Genuinely an amazing leisure centre, hassle free swimming lessons for kids, i cant believe how my daughter had her first swimming class and didnt know how to swim at 5 years old, we tried as parents to teach her how to swim and she was always so nervous and afraid, in her first swimming session with HENRY she swam on her back! I couldn’t believe how he managed to get a very anxious little girl from swimming to get all that confident to swim unaided on the same session, she had another session the following week and swam again on her back unaided. He’s attentive and gives every child their focused time. My daughter was struggling with her goggles he even picked up on that and took them off and gave them a wipe and carried on. After her first session he came over to have a chat and gave lara the biggest words of encouragement for learning how to swim so quick. She came back home and would not stop talking about her achievements and couldn’t wait to come back. I would honestly recommend this swimming center for any parents, no frills, you’re in and out quickly, they learn so much in a short space of time, i hope this gets passed on to henry, he deserves some sort of recognition for being an incredible teacher, i’ve seen swim coaches in the past whilst i’ve been swimming myself and yet to see someone with that level of attentiveness, assertiveness that children need to focus on their swimming and encouragement they need to thrive in. Thank you for teaching my daughter how to swim on her back in the shortest time and getting her our of her shell!

I was sent by my gp for pool therapy but you can never get into use the pool when you need to the times for us adults to use it is very little to choose from. If we could have more hours to choose from when we can go it would help so much.

Appalling tried to move the date for our swimming as our little one is sick and they would not allow it. Lost all the money we paid . Feeling very ripped off

Used for toddler swimming. Reasonable setup bit needs more baby changing rooms. Pool is good temp for little ones and plenty of water toys. Now junior swimming update- still good but needs a bit of a more regular clean. Seems to be less than they used too in between sessions.

Nice little theatre. We went to see 'we three Kings' (Buddy Holly,Roy Orbison and Elvis) which is a great show. Drinks are reasonably priced, bottled beers, and staff are friendly. Only grumble is, if you're not sure where you're going, the venue frontage and carpark are poorly lit. I'm a first time visitor and overshot the venue.

The Leisure Centre is a good local facility, but the car park is in a shocking state, full of pot holes. As for the parking meters, they work fine for a free ticket, but when it comes to paying for the full day for £3 (a reasonable sum) the machine in the centre of the car park on the right, took £3 and gave a ticket for just £1. This was in February 2023. This inevitably meant we received a parking fine; which we challenged on the day, but we didn't receive a reply. We did however, receive a greater fine which was posted to us on in March. So, not only did Gedling Borough Council fail to fix the machine or act on our original concerns, they have sent us a bigger fine. So, it's looks as though we will have to take a day off work to make our representations in court for which we will seek costs and of course quashing of the original fixed penalty.

I am sorry for giving one star but my experience with swimming lessons isn't good. One of my kids hasn't been assessed for 8 weeks, he is gone up 3% in 3 months?. I keep bringing this up to the manager but nothing really seems to be done. My daughter is also in a similar situation

Really friendly and helpful staff who helped sort an issue with my account without any fuss. Good changing facilities and clean pool.

7 year old Grandson has been having lessons here, good teaching. Floor of changing rooms are never cleaned between 4pm and 7pm when heavy traffic of people and when the kids have lessons. Despite this, assured there is no staff shortage. Dodging clumps of hair turns my stomach. Taken this up with centre manager. He's sorry the changing rooms "are not to my liking". I'm not talking about the colour of the walls for goodness sake. Also parents/carers with mobile phones poolside and in the changing rooms. Not enforcing safeguarding for your children!

Most staff are very nice. My children's swimming teachers are very patient with the children and the children actually enjoy swimming lessons. My only problem is the bald swimming teacher who sometimes covers the class. My little girl is just starting to build her confidence in the pool but she cries everything he teaches the class. She is now anxious about going for swimming lessons. Children learn at different rates and I know my child struggles but at least she enjoys the lessons until this teacher shows up.
