I wish my rating for this restaurant was higher, given the beautiful ambience and incredible view of the our gallery. My first experience was disappointing, and this is what this review was written upon. First, the service. I came in around 7pm on a Tuesday, not busy, maybe three tables of couples. After I was seated, I was ignored for 15-20 minutes, no menu, no water, until I had to get up to ask for the menu. Waiters walked around, but no one paid attention. Rather odd for a nice restaurant like this. Second, the food. For entree, I ordered the halibut. About an hour later, the dish came - it was so salty and the fish was terribly dry. For £37 I expected better. Third, the service, again. Seeing how salty the fish was, I added broccoli as a side. The waiter kindly said it’d be complementary because of the long wait for the fish. However, when the bill came, the broccoli was still included in the price. After 2.5 hours from the time I sat down to the time the bill came, I was too exhausted to even say anything and couldn’t wait to leave. For better value, I would recommend the Ivy restaurant next door, or the Spanish Butcher couple blocks away, both have exceptional food and services.

If I could I would give it 4.5 stars as the service was quite slow. Well actually not the service but the time it took to get the food out. The food was all tremendous though and good portions. Rabbit starter was quite meaty while the venison main was cooked very well. Although not very well, pink to be clear. Apple dessert was one of the best I have had in a long time. Food was priced accordingly. Will be back.

Atmosphere and service was top notch. Our beef was a little chewy, I managed to eat mine but my partner sent hers back and got the chicken instead. Staff were great and offered a free drink for the inconvenience. Quite pricey, but lovely place. Starters were really good!

Was meeting up with a group of friends we hadn't seen for a while. Drinks were amazing, food was amazing, staff were really lovely and friendly! Would really recommend this place. Can't wait to visit again!

My wife and I LOVED Glaschu! The whole experience was really nice. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the staff, Jasmine & David, were especially wonderful! Jasmine served us and we had a great time chatting with her about Scotland and our trip. They were helpful and professional! We had a great meal and a great bottle of wine. I’d highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a more private dining experience or date night. It’s quiet and lovely.

Quirky combinations on the menu. Expensive. Beef wellington takes a while to prepare but if you order it Medium it's worth the wait. Venison ordered 'pink' and it was lovely. Brown crab arancini tasted more like a potato croquette. Olives were dusted with salt flakes and they were delicious! Service was slow to start, we arrived on time but were told to sit in the bar. Waited 15 minutes for our table and no-one came to take our drinks order. First course arrived and we weren't given plates however one of the girls noticed and got them for us quickly. From then on the service picked up. Toilets were a disappointment... Cabinet doors hanging off, toilet seats hanging off. Definitely needs an uplift. Overall a calm atmosphere with lovely food however very expensive.

My first meal in Scotland and I was lucky. My wife suggested this restaurant and we were intrigued by the Beef Wellington. Since it takes about an hour to prepare, we went with the baked warm blue cheesecake. It is hard to describe as it was a whole story of flavors. This already gave us a hint of what to expect. The beef was big, it was tender, and it was excellent. We skipped dessert because we were full and didn't want to overeat after eating something so delicious.

We had an excellent beef wellington here! It takes quite a while and is really huge! The restaurant is on the first floor and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is very nice!

One of the best meal we had in UK. We dined during one of the quieter evening which we enjoyed very much. Staff was attentive. Food was outstanding especially the lamb which was packed with umami.

This place is located at the level 1 of the building - I almost skipped through because it looked like it was close from the outside. Glad I managed to ring the bell and got inside. Probably the best beef wellington I have ever had. The soup of the day and the fillet sea bass was fantastic too. Unfortunately, dessert was not as exceptional. Service was top notch. It is pricey but I bet you can expect that from such a central, ideal location. Would recommend if you are planning for a proper restaurant experience while in town.
