“Found this cafe by mistake as we took a shortcut to the carpark. Their ham and cheese toasties are exceptional. My friend had their soup which she said was delicious. Before we leave my friend always ends up getting a muffin to take home. There is like an honesty box that you can put in whatever you want. When given a tip it was put into the honesty box. The staff are so friendly. Would not go anywhere else when we go there.”
“A lovely little place, whether you want breakfast, a coffee or a dinner, you won't be disappointed. I've been a few times now after first trying their food at a weekend at Dolly's Farm and each time has been a great experience. The staff are pleasant and friendly The café is spacious and cozy, great selection of foods and drinks. All food is delicious, generous portions and well priced. I cannot fault anything and look forward to my next visit.”
“The staff are always so lovely and helpful. Some of the best burritos in Ireland and the decor is perfect, cosy and fun”
“Hands down the best coffee shop in Newcastle and easily in my top 3 coffee shops in the whole of Northern Ireland. I'm an absolute addict when it comes to their Protein Oats, in which I have probably spent enough money on them to fund a small country like Bosnia. (I have probably bought around 20-25 bowls of it since September 2024). The atmosphere is great with a city/hipster vibe, perfect for meeting with friends/family, working or reading. The staff are fantastic too and are very helpful and kind. All in all, this is a spot you must not skip over!”
“No surprise this place has won multiple Taste of Ulster awards. Went for breakfast and man alive the quality and taste was superb. The service and attention to detail first class.”
“This is a really good place for brunch in Newcastle. Portions are generous and food is amazing. To top it all, they make fantastic coffee too. The best place for lunch in Newcastle!”
“Very tasty food. Reasonable price. Friendly helpful service. Nice decor.”
“Excellent small and friendly cafe. Fires always lit in colder months which is great! Awesome selection of high quality food and drinks available.”
“Great service, delicious food and very good coffee and all reasonably priced. I've tried multiple different dishes on the menu and they have all been wonderful with generous servings”
“Nice place for hot chocolate and some chips. WiFi available from somewhere close.”
“Lovely little spot for breakfast or lunch. I tried one of the savoury crepes and it was great! Lots of cheese, nicely balanced ingredients, nice texture and colour of the crepe and a very big feed. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back to try some other things :)”
“This is the best cafe in Newcastle! Food is delicious, in all the years I've been visiting I've never had a bad meal. I can especially recommend the French Toast Stack or the Full Fry. Their sandwiches and toasties are really fantastic and they do an excellent Cappuccino too. It's always busy, which is a great sign for how popular it is!! Worth waiting for a table!”
“First time visiting this quirky/ cool place and it will be the first of many! Best fry I’ve had in years, no grease, quality products and I am extremely hard to please with food. Not one fault at all. Lovely coffee too. Excited to return soon”
“I dined at the Homeland on 2 October 2024. I was greeted with a smiling face. I had the Slimmer and it was delicious. I'm so glad I stopped. Do yourself a favor and dine here.”
“All round a fabulous place. We had it all there. From mornings just for fresh scone and excellent coffee, a treat trip with young ones for a great selection of traybakes and other sweets. Midweek lunch dates with their specials menu that include excellent salads or hearty stews/soups and sandwiches. We love coming and so will you. Service is always excellent and so is the buzzing atmosphere.”
“If you want a friendly place to get a good feed, you couldn’t do much better. We use this wonderful spot as a place to meet for a coffee before kayaking the coastline. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is lovely and the food ie hearty and delicious.”
“Fantastic wee spot. Great food, mighty craic, friendly staff, 5 ⭐️”
“First visit to this café upon a brief stop in Newry. Great experience, with lots of choice and delicious results and now in my top 2 of favourite boba cafés I've tried. The staff provided a warm welcome to this cosy and relaxed spot. It was notable to see staff treat a large group of young people with equal warmth, respect and patience upon taking their time to order. This is how it should be done and I look forward to visiting again, thank you!”
“Great food and really friendly staff. The menu meant the most difficult part of my visit was deciding what to eat. Order by phone no waiting in and out in a flash, when you only get 1/2 hrs for lunch every minute counts. Cheers Sean and team”
“Lovely for a breakfast. would definitely use again. Lady serving was really friendly too. Great service”
“What a lovely place the Liberty Cafe is! The staff here were so warm and friendly (much like everyone in Carlingford seemed to be during our stay) and the food and coffee were great. A great place to have a sit and watch the world go by. Margo had quiche- great value, the portion was massive, and delicious.”
“Great atmosphere, reasonably priced.”
“Friendly staff, food fresh and tasty. Clean and pleasant cafe.”
“Great chip shop. Big portions all freshly made. Downside......cash only and minute portion of curry sauce.”
“I tried the loaded wedges which were very good. Followed by a decaf latte and carrot cake. Divine.”
“Favourite cafe in Downpatrick. Stunning views also.”
“Disappointed to read some of the reviews for the Broadway. Myself, my wife and our two girls ate there yesterday. Nothing fancy. No Michelin stars. Just very good suitable menu for a seaside diner. Staff were all young ,nice and pleasant. Food was nice. Priced appropriately. But as a dining experience it has something that you can't reproduce easily. It's a fifty year old business that has authentic history and nostalgia. We ate there some years ago and it was nice to be there again. And I hope to be there again some time soon. I know how much hard work goes into running a food business. Most people haven't a clue how much effort goes into their plate. Anyway, I love the place and I'm thankful to the owners and staff.”
“I recently visited Leafy Greens and had an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. If you're looking for flavorful, fresh vegetarian food served with genuine warmth, this is your place. We ordered a salad and a dessert, and both were spectacular. The salad was truly delicious—far from basic, featuring vibrant, fresh ingredients that were perfectly balanced. But the real star, flavor-wise, was the presentation and taste of the meal as a whole. Everything was plated beautifully, looking like a work of art, and the flavors were excellent—a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality. The dessert was the perfect, indulgent finish. Beyond the incredible food, the staff was super friendly and attentive. We felt genuinely welcomed the moment we walked in. Best of all, the food was served incredibly quickly, despite the high quality and detailed presentation. It's rare to find a place that excels in every area—food quality, presentation, speed, and service—but [Restaurant Name] nails it. Highly, highly recommended for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!”
“I love this place. Looking for vegan snacks in the area, and I found Harry's Place. Not only is the food excellent, but it also supports a very worthy cause. Will definitely come back .”
