The lake is simply beautiful; always a sheer joy to swim there in nature. I don’t often sauna but when I have it’s been bliss! Can’t recommend this gorgeous venue and team enough.”

“We ordered our Hotspring Spa after an ad-hoc visit to their showroom in May 2021. Jacqui was great and very helpful, answering our many questions with a friendly smile. She even let us come back for a "wet test" after we had placed our order. Unfortunately, it took 9 months for delivery, due to many different things but Jacqui and her team kept us up to date at all times, they even tried to see if they could get another order diverted to us and offered for us to have the display spa that was in their store instead, however we wanted the spa that we had ordered. Finally, the spa was delivered on 2 February 2022! The installation was very quick and easy, thankfully we didn't have to go for the expense of a crane and the tub was positioned into place with ease by the installation team. The installation team were brilliant! You would not have know they had been in our garden, they left it so tidy. We patiently waited for the spa to get to the appropriate temperature and enjoyed our first soak. We've used it regularly since and keeping on top of the maintenance is simple. This really is a life changer, if we're stressed or aching 30 minutes in the hot tub gets rid of it all and we've not slept so well in ages. I highly recommend getting a Hotspring Spa Hot Tub from Jacqui and her team in Derby.”

“Fantastic family holiday resort. You can swim all day and go on the water rides, rapids and pool. Wave machine is fun but doesnt always happen on time, depends on lifeguards. Beautiful forest and walk ways to explore on foot or bike. Peaceful lakes ...some lodges back onto lakes and you can watch the wildlife from the sofa. The animals are very brave as used to humans and often the geese will knock on the patio doors wanting a snack! Accommodation is clean and well designed. They are warm in colder weather. Can have a log fire which is lovely, can buy logs from shop. The activities are plentiful but some are pricey. Not much choice of craft activities for over 9 year olds...Need to book in advance to get time slots you want. Staff on site are friendly and courteous, and are happy to help. Restaurant staff are very nice and do everything they can to make it a good experience. Some building work is still going on at Sherwood...so some areas cordoned off still. The xmas area is looking lovely though. There is something for everyone here....you certainly get a good physical workout if you want it. Only one moan ....Busy on change over days and got a bit crazy due to overcrowding on water rapids. Some younger life guards could be benefit from controlling numbers a bit more and the youngsters who behave dangerously....so that it is a good experience for all. Need to accompany younger children. Overall great holiday and would definitely come back.”

“Brilliant swimming pool and best thing of all, it's free! You can spend all day here, they have cabanas to hire, but not worth it. Just grab some seats and set up an area for you and the family. The lifeguards are friendly and helpful, they even moved a baby cot from one side of the pool for us. The new ride is amazing too!”

“Mo's physio has helped me with the pains in my lower back and my knees, with treatment at the Lenton Centre and exercises to do at home. I noticed an improvement in my back quite quickly; the knees are taking longer. Mo gives a welcoming reception with supportive advice and the charges are very reasonable. I also swim at TLC and really value this local community asset.”

“A great gym with great facilities and staff. Particularly James Foulk one of the tennis coaches who has helped me with my game. He's a lovely chap who you can have a laugh with but also knows when to be serious and is a good coach. I've learnt a lot and look forward to continuing my lessons with him. - David Lloyd Aspley.”

“Speaking with very helpful lady (Katie) on the phone through all of the options that were available to me she left me a guest day pass behind the counter yesterday, I popped along and met Rosie who showed me around the gym, pool and other facilities which was great! I am now a member and very happy to join. Part of me joining was down to very helpful staff and customer service which is a big part of it for me. Thank you again Rosie and Katie”

“Just like clock work The hole was dug, the pool arrived and was fitted in a day. The dome arrived and again fitted in a day A little bit of work from our tilers to finish the surround and help from the solar panels we have the pool open from April to December It’s fabulous in the summer days and magical with the lights on in the winter nights. Good for exercise and a tonic for the sole Our thanks to Marek who is always available for any questions. Best money we ever spent”

“I would highly recommend East Midlands Swim Academy, my daughter has been swimming with them for 3 years and has shown fantastic progress. All of the teachers are friendly and professional, and with relatively small group sizes are really able to focus on each child and adapt to their individual needs. What really stands out for me is it’s not just about how far you can swim, but more the technique that is used. The pools are very well maintained and extremely clean.”

“Monika is an amazing swim teacher, she has really helped my children with their confidence. She also deals really well with my autistic child and never forces her to do anything, she’s always switching up what she is doing to make my child feel comfortable, and also recognises when she has had enough.”

“Deborah has been amazing with me during my swimming lessons. She took her time in teaching me every move. She listened to my concerns and fears and helped me overcome them. “After lessons at David Lloyd and Leander and a brief move away from Nottingham, i returned to join RSC on recommendation from friends. I found more than a swim club. I found a whole community support network, lifelong friends, enough sessions to keep me and girls swimming, and a group of people who light up my week every Saturday morning. I have been volunteering as a teacher since 2018 and I haven't looked back.”

“I use the pool at least once a week, and it is always busy. You either need to book in advance or get lucky with a quieter session. The changing facilities are unisex, with separate cubicles to change in. You can either get a locker using change or park your bag by the pool. The viewing area is good if you have kids swimming or you are waiting to swim.”

“Paige was such a great help yesterday, we had troubles with our QR code to get into the changing rooms and we were almost late for our lesson, instead of not letting us through and making us late, she checked the register for our son, let us through, then came to the viewing area and helped about 10 customers including myself get the QR code on our phones, she was absolutely brilliant. We’ve struggled with the code in the past, but was only given a sheet of paper with confusing instructions from a different woman that works there, she made what could have been a stressful situation for many of us a breeze, we had our QR codes in minutes and now don’t have to worry about getting through the doors. Massive well done to Paige, she was non-stop yesterday helping us all, and has been nothing but kind, welcoming and helpful for the last 3 years we’ve been coming to your swimming centre! Despite the massive turnaround of staff, it’s nice to see that she’s still here working hard. If anybody’s struggling with anything or needs help, I recommend to ask for Paige, as through the years I’ve had all my problems fixed on the same day with her, while others I either haven’t heard back, or they haven’t been fixed at all due to lack of knowledge or experience.”

“I hadn’t been to a gym in years and was a bit worried about going again and not knowing what I was doing. The staff here have all been lovely and incredibly helpful and kind. Kyle took the time to show me how everything worked and set up an app for me to help me plan my workouts during my free new member activation. There are videos to show you how to use the machines correctly if you forget. The app also shows you how many machines are free so you can kind of see how busy it is before you head there. I can’t recommend this place enough. You really do get a lot for your membership fee. The free one day pass is really helpful if you want to just have a look and see what it’s like before committing to a membership, too. Just wish they were open a bit later at the weekend but I understand that people need a break sometimes and the weekend is a good time for the staff to finish earlier.”

“I cannot recommend Avice Swim school enough. My 8yr old son was not only nervous, but had a genuine fear of swimming pools due to prior bad experiences as a toddler. In less than a year, Avice have taken him from shaking by the pool side, to actually diving in at the deep end!! The groups are small, so the children get more attention, which enables them to pick up techniques quickly. It also allows them to build rapport with the children, which I think is what has helped my sons confidence. I never thought I’d see the day where my boy would get into a pool, never mind be able to swim. So Thankyou Avice, from Zains proud mum :)”
