I love this Italian family run restaurant. The staff are so friendly and the food is so good. I’ve tried the pasta and pizza and it’s always so hard to pick which one to go for! The ingredients are always fresh. The pizza is crispy too and they you can also customise your toppings. My fiancé and I have also been in for brunch and have had the ciabatta which they make in house. Being an Italian restaurant, the coffee is as you’d expect, so tasty! I’ve been in so many times and every member of staff has been friendly and professional. They are also accommodating to requests. Buongiorno is a Shawlands institution!

I’ve been a regular customer of BuonGiorno, for meals , coffee and cake catch ups with friends, since it opened, more years ago than I care to remember, always pleased with the food , the service, the wine, the cleanliness, the atmosphere , today was no exception. My son , granddaughter and I enjoyed a lovely after school meal of pizza, pasta, pollo Milanese , followed by ice creams, lemon meringue pie; all well cooked, well presented and pleasantly served. Excellent experience

I eat here every few weeks with my partner and occasionally with family including my mother who has Alzheimer’s. The quality of food is great, the staff extremely friendly and the atmosphere great - a real antidote to larger and chain type restaurants. I’ve never had a bad experience and have found the staff extremely sensitive to my mother’s needs. I did note the adverse review by someone who didn’t have this experience with her parents and wanted to write about my own very positive experience here. I’d encourage people to try Buongiourno for themselves.

Beautiful, authentic Italian food cooked by people who clearly love what they do and make you feel really welcome. Will definitely be back.

Attended here 19/11/22 for a birthday meal and it was the worst experience we’ve had in a restaurant. We’re in most Saturdays as a table of as this place is usually our favourite restaurant and chose it as a birthday meal. The service was absolutely shocking didn’t even get a meal, paid for drinks that we waited half an hour for and had to leave and go elsewhere. We’ll seen the mother and son weren’t working as they are the only people who know what they’re doing.

Amazing food, fantastic service from everyone but special mention to Carlo! First time eating in after having a number of takeaways during lockdown - safe to say we'll be back soon. HIGHLY recommend the Norcina, but everything we ordered (and there was a lot) was delicious.

Wanted to love it unfornately my lasagne was cold and swimming in liquids which put me off. The chips were delish and freshly cooked and so was the garlic bread. I will try again but wouldnt reccomend the lasagne.

We ordered way too much food the tapas would have been enough for the two of us. Carbonara pasta and seafood dish was great! Staff were lovely. Small cosy family run restaurant. Will definitely come back.
