towards our children, always checking in to make sure they were ok. We also stayed the night in one of the rooms which was also immaculate and very comfortable. Can’t recommend enough
