“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! There was something for everyone, and all dietary needs were catered for without any fuss. A huge thank you to the entire team at Divine Restaurant for making our evening so memorable. “What can I say, the food was absolutely delicious, and we are fussy, for instance I hate sweet and sour sauce that has tomato sauce in it, this one was perfect, no tomato sauce in sight. All cooked fresh and very quick service. The staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Definitely be going back....10 out of 10!”

“I come to the Restaurant Hub in Selly Oak all the time as a student, both to eat and to get some work done, and it’s consistently one of my favourite spots in the area. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough to study in while still feeling lively. The staff are amazing and always make the place feel welcoming. A special shoutout to Pedro who is always incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful every time I visit. His energy genuinely makes the experience even better. “Happy lamb is one of the best Halal Chinese hotpot locations there is in brum! I come here every couple of months and it never disappoints. The atmosphere & staff are very friendly. We enjoyed the early bird special it was very good value and lots of variety. The kitchen is open plan and looked very clean tidy & efficient. I love open plan kitchens when eating out. “Wow wow wow!! Seriously impressed. I have some good Chinese food in my time. Staying in bromsgrove at the Hanbury turn pub/lodge. Not much going on around this area food wise. I call a couple Chinese takeaways (Monday evening) one was closed, one didn’t deliver that night they said. 3rd time lucky I guess., they said would be with me in 40-50 mins. It turned up between 10-15 minutes after I put the phone down. I Had special chow mein, peking ribs and Cantonese sweet and sour chicken. Came with prawn crackers and 3 fortune cookies. All of it was lovely and cost £24. Would highly recommend, I can’t even give one slight faults. Have to give this a 9.5 out of ten”

“Went tonight for a Saturday night dinner out and was greeted with a warm welcome as usual. Service here is always amazing Wendy is incredible and always makes us feel at home she remembers us every time we come and now even knows us by name. She's such a sweet woman and goes above and beyond to make sure we have a good time. She always makes sure we have exactly what we want and need when visiting and goes the extra mile. Such as today, I've not been very well with a cold and she brought me out some hot lemon water to help with my throat which was so kind of her. I would definitely recommend a trip here the food is lovely and the service !”

The: beef satay dish (tender), Singapore fried rice, prawn toast was outstanding - I think that was the best prawn toast i ever had as of typing this. The spring roll was good. The HK milk tea (hot) was great & so was the peanut butter filled toast w/ condensed milk. Helpful & friendly staff. Quick service.”

The staff accidentally flipped the open sign 20 minutes early because they were cleaning, but let us sit inside reviewing the menu while they finished opening. It's a hidden gem with great food, worth checking out. Only downside was parking, it's really limited out front, the near by supermarket parking is too short a duration, but the menu mentioned restaurant parking at the rear, though we didn't confirm how much was there ourselves.”

The soup of the day for £3 (only available on some days) tastes nice and portion size very generous. Highly recommended. Restaurant only takes cash but there is a ATM nearby”

“We popped in to have some food here. The prepayment system is easy to use, and the staff helped us to have a card and top it up. There are different eateries with Korian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese food. The concept is perfect, the staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and we had massive portions. I will definitely visit when I visit Birmingham next time.”
