“Wow what can I say, I have always been afraid of water and always been a non swimmer, this year I turned 40 and decided this would be my challenge, I’m so glad to have met Sandra. She is the perfect teacher, she has a wealth of knowledge and puts you completely at ease and I feel very safe and comfortable with her, she has given me so much confidence and i am starting to love my swimming journey and it’s all thanks to Sandra. I could not recommend her highly enough. She’s just amazing.”
“I’ve been taking my 19m old daughter Maya along to early years swim classes for about 5 months now. She absolutely loves it, and her confidence in the water has come on so much as a result. This is largely due to the efforts of her instructor Dianne, She gives all the kids fantastic encouragement, as well as creating a fun and stimulating environment for them to be confident in the water, and learn new skills. The facilities and all staff at swim Coatbridge are excellent. All very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Creates a warm and inclusive environment for kids and parents. I would absolutely recommend.”
“Met with Sarah and had a full tour of the facility. She was very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions and made me feel welcome at the club. Introduced me to Julie just before an aqua class was starting and she made me feel welcome too. Have now joined and signing up for aqua class later on this week. Thank you Sarah.”
“Sam loves his lessons at Michael Jamieson. The Academy itself has a real passion to teach kids to swim and teach them well. Amanda his instructor is really quite fantastic. Her time, effort and commitment shine through at each lesson as does her genuine passion for swimming. Amanda has not only taught Sam to swim, but to swim safely, with confidence, but most of all her belief in him has given him the confidence to finally become a swimmer.”
“Absolutely fabulous! Took the dog swimming here tonight with a friend and their dog. What a wonderful fun time we all had. The pool is excellent! My dog had a brilliant time and was getting more and more confident throughout the session. Such joy to see your furry baby having the best time”
“Great outdoor pool! Salt water pool with showers, changing rooms and a fab view! £6.20 entry, well worth the visit. Will be back!”
“Outstanding service from start to finish. Graeme, the owner, went above and beyond — even attending on a Saturday evening at short notice to sort a leak with our pool. Friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us updated at every stage. A genuinely brilliant team. Would recommend them without hesitation.”
“Heather is an amazing teacher. Forget everything that you may have been taught before, she completely transforms how you swim and how you feel about being in the pool. From the very first taster session she gave me so much confidence and removed any of the fears that I had. I really enjoyed the lessons, something I have never said about being in a swimming pool. I can't thank Heather enough, I've gone from someone who would never go near a pool even on holiday to someone who is now looking forward to getting into the pool on a regular basis.”
“Really great swim school, very well organised and both my children absolutely love their swim instructor (morten) they are very flexible too with rescheduling lessons. My son especially has come on so much with his swimming and we plan to continue until they are both very competent swimmers.”
“Euan has raised the bar to EXCEPTIONAL! His new management has revamped EVERYTHING to the highest quality & standard! My husband, Frank Frulio, and I are thoroughly impressed. The club is super CLEAN, METICULOUS & VERY WELL KEPT! It's an escape from reality & true serenity. One of my favorite hidden treasures in Glasgow! THANK YOU EUAN for all your hard work!”
“My wee one goes to swimming classes there and she loves it. She's been to a few pools round the area, but Port Glasgow is one of the cleanest, without the horrendous chlorine smell that other pools have. Staff are always nice and friendly. The water is warm and the viewing platform is handy.”
“Exactly as a swimming pool should be for families. Swimming lessons well organised and safely executed.”
“The dance class, cycling studio, and swimming pool were all well-maintained and clean. The staff were all polite and friendly. It is an enjoyable environment, and I am grateful for it.”
“The guys that run it are amazing and friendly, welcoming, passionate about getting people involved in what ever sport or community event they have and the archery is great enjoyed every minute”
“Nice gym. Has a wide variety of equipment, squat racks, and helpful staff. Very large space inside. Everything you need and it never feels so busy you can’t get in a good workout. Recommend!”
“I started going swimming here then decided to get a membership its only a small gym but perfect for me just trying to get out the house abit and lose a little weight the have a sauna and sreamroom to. The big pool is currently closed for while as needed a repair however the kids pool and all the other facilities are still open. The staff and freindy and no judgemental.”
“Pollok Swimming pool is almost as a great day on the beach, wave n flume, n swimming area, my grandsons gaining fun confidence, staff are kind too. Roll on the school summer holidays, cheers.”
“This is not the fanciest gym you’ve ever been too and yes some of the equipment is a bit tired but the staff are brilliant and welcoming. Just remember, fancy machines don’t get you into shape.... it’s all up to the individual, this gym has everything one needs to succeed and I look forward to my gym sessions here. Well done staff, you are a great team.”
“Great pool. Very clean and well maintained.”
“Safe from beginning to end. Our NHS heroes do their best to make you feel safe, and they succeed. A note: They give you the ‘Read this before you take the vaccine’ notification *after* you’ve received it, but they do ask you questions to assure safety before you get the jab.”
“The gyms real nice but on the small side but really good”
“Making waves is fantastic! Our daughter started when she was 3 and a half, was there for 12 months and absolutely loved it. She can be shy and self conscious however every single member of staff were so lovely and caring with her. They were patient, encouraging and most importantly you can tell they care, which is all you want! To be clear, judging by other reviews, she was a little upset to begin with however the staff set our expectations and that lasted for 3 lessons, we trusted their judgement and experience and our girl is proving herself now to be a very strong and confident swimmer! Thanks guys!”
“You wouldn’t think this was a council pool (no offence) it can be cold at times but… The warm welcome from Stuart on reception makes my day. It just shines positivity and lovely welcome. The changing village is immaculate it’s cleaner than some higher chain private places in my opinion. The pool itself is 20 meters and I have multiple disabilities. This is where I feel safe I love water but the pool side staff are extra vigilant in safety. Particularly Steven, Claire, Becca and Jack. When aqua aerobics are on I’ve overheard them radio to keep on those that may be struggling. They ensure the safety of everybody in the pool is of importance. The above staff Abby, guy with cool tattoos (Gerry) and younger girl are also so kind and supportive. They are not just life guards they are approachable friendly staff that make sure your well-being is first and foremost. Steven, Becca and Jack are very educated in hidden disabilities and wish there were more people like them in the world. As I am quite anxious I couldn’t feel more relaxed and safe than at easterhouse pool. The tiles are free of grime unlike other glasgow life pools and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful facility on my doorstep. Just to add Ian the manager who also has cool tattoo's is a very considerate caring person thank you so much. My only thing is I wish they were open weekends and mornings as I swim most days I dread having to go to other pools. Highly recommended!”
“I’ve just joined and I love it - great cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. It’s very clean, modern, and has a nice view.”
“Clean luxurious warm and welcoming. Top notch free weights and other equipment with plenty of space and variety. Highly recommended for training and then relaxing in the sauna steam room and pool.”
“Good pool to send your kids for them swimming classes. Teachers are pretty great with the kids ,teaching them and disciplining them in the pools.Trust me they are very patient. And the lifeguards are constantly on the foot ,walking around the pools ,monitoring each pool and the kids/adults in the waters. Gives you the sense of complete safety. Parents waiting area is not very spacious but it's good enough. Well maintained and clean pool area Staffs are quite friendly and ready to offer any help when needed”
“Good 25 m pool and it’s never really busy in the lane swimming so it is perfect for getting your lengths in.”
