“We dropped by here for drinks and dinner after work and managed to get a table quite easily on a Thursday evening. There's a decent selection of both drinks and food, which was tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and the prices were about right. Overall a good experience and we'll probably visit again in the future.”

“We came for a 1 night stay due to work. This hotel has a luxurious ambient vibe as soon as you walk through the door. The attention to detail is fantastic. We dined in the bar and grill and the staff were fantastic. Every single staff member we encountered from the reception to bar to dining were fantastic. The room itself (super king) was spacious comfortable and clean. The decor was very nice. Our meal in the bar and grill was outstanding so compliments to the chef. The rump roast beef was one of the best roast beef dinners I've ever had. I have gone out of my way to write this review because the staff deserve it and nowadays with money being tight across the board people want to great service and this is what we were given. Will be returning and recommending to all friends and family”

“Had the most beautiful and very “different” afternoon tea today in Malmaison. It was so nice to not have the usual sandwiches and have such a lovely choice of savory pieces . The cakes and deserts were to die for and, as much as we tried, we couldn’t stuff everything in! We did get a doggy bag to enjoy the rest at home. The unlimited delicious coffee was a winner for me. The surroundings are very decadent and the booth was so comfortable. We could’ve sat all day if we didn’t have other things to do. All this was made 100 times better by the fabulous Jamal. Just the most friendly, welcoming, attentive server I’ve come across. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact, he went above and beyond to help. Jamal you are an asset to Malmaison. Thank you !”

“We booked a special birthday meal last Sunday afternoon for a party of 8 adults & 5 children. We were made very welcome by all the staff. Cava has a lovely atmosphere, good background music ( not too loud ) and delicious food. We picked Cava as it serves vegetarian & gluten free food. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and a special thank you to our young waiter who was very patient and we never felt rushed.”

“Food is delicious with good sized portions. My friend and I have visited it a few times. The 1st time we went we ordered starters, we were so full up that we didn't have room for the main. “Hadn’t been here in a while and I was so surprised and how much choice there was on the menu! We all had different mains that we really enjoyed. The steak in the rice bowl was cooked so well. It’s nice that you can go for food and then go and chill in the bar area with a drink afterwards. Loved my chicken skewer!”

“We came in for lunch around 12:30 and ordered and the food came right away! Food was delicious and good value with their lunch menu. Service was lovely and attentive - waiter came and checked on us during the meal, he didn’t introduce himself so I didn’t get a name. Lovely blonde kid with glasses. Food was excellent, and the atmosphere quickly picked up when a few more tables came in.”

“Popped in here with my wife after a meal at lavita on a monday night. Had not been in for years and happy to report place is still a great wee pub. Great selection of beers and drinks on offer and even do cocktails now. Has a nice outdoor seating area plenty tvs insidebif sports on and all staff friendly. Will be back next time over that way.”

“Brilliant staff, great selection of pints, continental beers and a lively atmosphere. The televisions they have are amazing and there is always live sports on, from horse racing to football I highly recommend it for a couple of pints or a great way to start a night out.”

“This is a casual pub with great food provided by a couple of street vendors. The pizza were amazing and the loaded fries very good, they catered for our GF people and were so great to deal with for our big group. We would come back again. “As an exiled Glaswegian I returned to my favourite iconic pub for a pie and a pint. The beer was great but unfortunately the ‘peely Wally’ pie was a disaster! Gone was the pie oven on the bar (probably health & safety) replaced by a dumb waiter. More importantly the so called pie was crust and pastry with a teaspoonful of filling for the princely sum of £2.60! Please, please change your supplier and revert back to a proper greasy Glasgow pie which actually tasted of something and everyone loved and waxed lyrically about.”

“We go to The Ark all the time, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always lively but relaxed, perfect for catching up with friends or watching a game. The food and drinks are great value, and the place is always clean and well looked after. A special mention to Cara, who always serves us with a smile, making the experience even better. She’s friendly, attentive, and always goes out of her way to make sure everything’s spot on. It’s staff like her that keep us coming back every time! Highly recommend The Ark to anyone looking for a great pub in the city centre.”
