“I had a wonderful time in here while waiting for my car to be serviced by the equally wonderful Arif's Autofix , down the road! The kind lady behind the bar gave me a cup of tea for free because I'd been out in the cold... I got talking to a lovely lady in the bar, and the locals couldn't have made me more welcome as I was then bought a drink!! A million thanks for all this kindness!!! I hope to be back for St Patrick's day-without the car! A million blessings to you all and your wonderful pub! Alice”
“Wonderful food from a varied and interesting menu, excellent, friendly service and comfortable seating. Not a sea view, as such, which was a little surprising, given its shoreline location, but everything else more than made up for that.”
“Great restaurant food is amazing and staff are lovely and helpful and polite been here couple times definitely be back lovely restaurant too nice atmosphere”
“Fraser was the best waiter we have had in recent times. The food was brilliant but the service really made its”
“Brilliant menu selection and the food was superb, highly recommend the starters! Staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. Will definitely be back!”
“The moment I walked in, the interiors instantly caught my eye—elegant, cozy, and effortlessly stylish. Every detail felt intentional, from the lighting to the textures, creating a space that’s both inviting and inspiring. The music and salsa on Tuesdays, it’s quickly become one of my favourite go-to spots. A place that feels special without trying too hard.”
“Good place love everytime a go in to the pub if u want a good night and meet amazing people then go to the palaceum Bar..”
“Stayed overnight here for a business trip. Very handy as it's a 5-10min walk from Glasgow Queen Street Station. Friendly reception staff, nice spacious 4th floor room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was fine, reasonable choice and good bacon, all the standard fare but not a vast choice of things though.”
“The minute you walk in you are greeted by very friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms feel clean, luxurious and have all the amenities you need to have a pleasant stay. The breakfast is some of the best I had and the food served is delicious and wonderfully presented. The people that served me really go the extra mile and make you feel as a valued guest. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Haven’t had food yet, but pints are reasonable for the neighbourhood. Darts and entertainment! Fun time for fun people.”
“Went with my domino team to play the balmore team coud not fault this pub great welcome freindly bar staff and locals this should be a standard that every pub aspires to 10 out of 10”
“One of my local pubs, nice atmosphere and friendly staff and punters. It hosts most of the football events regularly. It's not too expensive either.. No food service..”

“A favourite pub to visit & always shiny & clean. Good beer & good prices. Something unpleasant happened this afternoon. Some retired fellas from Liverpool were treated with disdain. I was embarrassed & uncomfortable to hear the treatment from the bar staff.”
“Was here for a wake after the funeral. Soup was good but could have been warmer, section of sandwiches and rolls were perfect and very nice.”
“I went to the granary 2 years ago, my mrs booked it for my birthday, the reason she picked it was because they have a train line that runs round the inside, wasn’t on - she was a bit disappointed in that, she was expecting it to be a bit more themed, with that train line …HOWEVER - We both had the burger and chips. I’ve eaten in many places the ivy Glasgow, the duck bay, seamill hydro, lodge on the loch (with a Michelin chef) but crucially, no one has ever got the burger right, but that burger that night was perfect, it didn’t have that bitterness of every other burger I’ve had. It’s the first burger I’ve been served with 2 patties, I thought if this turns out to have that bitterness to the meat that every other burger has, this will be hard work, but after the first bite it’s easily the best burger I’ve had in the last 5 years. Tasted like a proper freshly bbq’d burger. I’ve never had one like it since, for a pub to pull off a burger like that is very impressive. I would go back just for that alone and i live in greenock.”
“Great solid local pub Lovely team behind bar, and great clientele No pool table but too wee for that !”
“We dropped by here for drinks and dinner after work and managed to get a table quite easily on a Thursday evening. There's a decent selection of both drinks and food, which was tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and the prices were about right. Overall a good experience and we'll probably visit again in the future.”
“The host AJ made us feel welcome on Monday and could not be more attentive to the family. The food was excellent and would recommend Brodens to anyone. AJ what a breath of fresh air with your waitress skills. Many thanks for such a lovely evening.”
“Had the most beautiful and very “different” afternoon tea today in Malmaison. It was so nice to not have the usual sandwiches and have such a lovely choice of savory pieces . The cakes and deserts were to die for and, as much as we tried, we couldn’t stuff everything in! We did get a doggy bag to enjoy the rest at home. The unlimited delicious coffee was a winner for me. The surroundings are very decadent and the booth was so comfortable. We could’ve sat all day if we didn’t have other things to do. All this was made 100 times better by the fabulous Jamal. Just the most friendly, welcoming, attentive server I’ve come across. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact, he went above and beyond to help. Jamal you are an asset to Malmaison. Thank you !”
“Lisa was absolutely brilliant. Excellent service! Will totally recommend. T bone steak was a little bit on the small size and a little bit chewy. The Tomahawk and the fillet sreak were perfectly cooked.”
“We booked a special birthday meal last Sunday afternoon for a party of 8 adults & 5 children. We were made very welcome by all the staff. Cava has a lovely atmosphere, good background music ( not too loud ) and delicious food. We picked Cava as it serves vegetarian & gluten free food. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and a special thank you to our young waiter who was very patient and we never felt rushed.”
“Hadn’t been here in a while and I was so surprised and how much choice there was on the menu! We all had different mains that we really enjoyed. The steak in the rice bowl was cooked so well. It’s nice that you can go for food and then go and chill in the bar area with a drink afterwards. Loved my chicken skewer!”
“We ended up here by chance after previous dinner plans fell through. Super easy to get to as within only a few minutes walking distance from Charring Cross, and across the road from The King's Theatre. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were seated quickly (we didn't have a booking although we were early enough to skip the rush that came later as we were leaving, I'd definitely suggest booking!). The food was delicious. Lots of choice on the menu, and the Minestrone Soup was beautiful. If I was asked to critique something, and this is really just being pernickety and didn't pose much of an issue - the tables are a little bit of a squeeze for space if you're having a pizza. But that's being really nitpicky, as otherwise the booth was comfortable and even busy, the place didn't feel cramped.”
“Great pub grub at a very good price. The staff are friendly and welcoming, drinks at a reasonable price.”
