“This is one of the most beautiful B&Bs we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Immaculately clean; top quality homemade cooking; gorgeous light and modern rooms with comfortable beds. The view of the Carlingford Lough and Slieve Martin from our balcony is just stunning! Like a fairytale storybook view and right on the doorstep of the famous enchanting trails of Kilbroney Park. The house itself is overlooking a beautiful manicured garden square surrounded by gorgeous Victorian style town houses. The private gardens of the B&B are just beautiful and exquisite, we enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and home cooked Irish breakfast in the sun trap of the conservatory (even in January!!), overlooking the boats floating on the Misty winter subbed Lough. The village of Rostrevor is like a mystical land of it’s own with traditional music in cosy pubs every night; gift shops; art boutiques; artists; writers; rich culture and heritage trails as well as festivals all year round. John and Anne are an absolute delight to spend time with. So friendly and feel like family! Anne is a deep spiritual soul; a local woman of many talents who has travelled the world with the famous Sands Folk Band and her work as a painter. John (originally from Dublin) with his background in journalism and as a historical tour guide entertained and delighted us with many interesting tales and anecdotes. We can’t recommend a stay at the Sands B&B enough and would now consider it a home away from home. 5 stars!! A gem of an escape away into a fairytale lane of old ✨”
“Great apartments with everything you need including on site parking.”
“James and Nicola are friendly, attentive and accomadating hosts . Their period home is charming and comfortable and in a good location for day trips to the coastal village of Kilough for e.g. We brought our collie with us and she was accommadated well as they have dogs of their own. Harty and tasty breakfasts are provided to set you up for the day for trips further afield in Nl.!”
“Lovely location within 5 minutes walk from the beach. Comfortable beds! Really friendly couple who couldn’t have done more for us. We were staying here for the four peaks challenge and had to be on the lower slopes of Slieve Donard at 06:00. They got up and put a full breakfast on at 5 am! Top work, excellent service. Thanks from the 4 Peaks Heroes!”
“We had a lovely stay at Dacara Bed & Breakfast. A lovely location. A wonderful room, a fantastic breakfast and our host Breeda was amazing. Thank you so much”
“Room was a bit smaller than anticipated, but that being said it had everything that was needed. Service and location were excellent and it was worth the price for the breakfast alone! Diana was one of the nicest hosts I've met. Would definitely stay again.”

“We stayed as a group in the bunk house for 3 nights. The location is an absolute dream. Waking up to ocean views, Mountain views, grazing sheep among yellow hedges and so much peace and quiet. frank was absolutely lovely and tended to our every need. This is a special place in the Mourne Mountains with close access to many hikes and walks.”
“Went on 18 Dec 2020 to pickup a boat. It is a wild place, good to clear out the lungs. People salt of the earth, pity the ferry was not running due to Covid, would have been a great experience to cross the Lough.”
“We stayed a few weeks ago - 17 of us..the house is fantastic - in a great spot witb beautiful views. All rooms were brilliant and the host got straight back to us with any questions we had.. including booking us a bus to go to a restaurant in Newcastle. I would highly recommend the Brambles!”
“As a large family, renting Inch Schoolhouse was the highlight of our trip abroad. The home is well appointed with multiple opportunities to both recreate and relax. I highly recommend!!”
“Great place to stop over, very close to the village. Facing the Lough and Ferry with spectacular views. Especially at sunset. Fabulous friendly staff who work very hard to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. Well worth a visit.”

“I attended a motorcycle rally in Newcastle Belfast. The location and views are amazing. Look out from your window up to the hills. Breakfast is amazing, and prepared perfectly. This B&B offers great value for your money.”
“We visited last summer and I am just now looking this place up to recommend to friends who are traveling soon. This is, by far, the most welcome we have ever felt in a B&B. The rooms are cozy and luxe, remodeled completely by the hosts. Books abound. Nooks to drink coffee in, space for groups, and an absolutely lovely child and pup are roaming around. Hosts picked us up from the bus station, fed us in the mornings, and took us to the foot of Slieve Donard to hike and explore Tollymore forest. We were only there a short time, but I can confidently say we will return to Newcastle and to Bryansford cottage. I believe they are adding on an event space which I am sure will only enhance the grounds. I apologize for my lack of photos of the indoor space, but just know that they are beautiful and will be up to your expectations. Attached are photos of the grounds, the forest and our hike.”
