“All round a fabulous place. We had it all there. From mornings just for fresh scone and excellent coffee, a treat trip with young ones for a great selection of traybakes and other sweets. Midweek lunch dates with their specials menu that include excellent salads or hearty stews/soups and sandwiches. We love coming and so will you. Service is always excellent and so is the buzzing atmosphere.”

“If you want a friendly place to get a good feed, you couldn’t do much better. We use this wonderful spot as a place to meet for a coffee before kayaking the coastline. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is lovely and the food ie hearty and delicious.”

“Great chippy fish and chips, chips were fresh, thick and crispy. Fish was haddock which was flaky and tender, really nice and not greasy, batter was also crispy and thin, if fish isn't your thing, their christmas menu looked great”

“Recommend by socials and it wasn't a let dwn! Staff were very pleasant and helpful, brilliant service, it was raining so they brought the food to my car after ordering. There is also a wee adjoining eating out area. I had the wackoz burger, and it was juicy, well dressed, and tasted amazing, alongside the parmesan chips, which were beautiful! A very good price for wht they served, well worth the drive.”

“We visited Fodder today and decided to have some Festive Fayre from their menu. We sat outside as we had 2 large dogs and quick as lightning a member of staff dried the picnic table and seats. Not only that, a beautiful deer hide rug was produced as well to sit on. An absolute delight sitting in the sun surrounded by twinkling Christmas Trees. The food which arrived promptly was absolutely delish. I had beef brisket with slaw and crispy onions served in a brioche bap, my other half had the Christmas burger which he declared very tasty. A great Christmas 'picnic', thoroughly enjoyed.”

“The gardens and butterfly house are well worth looking at. The house isn't very big, but there's plenty to see. We brought a picnic and supplemented it with tea coffee from the cafe. Sat at the picnic tables amongst the many peacocks and enjoyed the sun. Gardens and maze are beautiful.”

“I have fairly low expectations of coffee shops at public attractions/gardens but I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The flat white pulled using groupwork coffee from castlewellan was fantastic and would rival any of the hipster outlets in Belfast. Really nice traybakes and friendly staff.”

“Fantastic coffee but strange opening hours. Listed on the front of the hut that it's sometimes open on days other than Saturday and Sunday. We were able to get a coffee on Tuesday evening but not Wednesday evening. Friendly staff and great coffee at a reasonable cost in a beautiful location mean it's a great place for me. Didn't try the food. Highly recommended!”

“A lovely little place, whether you want breakfast, a coffee or a dinner, you won't be disappointed. I've been a few times now after first trying their food at a weekend at Dolly's Farm and each time has been a great experience. The staff are pleasant and friendly The café is spacious and cozy, great selection of foods and drinks. All food is delicious, generous portions and well priced. I cannot fault anything and look forward to my next visit.”
