“Shocked to read the comments below about the two lady’s at the till being rude as my personal experience with both of them have always been nothing but pleasant & friendly . We had the Pad Thai number 9 combo noodle box over the weekend and it was sooo delicious . I’ve been going to Thai Noodle for 7 years now & it never fails to disappoint. Elaine x”

“Good selection of plant-based dishes (4/5 Green Stars) Camile Thai was started by Brody Sweeney, who had previously founded O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich bars. Apparently there are 45 branches of Camile Thai around Ireland, the UK, and even the US. A lot of business comes from delivery and take away orders – this branch had many order pick-ups but we were the only diners eating in. Apparently the Oranmore (Galway) branch conducted a trial of food delivery by drone to save on delivery costs and carbon footprint. Three things are immediately eye-catching upon looking at the menu: 1. Compostable packaging for take-out or delivery food 2. Each dish is graded for carbon footprint 3. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options There are some inconsistencies with some of the carbon footprint grades on the printed menu versus the online version that need to be fixed. For example, edamame received a D grade on the printed menu and an A on the online version. But in general these grades are helpful. As a general rule, the vegan / vegetarian dishes are graded A, while dishes containing chicken usually get a B, duck or prawn dishes are graded C and beef dishes are graded E. A more accurate version of this would be A for veggie, D for chicken, E for duck and prawn and F for beef – especially if other environmental factors such as land and water use were also taken into account. I found that even if dishes are listed with a meat component, they can probably make a vegetarian or vegan version. I was interested to try the Singapore Noodles and they were able to make it with vegan chicken instead of real chicken. We both enjoyed our dishes and I’ll definitely plan to return to try more. Staff members were friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I’m giving Camile 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: • Many vegan and vegetarian options. Adopting a plant-based diet is the top thing you can do to mitigate climate change and deforestation, besides avoiding animal cruelty and the negative impact of the meat industry on society. • The idea of grading each dish for carbon footprint is a very nice idea, helping customers to bear the planet in mind when ordering. • It’s also an interesting experiment to give people a choice – you can have the same dish with different proteins (tofu or vegan chicken, chicken, duck, shrimp or beef) with an increasingly large carbon footprint. But wouldn’t it be even better to not offer beef at all? • Compostable containers for food ordered for delivery or to take away is also a big plus. • Camile has also launched a trial (in collaboration with Vytal Ireland) of reusable packaging for food ordered from the Pearse St. (Dublin) branch – containers can be returned to the branch within two weeks. • Beer is available in bottles – it’s a pity they don’t do draft beer (less packaging) but I guess there’s not enough demand for it. • Camile collaborated with Open Hive to increase the Irish Black Honeybee population. • Restaurant ops have recipes and admin policies that reduce food waste to 1% in Camile kitchens. Food waste is responsible for a large chunk of our global CO2 emissions.”

“Excellent takeaway would highly recommend. Have tried a few dishes from it all are delicious. Personal favourite are their satay dishes but there honey chilli, blackbean and amber fire sauces are also very good. Decent sized portions and priced similar to other Chinese takeaways. Worth a visit I deffo be back for more”

“Tried this last night for the first time. Ordered their vegetarian Thai Green Curry and it is absolutely delicious. Really big portion too, was able to split in two and have it the next night as well. Best chinese I've had in a long time and will definitely go back. Great price too.”

“It's easy to miss this little gem. We went in and were greeted by the most wonderful woman at the counter. She was so jolly and polite, this was our first experience. Then in the car we decided to taste the food and were absolutely blown away at just how good it was. I was genuinely shocked and strongly recommend everyone who is even considering it to try this little restaurant.”

“Went here as a group of eight and I have to say that I was positively surprised. The location right at the harbour, the ambiance and the food really blew my mind. The prices are good for the quality and amount of expertly prepared meals which include a starter and main course. Toilets are hygienic too. Really give this place a try - I highly recommend it!”

“Has a full range of Chinese cuisine and also a European menu..the including rice, noodle and curry dishes along with all the other favourites..telephone orders accepted for collection and walk in orders the service is fairly quick..it is a clean establishment with the kitchen in full view..the food tastes fantastic and its easy to see why they are popular..definitely recommended”

“The food here is delicious!!! The service on the other hand is not so good. I literally order the same order every Saturday night £59.59 for delivery. From last 4 orders we’ve had an item missing from 3 orders(like noodles, main dish, large sauce £2.60 or higher) we’ve had to go back down even if collected or if delivered. No offer of delivery refund or even a small commentary item for the inconvenience due having keep the food warm at home ( for like 30mins by time you unpack order, realise item missing, ring them(5min phone call) & drive down and wait on ur missing item) while driving to get our missing item which has been paid for through Just Eat. First time we passed no remarks but getting a bit sick of it now and when you phone you’ve to wait like 5 mins while they talk to chefs about who made what. And then there’s no offer to deliver it after paying the £4 delivery charge. Guys we love your food but really getting fed up of this now. There’s never a mistake of an extra item in the order always something missing. We love your food but every Saturday now is will they get our order right or not!!! Please do better we love your food x”

“We moved to Dromore this year, and we don't often get chinese but on the odd occasion we love it and Tsans welcome has to be the best chinese we have tried. Food is always stunning and cooked to perfection. Staff always polite and hard working and nothing is ever compromised even when they are super busy. Highly recommend! A firm favourite in our house! “The quality of food is outstanding! Duck pancakes were excellent, the mussamun beef outstanding. Looked like we were the only customers on a thursday night. Such a shame! Too good for Downpatrick I’m afraid! It’s not cheap and times are hard, but a re location to Newcastle looks on the cards! Shame!”

“Ordered salt and chilli box, and a portion of salt and chilli chicken balls - amazing! Delivery came within half an hour, food still piping hot. Honestly best chicken balls i have tasted - some places tend to overcook or reheat too much. Good portion sizes too!”

“This is the best Chinese around I travel 12miles to get it even tho there is a Chinese 2miles from where I live , the food is tasty every single time portions are big and worth the price .
