“One of my favourite coffee shops in Glasgow. Always a warm and friendly service, always great food on offer. Kaf have had some excellent products over the years (the cinnamon buns, the breakfast bodegas, the ice cream, the muffuletta), they consistently come up with new, tasty and exciting things to try alongside solid staple offerings. I miss being able to pop down to them regularly! A real gem in the coffee scene.”

“Connected to eighty-eight, this is a fabulous coffee shop with a good seating area at the back of the shop as well as having some outside seating on nice days. My empty cup should be a testament to how delicious the drinks are in here. The earl grey tea here was obviously not made in house but was well priced and delicious. If you are in for a hot drink the coffee here is excellent, so excellent I’ve always finished it without taking a picture! There are plenty of savoury and sweet treats awaiting your arrival complimenting the wide variety of speciality beans. Heavily recommend this spot for a relaxing weekend or a quick pitstop during lunch. Also really friendly and helpful staff, thanks so much!!”

Beautifully presented environment, every detail has been clearly thought-out, and the focus on coffee selection and preparation is perfect. Great range of sweet treats, plus the added perk of a Lotus biscuit with each coffee. Lovely and knowledgable staff, great vibe, and so much natural light. Love it, love it, love it.”

“Went here for breakfast and it was delicious. Really busy and we were lucky to get the last table and it was only a Tuesday morning. Lovely decor and friendly staff. We had the steak stack. Large portion and great value for money. Can’t wait to go back as there are so many different things to try on the menu that are quite different to some other cafes.”

“Lovely little café — we got a seat straight away, and there was a great choice of food. Our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. The café has such an interesting history — it was once owned by Darnley, Mary Queen of Scots’ husband, and has even been a brothel and a tourist shop at one point! It’s full of character and perfectly located near both the castle and the monument. Staff were lovely and helpful too!”

The rooms are spacious and decorated in theme with the architectural style of the building. The included breakfast is cooked-to-order and was a delicious way to start the day. The hotel is tucked just outside of downtown Glasgow, offering a quiet retreat while visiting the city.”
