“Visited the cafe on a weekday lunch, with a reservation for 2. The lunch menu offers various combinations of starters/mains/desserts. Some of the items are not available with these sets. As a Southeast Asian, this food is very tasty and as authentic as one can get back home. But authentic also means don't expect items like chips. We had Nasi Lemak and Hainanese Chicken Rice The portion sizes are in-keeping with the price point. Excellent value for money. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend others too as well!”

“The salt and chilli chips are one of the best I have tried! I had to write a review.. some places they are dry and not much flavour or chilli. Panda has the right idea, plenty of veg, spice, and the chips have a coating on like a slight batter! I chose to smother mine in curry sauce. Superb convenient food.”

“Well on a Monday evening when many Chinese Takeaways are closed, we gave the Hot Wok a try. In fact it is our closest. We was not disappointed. Phoned our order in, was told 5/10 mins. Walked in, the friendly lady who had taken my call 10 minutes earlier had my food ready, paid the very reasonable bill and we was in the car back up the road. Tasty, fresh and hot.... that's all you are looking for from a Takeaway. Will definitely be returning.”

We were welcomed by a calm and cosy atmosphere, accompanied by gentle background music — an ideal setting for a leisurely lunch or a warm get-together with loved ones. We felt at home straight away — thanks to the kind and genuinely attentive staff, who go out of their way to make each guest feel relaxed and well cared for. The steamed signature dim sum stood out in particular: delicate, tender pastry, rich and well-balanced fillings, and a beautifully presented, almost tranquil aesthetic. The menu as a whole surprised us with its thoughtful variety — both in taste and in combinations. You can tell that every dish is prepared with great care and love. Dim Sum isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a space of flavour, peace, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended — and who knows, like us, you may find yourself wanting to return again and again.”

“Wholeheartedly recommend this place - I would always come here every time I visit Glasgow. I’ve been dining here since around 2017 (less so after moving away from Glasgow) and this is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the UK. The owners have changed for several times and my most recent visit was in August 2024, but in my opinion, their standards haven’t dropped, contrary to some of the other reviews. Their Cantonese roast dishes are a must try - they are one of the best in the country in my opinion, and you would be hard pressed to find considerably better quality Cantonese roast dishes elsewhere. Other Cantonese dishes are also delicious and are highly recommended. I would specifically recommend their salt and chilli chicken wings - although not a Cantonese dish and also not a dish I would normally order elsewhere, but there’s something special they do to the coating of the wings that would make these irresistibly crispy and juicy. Having said that, please don’t order any Szechuan dishes here if you can help it - these are not what they specialise here, and you will be disappointed. They also serve free soup and pudding (they taste much better partly because they were free), but only for dinner, subject to availabilities.”

“I would give this place 100 stars if I could. I am coeliac and from the offset Rebecca made sure I could enjoy tasty food while still being safe. She chatted to me on the phone the night before and then throughout the meal helped me find gluten free options with a personalised menu. Rebecca and all of the staff went above and beyond for me and my family. Not to mention, the food was TO DIE FOR. I could not recommend this place more, especially for people with food allergies, they go above and beyond to make you safe while still providing the yummiest food. Thank you!”

“First time trying here and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken satay on skewers was lovely - sauce was amazing and the chicken tender. My daughter liked the salt and chilli chips but I found them rather hard. I felt they were just seasoned with chilli powder and little veg. I like them in chilli oil - not just powder- but it was a minor issue. Chicken curry was good, with lots of chopped chicken breast. Staff were lovely and the place was spotless. We will definitely be back.”

“This is a great restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. Would be perfect for solo dinners through to big groups. The staff are really friendly and happy to help. We were in after 5 and enjoyed the pre theatre menu. I had the sweet and sour and it was great. I tried the chicken feet but must admit it wasn't for me. I'd definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere, service and food (just not the feet lol).”

“Only put atmosphere as a four because it’s a Chinese takeaway and not a Chinese restaurant. okay to start I love the spring rolls, chicken and sweetcorn soup chicken. the sauce the spring rolls comes with is so finger licking good. I recommend the honey chilli crispy chicken. I also like the prawn fried rice with special sauce, my favourite is peking chicken with egg fried rice. I like that they do different types of noodles thin and you know thick noodles. The staff are so lovely the woman on the phone is so nice and the boys in the back are nae bad. Pretty speedy delivery and the drivers have character! love love love ooo i they gave us fortune cookies xxx!!!”

“Tried the Five Spice Beef Flanks with rice, insanely good. Finally found a local authentic Chinese place to eat. The service was great and quick. The only problem is they accept cash only. But it’s totally worth it. Definitely coming back again.”
