   Don’t know what’s happened to the bar Vini of old but it has really gone down hill fast!! Used to love coming here for a big plate of pasta and some lovely cocktails and wine but I won’t be back. Service was unfriendly and slow. Food was bland and cocktails tasted watered down. Owners need to have a look at the changes they’ve made over the last year or so. Used to feel like a proper family owned trattoria but now just feels like any other boring italian restaurant.

   I don’t know what has happened here but I believe there are new owners. This used to be a favourite place of ours but the lovely friendly staff have gone to be replaced by monosyllabic unhelpful ones. The pasta and wine deal on a Wednesday is totally misleading as it doesn’t apply to the whole menu and there is no flexibility- if you have a dietary requirement you basically have to pay full price. The music has been ramped up so loud that it’s impossible to chat. We were regulars but left without eating due to the appalling attitude of the staff. If anyone knows where the lovely people who used to work there are now let me know and I’ll go and eat there instead.

   A charming little restaurant with delicious food! I had the Pollo Milanese, which was a hearty portion at a great price. The Tiramisu is a must-try! The service was also excellent, making for a very enjoyable experience overall.

   The food, cocktails, service and atmosphere are all top tier. If you’ve never been, definitely go here. The only downside is that the menu is small and hadn’t changed in the half a dozen times we’ve been. We would love to see what else the chefs here could do.

   Excellent Italian in Glasgow. Beats a lot of place in London I’ve been to. Service was friendly and attentive with water consistently topped up. As someone else has said, the pasta portions are large so you could share one between two. More value for money! Definitely go here, you wouldn’t be disappointed. Thought I was in Italy for a minute, until we left and it was raining - course, it’s Scotland!

   Just this morning I was saying the last few Italians I had eaten at were lacking in atmosphere and depth of flavour while also having poor lighting strangely. Bar Vini does all three of those things perfectly. Such a great atmosphere even though it was quiet. The lighting was perfect and I couldn't ask for more from the service. A beautiful interior making great use of the space. Everything they were going for is just bang on. The food was excellent. Large portions of great tasting well prepared food. Not much else I can say. I had the beef shin as recommended by the nice guy at the bar with the fedora. A special mention to the fedora man too who did a lovely job recommending food and drink. I will be back and I'll be telling others to visit soon too!

   Food was sublime. Portions if anything were too big. Could be a few more options on the menu in terms of mains, but everything else was superb. Cocktails and the barmen were 10/10. Serving the cocktails with some napkins at the bar would be a nice touch *sticky tables*

   We ordered some dinner and cocktails on Saturday night. What a treat! The food was so tasty (especially the carbonara pizza) and the cocktails were delicious. The service was great from ordering to collecting - highly recommend! We'll definitely order again.
