Had a great time here the first time round and then we returned today especially for the talented charming young singer on Sunday and Thursday evening, unfortunately the bar tender was disappointing and unwelcoming this time. Waited for a long time to see 4 others got served before us, when confronted she was abrupt and full of excuses. Too bad, we have to leave for a better place just across the road and we got served IMMEDIATELY! Sadly we actually came here because of the brilliant singer.

Doesnt serve food only licqour/soft drinks. Only visit here for drinks when in town as its a nice clean pub with staff whom we now know by name and its reasonable prices compared to most city centre pub prices.. Clean and comfortable and it seems to get an older generation clientele 50's and upwards. Toilet(s) are small but clean and perfectly serviceable. Great and friendly staff.

I was in bar on Saturday night! What a great night Singing karaoke, the bar made said to me at 12-15 last ordered shut at 1 so I got another round , the. Karaoke stopped early at 12-30 so the bar woman was aggressive to me saying drink up we are closing since karaoke was finished! Absolute disgrace felt bullied

A favourite pub to visit & always shiny & clean. Good beer & good prices. Something unpleasant happened this afternoon. Some retired fellas from Liverpool were treated with disdain. I was embarrassed & uncomfortable to hear the treatment from the bar staff.

Fairly innocuous looking from the outside itβs a no nonsense boozer inside with chatty staff, conversational customers and affordable drinks. Renovation has maybe lost some of its ye old charm over time but it still has a little of its original character. Stained glass, a central ornate bar and some classic pub decor on the walls. Doesnβt show sport or have a kitchen but it does have a few in house events like music and quizzes. Itβs local and friendly. Canβt ask for much more than that on a cold wintery afternoon

To be honest everyone in this pub seemed to be really enjoying themselves, but does that make it great. ? The dj played every song from the 70s, I like the 70s but how far can you go? A traditional bar decorated in a traditional style but with an interesting stained glass window, the message in this, a little puerile
