“Lots of work has gone into this thanks to Notts County and it's made it a great community space to be in. Great squash courts, gym equipment and sports hall space. All pretty reasonably priced and pretty good parking.”

“Genuinely an amazing leisure centre, hassle free swimming lessons for kids, i cant believe how my daughter had her first swimming class and didnt know how to swim at 5 years old, we tried as parents to teach her how to swim and she was always so nervous and afraid, in her first swimming session with HENRY she swam on her back! I couldn’t believe how he managed to get a very anxious little girl from swimming to get all that confident to swim unaided on the same session, she had another session the following week and swam again on her back unaided. He’s attentive and gives every child their focused time. My daughter was struggling with her goggles he even picked up on that and took them off and gave them a wipe and carried on. After her first session he came over to have a chat and gave lara the biggest words of encouragement for learning how to swim so quick. She came back home and would not stop talking about her achievements and couldn’t wait to come back. I would honestly recommend this swimming center for any parents, no frills, you’re in and out quickly, they learn so much in a short space of time, i hope this gets passed on to henry, he deserves some sort of recognition for being an incredible teacher, i’ve seen swim coaches in the past whilst i’ve been swimming myself and yet to see someone with that level of attentiveness, assertiveness that children need to focus on their swimming and encouragement they need to thrive in. Thank you for teaching my daughter how to swim on her back in the shortest time and getting her our of her shell!”
“Been coming here for 4 years. I've now built up to 6 classes a week. At 80 years old I've never felt as fit”
“This is my happy place...my safe place. Its not just about exercising and keeping fit in the amazing gym for someone who lives alone and is of mature years its about support friendship and caring for each other. They have an amazing team of staff who have had my back all through the difficult times and have been there for me, if only for a chat and a hug, believe me it makes the world of difference. It is so good for your mental health too. It is a pleasure to be a member here . The staff work hard and have kept us safe all through the pandemic and everywhere is kept clean. Thank you all so much.”
“Been coming to this particular facility for the last 3 - 4 years to use the gym, the choice of equipment is good; from machines to free weights, also some more functional training equipment in the DOSE studio. The equipment in the cardio studio upstairs is a little bit dated, however it's usually pretty easy to get on to whatever you need. People are generally friendly and helpful, and there are a good few regulars that use the gym at the times I'm there (mornings), so it kind of makes it a social experience. It can get a little busy at certain times, for example when the physios are there on Fridays.”
“Fun swimming at a good price, and fantastic little cafe at the entrance. Also decent selection of swimsuits and goggles to buy etc free parking and reasonable changing rooms”
“They have good homemade food here mixed with pub grub I recommend their pie and an under 5s free kids play room full of toys, it's quiet and free it's done me the world of good with my son as we struggle at soft plays, we come every week for lunch now and he loves it xx”
“Broxtowe Springs is a ritual stop—always bring my dogs here for a drink break mid-walk. It’s reliable, refreshing, and part of our loop. The surrounding terrain of Broxtowe Country Park is my go-to haven, whether it’s blazing sun or thick snow. It holds space year-round, offering quiet, movement, and a sense of grounded continuity. The park’s layout is open yet intimate—plenty of room to roam, reflect, and reset. It’s not just a walk; it’s a transmission. Every visit becomes part of the archive, logged in paw prints and presence. If you’re looking for a space that respects rhythm and welcomes return, Broxtowe delivers.”
“George and the team are simply the best ! S & G only sell the best and you can be assured it’s installed professionally and it will exceed your expectations. Very highly recommended”
“My 4 year old daughter started at Core Aquatics last year, she had been with another swim school since she was a baby but seemed to stuck in a rut there and she started to develop a fear of the water. Changing to Core Aquatics was definitely the best decision we made. She has come on quickly and now loves swimming and looks forward to her class each week. All the teachers are amazing, they are encouraging and definitely make the kids feel safe and confident in the water. I thoroughly recommend them.”
