“I visited @home THAI in Ayr and left thoroughly impressed. Right from walking in, the vibe was warm and inviting and the decor is modern yet cosy, and the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness. The food stood out. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavour.  The menu also offers vegetarian options and a good spread of Thai classics, making it easy to find something for everyone.”

“A perfect summer surprise at Oiishi. A longtime favourite that keeps getting better. My partner and I have been coming to Oiishi for over six years now, and not once have we left disappointed. This time, we decided to try their new summer tasting menu for my birthday, a bit of a change from our usual favourites, and we were pleasantly surprised. The experience was beautifully paced, allowing us to really savour each dish as it arrived. The summer menu gave us the chance to try things we might never have ordered otherwise, and it opened our eyes to some fantastic new flavours. Highlights included the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef, the delicate and refreshing ebi summer rolls, and the beautifully presented tuna tartare. Every bite was thoughtful and refined. We ended the evening with a refreshing mango sorbet, which came with a delightful little surprise, a perfect way to round off what was a special birthday date night. If I had to pick a negative, which ultimately wasn’t a negative as it still tasted delicious as it is, was the Chilled Ramen with Volcano sauce didn’t have a lot of spice to it. We were expecting to have a kick of heat but it wasn’t there. The staff were exceptional throughout, attentive, informative, and welcoming. Each dish was introduced with care, and a personal visit from the chef to check on our experience was a warm and much-appreciated gesture. For the quality and variety, the summer menu is excellent value. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a relaxed, high-quality tasting experience that offers both comfort and creativity, we can’t recommend Oiishi enough.”

“What a delight to eat at this beautiful restaurant. My husband and I turned up without reservations today after a tough morning following a bereavement to try and take our minds off our sadness. The restaurant owner pulled out all the stops to find us a table, and his kind and friendly manner instantly lifted our spirits. The food was the best we have ever eaten, the staff were so attentive and clearly very happy in their work, and the other customers were obviously in their happy places too. “We've been to this place a couple of times, tried different dishes, and it's been consistently AMAZING. The balance of bold flavours on every plate is absolutely spot on. The pork belly in fish tamarind caramel sauce is the best we've ever had! It has a few seats inside and it's a fantastic option for delivery and collection, with reasonable prices and awesome food. “Went with some colleagues. I got the chicken, cooked beef, and rare beef pho on our waitress’ recommendation. A good portion of noodles, well-marinated chicken, well-cooked beef, and deliciously flavoured broth. Not “special” per se but certainly delicious, exactly what you think a yummy beef pho would taste like. My colleagues also liked their stir fried beef with egg fried rice and coconut curry with vermicelli. All round great meal. Service was friendly and food came really fast. They also offer fruit smoothies/milkshakes - we enjoyed the mango and avocado ones we tried.”

“Compared to another Thai restaurant located on a main road in the city center, this restaurant's location isn't quite as ideal. Nonetheless, after a recommendation from a friend, I decided to pay a visit. In my personal opinion, this is, without a doubt, the best Thai restaurant in Glasgow. The prices are reasonable, and the food is exceptionally delicious. While I cannot say for sure if the restaurant has tailored its offerings to suit local preferences, I can say that as someone who loves Thai cuisine, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my experience at this restaurant.”

“I opted for the crispy roasted pork with noodles—a choice that left me thoroughly satisfied. While the price leaned slightly above average, the culinary experience proved well worth it. The crispy roasted pork, though not as juicy as I had hoped, found redemption in a delightful combination of barbecue sauce and soy sauce for dipping. The noodles, on the other hand, were a true highlight—flavorful and expertly prepared, they served as the perfect accompaniment to the pork. Portions at Same Same are generous, ensuring that hunger is never a concern. Moreover, the friendly staff added to the warm and inviting atmosphere, culminating our visit with the delightful tradition of a fortune cookie.”

“Wholeheartedly recommend this place - I would always come here every time I visit Glasgow. I’ve been dining here since around 2017 (less so after moving away from Glasgow) and this is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the UK. The owners have changed for several times and my most recent visit was in August 2024, but in my opinion, their standards haven’t dropped, contrary to some of the other reviews. Their Cantonese roast dishes are a must try - they are one of the best in the country in my opinion, and you would be hard pressed to find considerably better quality Cantonese roast dishes elsewhere. Other Cantonese dishes are also delicious and are highly recommended. I would specifically recommend their salt and chilli chicken wings - although not a Cantonese dish and also not a dish I would normally order elsewhere, but there’s something special they do to the coating of the wings that would make these irresistibly crispy and juicy. Having said that, please don’t order any Szechuan dishes here if you can help it - these are not what they specialise here, and you will be disappointed. They also serve free soup and pudding (they taste much better partly because they were free), but only for dinner, subject to availabilities.”

“Situated on Crow Road Temple, this Chinese restaurant is superb. We booked, and I would recommend you book, as it is busy. There is street parking only and sometimes can be difficult to park close by. We arrived on time and shown to our table. Staff are friendly and polite. Service was quick and the staff worked as a team providing and excellent service. The food was amazing, a tapas style menu offering a variety of chicken, beef and vegetable options. There is a standard menu, however the tapas was excellent as it allowed me to try different dishes without wasting money or food. We both had 6 dishes roughly with fried rice. If you haven't been, I thoroughly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Remember and book”
