The chicken and black bean sauce with chow mein is genuinely sooo good! I went with my mum last week and you can tell the food is fresh. The staff were nice and quick with things and gave advice on what would be best to eat. It’s a nice place to have a warm cooked meal on a rainy day.

Im happy with so quick service and attention, now its my favourite Chinese place in Birmingham! We went there the second time, and the women who served us did put only 1 chopstick for 3 people, totally forgot about to put any soya sauce or salt on the table. But one disappointing moment is they microwave our food, which I found not good to do.

The food was delicious. The staff were friendly. They are struggling for space, so it's a little cramped in there, but the food is so tasty and the pricing is very reasonable for the cuisine, quality and location. I really hope they can find a way to expand their space, but I think it's difficult at this sought after location, or they probably would have done something by now. With any venue, I make it a point to check their restroom facilities, if I can. They have one unisex room, but it's well maintained, spacious and hygienic. This is a big plus from my perspective, and puts this place above many others for this alone, but obviously; there may be busy times when it's difficult to get in there. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere, is because it's a little cramped and can get a bit breezy if people come in and out a lot. But I want to be clear, the the crowd in there and the staff, were fine (though there is definitely a feeling that the place is bristling with life!).

The best in chinatown for roast meats. Our place for lunch/dinner whenever we visit from London. The lady who usually wears a hat and sometimes at front chopping up the meat is very attentive and considerate. Even gave us children’s scissors to help cut up the meat so it was easier for our children to eat. Looking forward to going back next time!

The best roast meat and braised meat that I've eaten in UK. Very simple decor, staff may look stern and blunt but actually friendly and accomodated our requests. The soup of the day for £3 (only available on some days) tastes nice and portion size very generous. Highly recommended. Restaurant only takes cash but there is a ATM nearby

Thursday 12pm. Lots of diners in tightly packed small cafe. Fried beef Hor fun flavourful with tender marinated beef slice. Some hor fun was not coated well though. Special roast meat with noodle soup on the side nicely done. Roast belly pork crispy yet not very salty and roast duck is nicely marinated. Very big portion.

I really enjoyed my visit here on Monday evening. The food was tasty and the prices were really reasonable. I ordered Pork and Aubergine with Rice and it was delicious. It's cash only but there's a cash point nearby so it's no problem. I will definitely be back here as I'd love to work my way through the whole menu!

Was looking forward to trying this place but was a bit disappointed to be honest. The roast duck was mostly bone and there was a lot of just plain rice. Chow mein was nice though and the small amount of char siu was good.

Definitely worth having a look in and glad we did. The food was excellent definitely a little taste of Hong Kong but In Birmingham. The cuisine is wholesome Cantonese dishes with all your standard dishes. We went for a fish and tofu and crackling pork pot as a little extra to accompany Our roast meat noodle soup and beef flank crispy noodles. Prices are very reasonable and portions are excellent. Everything was flavoursome, normally am not a fan of roast charsiu pork as it can be quite dry I find, but this was exceptional lovely balance of sweetness with the caramelized from the roast. And pork was tender and juicy. The service was super friendly as it was our first visit, it felt like going to a aunties house. When I went to pay I didn’t even need to ask and she was like would you like to pack the left over as portion was very generous and we couldn’t eat it all. If your looking for excellent service, cheap prices and a taste of Hong Kong I recommend coming here. Don’t be deterred by the basic decor, but it reminds me of the Hong Kong cha tan teng places. Shame I don’t live closer or I would be going for my weekly fix
