   Great chippy fish and chips, chips were fresh, thick and crispy. Fish was haddock which was flaky and tender, really nice and not greasy, batter was also crispy and thin, if fish isn't your thing, their christmas menu looked great

   Shockingly bad food. How does a chip shop do chips so badly? Stinking! Meat pastie was a burger in batter, running with grease. Overall just terrible - first time ive used this place in years and it'll be a very long time before I return.

   The pastie was massive. The curry sauce first class. As for the chips i had to offer most of my 'regular' serve to some lovely kids from one of the local schools. Great feed after a walk round the town and Cathedral.

   Boggin fish supper paid £11:40 the fish is a pollock out of Iceland 6 for 3 or 4 quid obsoletey migging dry as a bone bones in fish cooked blood and thin it’s definitely not a fish shop fish it was a pollock from Iceland I’ll never go back to docs nearly being sick here and I only took one bite it’s in the recycle bin I’m not even giving it to the dog. It’s that ruff.

   Unable to get an order correct. Food is thrown together and of poor quality. The container for the curry had spilled over everything else as it wasn’t closed correctly. Chips tasted stale and not cooked properly, and the fish is rotten. Chicken is rubbery, and you only get a few pieces. Overpriced for what it is. They need to pay attention to what they’re doing instead of messing about, maybe they’d get orders right then. No onions, then they had tons of onions. Charged 50p for a bit of cheese we didn’t even ask for!! Baps were stale and the burgers were tasteless. Absolutely disgusting. Manager couldn’t have cared less when we rang him.

   Take away cheese burger came with only bun, burger and cheese. No onion, indeed no salad of any kind, nor pickles. I had to ask for sauce. I won’t be back.

   Fish was ok chips were basically raw. I ordered a meat pastor burger and was given a homemade pastie burger which was raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. Was sadly disappointed.

   Chips tasted like they had been heated up, chicken burger rubbery and scampi overcooked. Everything had been either heated up or over cooked. Docs used to be good. Won't be back for a long time

   My wife and I were foreign nurses who arrived in Downpatrick in 2007 and worked for two years there. We always eat fish and chips every week in that place. After three years we moved to England, and a couple of years on we migrated here to the USA. Until now, with so many fish and chips shops we went to in UK and US, we still think that the Docs of Downpatrick are still the best we ever had.
