“Never ordered any food so I can't comment. We were there for a night out, drinks and chat. Great bar, great music, great staff. There are also tables outside, which is nice when it's sunny in Glasgow”

“We had our first visit here last evening and have to say if we stayed in Glasgow we would be here all of the time. I had put in a request for a quieter area if possible due to our daughter struggling with busy areas. They went above and beyond making sure she was comfortable and it made her evening to feel so special. The food was 10 out of 10 for all meals, the kids came out as soon as it was ready. Really the best evening.”

“Exactly what you want in a traditional Glaswegian bar. It's just a shame that the trendy clientele have taken it over. Loved going in here and seeing the old folk up dancing and having a good laugh.”

“Always a fantastic steak experience. Tried the Wagyu Ribeye at this visit, (Nov 2025), which was excellent. While the service has always been great at each visit in the past, we found this visit to be exceptional. “We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Castle. It has a "Highland Castle" feeling inside and outside, despite being 10 mins from city centre! The Christmas and overall decor were very cosy, and the service was excellent too!”

“Had a birthday lunch today in the bar area. We took our wee dog with us and he was given his bowl of water immediately. The wine was lovely, service was 1st class and the club sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Will definitely be coming back.”

“This was our second time having bucks bar and we love it. We had gotten takeaway as we weren’t staying to far and the food was still hot and great. The portions are huge and we couldn’t even finish the fries. Absolutely worth the money. I had gotten a Nutella milkshake (delish) and my partner had gotten the bourbon cream shake, very boozy but exactly what he wanted. We absolutely love the food here, so good!”
