“Prepare yourself with the right walking shoes, a picnic lunch, jackets in case you get cold. Tons of places for a picnic lunch. Great little magic moments throughout. Lots of views and sounds of streams and rivers. Some small plaques explaining the history pieces. Fantastic assortment of large tree varieties, wish they had the botanical scientific names in front of many of the species as they are very unique.”

“Nice park for a walk, with different level routes. There is playground for children so everybody is happy ;) Also you can get coffee and some food and they have toilets. I was here socond and not the last time. Enjoy the walk and don't miss the black routr as we did ;)”

“An exceptional and amazing forest to visit. Native Ancient Irish woodland and with only 2% coverage in Ireland a real gem. Some of the trees are truly majestic. Bought by the Woodland Trust in 2021 it is due to open to the public summer 2022. A truly amazing place.”

“The camping spaces have plenty of room and are close to water taps,toilets and showers. It is very well maintained and the views and walks are lovely. It is a dog friendly campsite which is a bonus.”

“You can walk hours and hours. See at a distance a seals colony. Is so big that even there could be a lot of people there is room for everyone. Easy. But please check for the tides to make the best of it.”

“Lovely place for a walk and a picnic. Entry was just £5 for the car. Toilets located in the carpark as is a coffee shop. Plenty of picnic tables located in the green area around the carpark. Walks offer stunning views.”

“A nice park at a walkable distance from Carlingford town. They have these unique installments with folklore stories written next to them. The admission to the park is free. There are some picnic tables as well. The view of the mountains is fantastic. It can get a little windy during the evenings.”

“We went on the twelfth weekend and came home on the Friday (Friday-friday) so good as my one of my family members went to a&e on the Friday we came so we were late the caravan office closes at 5 pm we arrived at 5:15pm and still were able to come ok We had a shop close by so we were able to get all our shopping for the week ahead!!!!!! We were able to go in to Newcastle in 5 mins to go to cafes and go to food places We enjoyed having a break We stayed in the childrens heartbeat caravan Max Carol and Neale Buick Thanks Gareth”

“Free parking & brilliant views. The road heading towards there is the most amazing I've ever been on! Cant say much about the walk, when i got there the wind was baltic so decided not to go out.”

“Site always clean you get no bother from anyone the People are so nice around u and walking distance from Tesco's the town center the beach it's the perfect we spot”

“Fantastic walk from here with a viewing area and great country walk to the sea and the Bloody Bridge. It was very windy when we visited so had huge waves crashing in from the sea. Very atmospheric. Climbing over rocks under the bridge was great but a bit risky if you don’t want to risk getting wet! Free car park with toilets but is apparently very busy in the summer.”

“A wonderful stay in the touring park. Pitch number 2. Could not have been closer to the sea. Spotless facilities. Quiet at night. Beautiful surroundings.”

“Great wee park plenty of things to do, several slides, roundabout, zip line, swings and plenty of climbing equipment, and good size toddler play area too. Close to Tesco's and not too far from friar tucks, parking is available with toilet facilities. There is also a little walk you can do.”

“If you hadn't heard of it there was a big fire on April Sunday Easter Sunday somebody or something that big trees of Fire represent bonnys caravan park I felt really bad as it go into Newcastle Centre and go to sleep there on that no 10 really close Clifton houses on toy Branigan Road had to evacuate as well because what if the fire reach them thankfully it did not and everyone safe”

“The kids loved here. Its all trampolines and sponge pits . They are supervised and you can get fresh pizzas cold drinks coffee tea and traybakes too. They also have party room . Would highly recommend here .”

“Small car park so if you’re not an early starter you won’t get a spot. Easy access to the Mournes via the Trassey Track. Hares Gap turn right for Bernagh or left along the wall to Commedagh. Take the Brandy pad for an easy route to Donnard. Meelmore and Spellack are accessible on the right as you walk up the Trassey Track.”

“Brilliant accommodation in a quiet location with beautiful views of the Mourne Mountains. It's also very handy to Newcastle. I booked 5 cottages for a hen do, it's the perfect spot for a large group or extended family. The cottages were clean and Phil was friendly and helpful.”

“Beautiful area. You can walk around the lake and then stop for a coffee at the mobile cafe. Then make your way around the more formal gardens.”

“Great carpark by the bay. Handy for parking and walking along the old railway line just above the high tide line. At low tide you can see the oyster farm and occasionally watch the bags being shaken and checked.”

“A beautiful quiet apt. Anyone would be happy to stay. Its got everything any person could wish for.”

“Excellent caravan site and well kept clean and presented. There's a children's play ground area a laundry facilities a shop and cafe aswell.The beach is a 10 minute walk from site.”

They have a great selection of traybakes and all the essentials for your shopping needs.”
