“Fantastic coffee but strange opening hours. Listed on the front of the hut that it's sometimes open on days other than Saturday and Sunday. We were able to get a coffee on Tuesday evening but not Wednesday evening. Friendly staff and great coffee at a reasonable cost in a beautiful location mean it's a great place for me. Didn't try the food. Highly recommended!”

“All round a fabulous place. We had it all there. From mornings just for fresh scone and excellent coffee, a treat trip with young ones for a great selection of traybakes and other sweets. Midweek lunch dates with their specials menu that include excellent salads or hearty stews/soups and sandwiches. We love coming and so will you. Service is always excellent and so is the buzzing atmosphere.”

“Loved this tea room in the estate, very dog friendly, allowing us to sit in as weather was poor, well laid out with plenty of dog bowls in the yard area, well done national trust castle ward, shame other properties can't follow this great example of how to be dog friendly.”
