“We stayed two nights (Autumn Dinner Bed and Breakfast package) in a beautiful clean, quiet room. Breakfast and dinner menu offered plenty of options. Each of our meals was nicely presented and tasty. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. Special thanks to Catriona in the dining room who pleasantly tolerated and met our requests. ☺️”

“Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Theo our puppy has been visiting from July when he was just 8 weeks old. Sometimes for day care, sometimes a night or two, other times for the BEST wash ever!!! He even had his first hair cut with Roisin. Yep they wash and groom also, 5* service. One stop shop. Your doggy will never smell or be so clean. Love the videos and photos you receive during their stay. The place is amazing, as are Arlene and Roisin. Every dog treated as their own. I knew the first time I left him off he was gonna be well looked after. Maybe too well looked after.... the little devil cried when we lifted him today after a two night stay. If that isn’t a recommendation I don’t know what is. If your looking a home away from home for your pet, this is the place to go. So glad I found it, would be lost without them now. “Brilliant accommodation in a quiet location with beautiful views of the Mourne Mountains. It's also very handy to Newcastle. I booked 5 cottages for a hen do, it's the perfect spot for a large group or extended family. The cottages were clean and Phil was friendly and helpful.”

“A perfect night away. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was lovely . We had a delicious meal with an incredible evening view of Carlingford lough. We have enjoyed meals here before but so glad we decided to stay the night too. Breakfast was great and again staff were chatty and helpful. We will definitely return for another relaxed stay.”

“Room 4 for the weekend. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Especially the guy serving breakfast on both days and the young lady on Sunday morning. So friendly and welcoming. Ate here both nights. Food was really tasty and filling. Plenty of seats in the bar. Band on Saturday night. And free entry to the disco. Ventured in to laugh at the hens and stags who had been drinking in PJs all day. Breakfast was fab.”

“Such a lovely tranquil place. The sense of being able to just relax. My first visit. Sat outside, table service and looking out at a peaceful, amazing and unspoiled view of the Mournes. Homely but very professional. A pleasant surprise for me as I don't live that far away. The owners should be very proud of that haven....”

“Spend the weekend at this fantastic hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother, went over and above for our group. Stayed in deluxe family room , beds comfy serviced every day. Used the spa facilities and they were impeccable. I am definitely returning for another stay and highly recommend it.”

“This is a wonderful locally owned hotel and I would absolutely recommend staying here. It is not luxury but you couldn't ask for nicer people and a more comfortable stay. It is right in the center, close to the intercity bus station, and nearby to food and drink. Also, hikes are an easy walk from the front door.”

“Myself and my husband have just returned from staying in Does Den, if you are looking for a place to completely get away from it all this is the perfect spot. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and we were fortunate enough to spot a Fawn whilst we were relaxing outside our cabin. The cabin was beautiful, absolutely spotless and the most comfy bed I've slept in, it was so peaceful I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages. We also done the electric picnic and forest spa and I would highly recommend both, great experience cycling around the forest and the picnic we had afterwards in the gazebo was absolutely beautiful. The forest spa was so beautiful and secluded, the scenery was outstanding. The entire stay was so wonderful and we can't wait to go back. One of the absolute best parts of the stay was the service we received from Andy, an absolute gentleman who couldn't do enough for us, from setting up the hot tub so we could enjoy a relaxing soak to delivering the most beautiful breakfast the next morning. Nothing was too much trouble for him and everything was explained well to us. The whole experience was wonderful and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.”

“A wonderful old style B&B with personal touches! It was a very special experience with our host Kiera. From the moment we arrived we found her waiting to assist us in getting our things and give us a tour of the room. She then took our custom breakfast order for the next day. We woke up the next day to a beautiful view of the countryside and a homemade breakfast. It does not get any better than this. Plus the wonderful conversations! It was LOVELY!!”

The location is superb affording beautiful views and the perfect place to explore the trails of the Mourne Mountains. The accomodation is spotless, beautifully decorated with comfy lounging areas and importantly comfortable beds. Emma cooks the best breakfasts using local produce and catered for my gluten free needs. Baby Faith is a delight! This is the best B&B experience we have had anywhere. Don’t hesitate to book!”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Willowtree for our anniversary. The Goldfinch room is just beautiful — so thoughtfully done, and the view from it is incredible! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and how peaceful and remote everything felt. Waking up to the stunning views of the Mourne Mountains was such a treat. Ciara and Derek were wonderful hosts — so kind and welcoming. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing, romantic getaway. Highly recommend!”

“We stayed in jimmys cottage for 5 nights. Our two dogs were more than welcome which is mainly why we booked here. The view of the mountains is fantastic, we were able to walk into tollymore by going down the lane. Cottage is roomy and really clean. The milk and biscuits were a lovely gesture. Jacinta was always available to answer queries, much appreciated. We were able to close the gate and it was safe for the dogs to run around. Jimmys is detached and fully enclosed. We will miss the view and the tranquility and would definitely stay here again.”
