“Delicious food and sushi!! Tried the salt and pepper squid, beef ho fun, and some sushi rolls and everything was delicious! Nice owner as well!”
“For a small place the service is always great, been here many times. No license, so bring your own wine/beer. Food is always freshly prepared and very tasty.”
“Absolutely delicious Shanghainese food! Every dish was full of authentic flavour — especially the dumplings, which were juicy and perfectly balanced. The braised pork was tender and rich without being greasy. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots in town for genuine Shanghai cuisine — highly recommended!”
“I recently visited Turpan Uyghur Restaurant - what a hidden gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and made with care. Highlights were the Laghmen (hand-pulled noodles perfection), Samsa, and Polu. Cozy, welcoming vibe and genuinely delicious. Highly recommend!”
“Amazing food, amazing service, a warm atmosphere and not too loud! It’s super affordable able too. We only paid £15 pp for all the food below. Including drinks. Kim was a great host as was the rest of the team on shift!”
“Really delicious, fast and friendly service, can be a short queue at busy times. We both went for the mini tiffin and masala tea, but don't let "mini" fool you, it's a good portion really good food. We'll have to go again for all the other things we saw on the menu.”
“Absolute gem! Popped in with two of my friends and everything was perfect. If you like sweet-flavoured dishes, go for the Cola Pork Ribs with Rice Cakes, the Plum Powder Potato Tower, and the Black Pepper Honey Beef. If you’re into bold Sichuan flavours, the Guan Gong Spicy Beef and the Salt and Pepper Lotus are both amazing. Mango and Taro Flavoured Rice Cakes are a must-try after-meal delight — they go perfectly with the condensed milk dipping. Portions are generous, prices are fair for London, and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be back!”
“I recently dined at this restaurant and was impressed. The stir-fried noodles were chewy and flavorful, with a perfect mix of vegetables and beef. The lamb skewers were tender and juicy, with a balanced smoky seasoning. The cowbean with peppers and leeks was another highlight, featuring succulent beef and a refreshing crunch from the vegetables. Overall, the dishes were high quality and well-prepared. Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious, authentic flavors. Can't wait to return and try more dishes!”
“First visit tonight, and what a fantastic experience! The moment we stepped in, we could feel the energy — a lively vibe filled with the aroma of sizzling BBQ, the clinking of beer bottles, and the sound of happy chatter. We arrived around 8 PM and only had to wait 20 minutes for a table, which is pretty reasonable for a buzzing Saturday evening. The staff were warm and welcoming, and service was impressively fast. Now to the highlight: the BBQ! From the juicy lamb skewers to the smoky chicken wings, every bite was packed with flavor. The seasoning was just right — bold, savory, and addictive. The skewers brought back nostalgic memories of late-night street BBQs from my childhood. The grilled sausage and bacon-wrapped goodies were standout bites too — crispy on the outside, tender inside. Just check out the photo… it speaks for itself! This place nailed the balance of great food, casual vibes, and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends next time. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for some delicious grilled eats and a chill night out!”
“I’ve been to FLK so many times and I have never had a bad experience. The owner is the definition of lovely and dedicated to not only making sure you get everything you came for, but also educating you on different ways of how to use the ingredients. The store may be small, but it’s packed with such variety and a constant stream of new ingredients. Even though I’ve moved away from Catford, I still make the journey to get my Asian groceries from here and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.”
“Amazing place staff and food. I even travel 5 miles to eat here so so nice”
“Well, this is a surprise! went to try the new place out and we were really delighted with the quality of the food, very flavourful and just the right spice level, very authentic. instantly up to the top of our choices for Indian restaurants in Caterham. and the Chinese food we saw coming out from the kitchen looked really good too!”
“Very good authentic Chinese Restaurant. Nice cosy place. Tasty food with friendly service. Need to reserve a table before you go as it is always full. Have few public parking spaces around. The toilets are very clean, compared to other restaurants, I am very pleased about this. Recommend for families”
“Cliff was my host and he was such a gentleman, and I was made to feel welcome! The food was excellent and the ambiance was amazing! Thank you so much cliff and team! Amazing!”
“Ordered Sichuan twice-cooked fish (回锅鱼) and Three fresh vegetables (地三鲜): green pepper, eggplant and potato. Both dishes are tasty and not too oily, that is what I like most!”
“Excellent food! Amazing service! We really enjoyed the dim sum, the soup and the salt&pepper chicken! We will definitely come back! The best dim sum in North London!”
“Amazing food, great service and lovely staff. First time I’ve tried this ever since they’ve opened, have been meaning to try it out but was amazed at the flavour and quantity. Owner always greats and is generous with the portions. Sat down and ate but had to take the food away as there was so much between two people. Decently priced too. Will visit regularly now.”
“Very wholesome experience. Came into the restaurant with no idea of what to eat. Left with a smile and a full stomach. Will definitely be attending again Shout out to David for his amazing recommendations and customer service”
“Ordered for the third time tonight. The food was great , plentiful and nice and hot. I had the duck with pancakes and Singapore rice noodles (mixed meat) and complimentary prawn crackers. I would highly recommend Ricky's to anyone. Service was also quick on home delivery. A delicious meal and I ate it all because it tasted so good !”
“This place feels like a warm hug. The staff are kind, the food is simple but incredible and the atmosphere is perfect. The lunch deal is great value, especially for London. Try the homemade chilli oil, it's my new obsession.”
“A little gem of a place! Sweet & Sour chicken is absolutely delicious & good value for money. I always try to visit when I'm in London”
“Came here few times. Very authentic Sichuan Chinese cuisine with reasonable prices. Just note that there’s no toilet available.”

“Have been looking for a good chinese restaurant nearby areas. They do not exist anymore Came here just on a whim. Used to come here when it was Lido never enjoyed it. However This restaurant hit all the spots. The food was exactly what I was craving for. The service was so nice. The 2 ladies in front of house were so welcoming and friendly. I managed to get one ladies name (vicky) she was fantastic. Go here will not disappoint. Will be back soon :))”
“It was so good we’re definitely going back again. We had the copa ham & mackerel pate to start which were both really delicate. Followed by the cabbage which, I don’t normally get excited by cabbage but this was great! Super flavours and dressing. We also had the fish noodles which were like pasta but again really delicate. I had the char siu pork which was incredible value for money and we had to have the prawn toast. This is more like a donut texture with prawns inside covered in a mountain of Parmesan - amazing! Booking a table is recommended”
“Crab Roe Soup Dumplings: Very authentic — thin skin, juicy, fresh and sweet. Pairing with ginger and vinegar makes it delicious! Pineapple Shrimp: The shrimp are really big, with a bouncy and tender texture. Tastes great, not overly sweet, which suits most people’s preferences. Spicy Dry Pot Beef Offal: Fragrant, spicy, and numbing — surprisingly good! The offal was simmered until very soft, so it absorbed the flavors really well. Highly recommended. Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs: Crispy and charred on the outside, with a nice mix of fat, meat, and cartilage. It leans more toward a dry-fried style, which I really enjoyed. Pan-Fried Buns: Looked decent at first, but the bottoms weren’t as crispy as expected. The filling was tasty, though not juicy, and not very authentic. My friends thought the flavor was good overall, and I think people from the north might especially like it.”
“Cathy and Jm are always so welcoming, caring and kind… the food is carefully prepared and presented… and is so tasty … lovely options for those with dietary limitations”
