Pools for swimming in Newcastle

“I was on the Mallorca training camp in May, 2024 with Belpark Triathlon Club and the guys from Primed Coaching. We had an amazing week of swimming, cycling, running and a lot of craic too. The camp was incredibly well organised and run. If you really want to accelerate your training and enjoy a lovely week in the sun then don't hesitate to book. Hotel and food were amazing too and completely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!”

“Very lovely beach. Wide and deep. Brilliant views from the coast. Small playground by the car park. Car park it self is small with spaces for maybe 15 cars but more parking opportunities along the ciast. Clean, tidy, well kept. There's a wee coffee trailer at the car park but it closes at 5pm and very often they only take cash. In all very good place to chill and relax if the weather permits.”

“We had fab weather for it. Took us a good 20 minutes of wondering around to get to the middle. We were told there was a bell in the middle to ring but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. It was €5 to park in the car park and then we could walk around the grounds as we pleased. The lake was gorgeous also”

“Have just came acre this wee hidden gem of a beach - bear in mind yes partly sand but quite a bit Rock , great picnic area so long as ppl take their rubbish home”

“The gardens and butterfly house are well worth looking at. The house isn't very big, but there's plenty to see. We brought a picnic and supplemented it with tea coffee from the cafe. Sat at the picnic tables amongst the many peacocks and enjoyed the sun. Gardens and maze are beautiful.”

“We hired bikes for half a day including a toddler trailer. We absolutely loved it! The grounds themselves are beautiful and well kept. Customer service from booking to on the day hire was second to none. Easy to book, easy to communicate with and very friendly and professional on site. Would definitely recommend clear sky and we will most definitely be back to see what else is on offer. Great day out!”

“Spend the weekend at this fantastic hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother, went over and above for our group. Stayed in deluxe family room , beds comfy serviced every day. Used the spa facilities and they were impeccable. I am definitely returning for another stay and highly recommend it.”

“Swimming pool is good temperature, clean and not too crowded. Vitality suite is a bit of luxury, includes sauna, steam room jacuzzi and thermal bed.”

Our room was lovely with views over the canal and a massive bed. Shower and bath pressure was great. Leisure centre facilities were also very nice. Overall a very positive stay”

“We stayed as a group in the bunk house for 3 nights. The location is an absolute dream. Waking up to ocean views, Mountain views, grazing sheep among yellow hedges and so much peace and quiet. frank was absolutely lovely and tended to our every need. This is a special place in the Mourne Mountains with close access to many hikes and walks.”

“Beautiful churches and round tower with historic graveyard. The new church and grounds are beautifully kept with a lovely lane leading up. Access to the round tower is through a field. The old church and graveyard are behind the new church. The ground is very uneven and the grass long.”

“What an absolutely amazing visit to aquarium. Took our 3 month old granddaughter and here face was an absolute picture she loved the under water tunnel . Great range of all aquatic animals and seeing the baby seals was so cute. A great couple of hours was had very well recommended”

“It's still a lot less busy than it was before the manufactured lockdown so you can use the gym and swim whenever suits you. The pool will be closing end of November for 6 weeks for repairs.”

“Went here in recommendation from my brother, as Newry Pool is closed AGAIN. Took my 18 month old by myself for her first swim. The staff were wonderful, especially Niamh, who helped me with great safety advice. The building is showing signs of it's age, but it was spotlessly clean and a very safe environment for babies. I didn't get to use the steam room this time, but I'll definitely be back. The receptionist was lovely too.”

Spent a lot of time in choosing the correct hot tub for us. Told us delivery date and it arrived directly on time. Hot tub is now fitted and we absolutely love it. We found Tim’s service to be amazing. Highly Recommend.”
