“We ordered a takeout from Thai To Go while staying in a cottage nearby, and everything was great. They kept us informed before delivery, and the food arrived fresh and delicious—you could really taste the quality. The red curry was our favourite. :) Highly recommend!”

“We are regulars here at Ying Lung. We really enjoy it and find it's the best in Northampton. The only thing I wish they did was accept cards for payments but a lot of Chinese takeaways are cash only so this isn't unique to Ying Lung, and the food makes up for it!”

“A small and cosy Thai restaurant in a central location with nearby parking. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The menu caters to all sorts of different tastes with a wide variety of meats, vegetarian and gluten free options. The tamarind duck with coconut rice and pad Thai in particular were excellent 10/10 dishes. This was my first time at this restaurant and I’ll certainly be going back, the food was amazing and everyone in my party agreed! Due to the small size of the restaurant I’d recommend booking in advance, and checking out their menu online.”

“This is my second time at this lovely Thai restaurant. My friends and I go for a retreat every year and this had become our staple dinner since we discovered it last year. “This little Thai family run restaurant was recommended by a friend. We are foodies, and were delighted to find the recommendation a good one. Very friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, good efficient service and delicious authentic food. Tim yum soup excellent, though it was hot enough to make my eyes water, the balance of spice and chilly was perfect and the meat was tender. Same for pNang curry, duck in plum sauce, and beef with basil. Fish for our vegetarian companion was perfectly cooked, and we'll presented. Pad Thai dish was fragrant and plentiful. Good value for money. Happy to go there again.”

“Staying locally for a few days and came to this delightful cosy restaurant. We love Thai food but are always nervous about coming somewhere new. However, this place did not disappoint. Charming service at just the right pace. Spoke to a local who comes regularly and said they've never had a bad meal there. I had the Penang vegetable curry and coconut icecream, my husband had duck green curry and banana fritters both were delicious. We parked in the free car park nearby as the parking ourside the restaurant is limited. It gets fully booked at weekends so I advise you to book early. We definitely back next time we're in the area.”

“Our friend & his family recommended Tuk Tuk Thai after a recent visit, and went we back with him. The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant had a great feeling and atmosphere. Even whilst the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night the staff kept on top of making sure we was happy with our food etc. our waitress (lily) was very helpful in regards to helping us choose what to eat, especially as my husband is on a keto diet at the moment, she knew all about it and guided us to what he could or couldn’t eat. The food had amazing flavour and good size portions. Will definitely be coming back and thank you for a lovely evening.”

You walk into the restaurant and feel as though you've stepped into another world between the abundance of plants, the indoor pond and the intricately carved stunning tables. The team are always ever so friendly and welcoming! The food is simply delicious and the Thai Orchid is somewhere I regularly recommend to any looking for a delicious meal!”

Given how packed it was, the situation was understandable, and the staff were doing their best. Still one of my favourite places for authentic Thai food!”

“Had a take away last weekend for the first time from Thai Chef. My telephone call was answered quickly, ordering was easy and efficient and a time given for collecting, my choice 30 minutes. Easy parking outside the restaurant for a pickup or use of the car park behind the restaurant if eating-in, makes it very convenient. My order of Thai green curry, pad Thai and jasmine rice was ready for pick up on time, Sue even included chilli in fish sauce, thank you. All the food was hot by the time I got home in about 15 minutes to the opposite side of town. A highly recommend local restaurant.”

“My partner and I ordered some takeaway, and while we waited we enjoyed a cold drink. The food was exceptional. What impressed me the most is the way the young gentleman with glasses treated us and other customers. He was patient with us while we decided what to order, he made sure to put ice in the drinks we enjoyed on a hot day, the AC was on, he stored our takeaway in the thermos bag to stay hot. He was so thoughful and showed kind awareness of other people's feeling, needs and circumstances. Well done!”

“We have been going to Thai Modern for years. They provide excellent quality every time. We love every single dish there. They are super clean, and the atmosphere feels like you are in Thailand. “Suki-Yaki noodles were really amazing and tasty. Absolutely loved the texture of the noodles and taste! The soup of Yen Tah Fu was very warm and flavourful as well. The noodles could be more cooked so that it is less tough, but overall a very tasty and heartwarming meal. Staff were very friendly and cheerful. Overall a decent and affordable place to have a Thai meal. Would have been perfect is serving portions were slightly bigger. Edit: went a second time to try their curry. The duck red curry and the fried fish curry were both super tasty! Absolutely loved it.”

“Came here with friends just before Christmas. They have an All You Can Eat menu which was great value for money, each dish is cooked to order and served fresh to us, it's better if you come in a larger group of 4+ as you can share more dishes and portion sizes are generous. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the restaurant was clean, we were all stuffed at the end of the dinnee. Would definitely come again!”

The staff were lovely and the food was exceptional (and beautiful!) The Massaman curry with lamb is a definite favourite! We feel so lucky to have such great Thai food in Northampton ❤️”
