“I’ve been to many restaurants, those which include restaurants that have multiple Michelin stars. I am super critical with reviews, but I never thought it would come to the day I would say this.. but this food “is food that brings you back home… back home to your mother”. That’s so rare in this day and age and think how much of an expert someone has to be to create that with Thai food for someone coming from Sri Lankan origin. Every ingredient is fresh, the blend of spices, the quality of meat and the food expertly made brings a dish which is truly homemade and delicious. I have never experienced anything that tastes truly homemade from a restaurant outside the home. I feel great after eating this too compared to other takeaways as it’s so natural. This is hands down the best restaurant in St Albans. Kat and her partner are such a superb couple running this restaurant, they are incredibly kind and accommodated to a special birthday request. They both came out and greeted us, which was super kind of them and proved many things but the biggest.. this is homemade food, food made from the heart. You want to try true Thai food.. don’t bother with the £800 flight, come here - to this very place a drive away in a lovely home situated in St Albans and you will experience it first hand. “Delicious Syrian food made with great ingredients and care (eg use of saffron in sauces). Particularly recommend the baba ghanoush and the Mashi (very unusual, I’ve never seen this before in the UK). Maher is also a super friendly, charismatic host. Strongly recommend.”

If you like sweet-flavoured dishes, go for the Cola Pork Ribs with Rice Cakes, the Plum Powder Potato Tower, and the Black Pepper Honey Beef. If you’re into bold Sichuan flavours, the Guan Gong Spicy Beef and the Salt and Pepper Lotus are both amazing. Mango and Taro Flavoured Rice Cakes are a must-try after-meal delight — they go perfectly with the condensed milk dipping. Portions are generous, prices are fair for London, and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be back!”

We tried pho for the first time and it’s quite light and not greasy at all but wish there could be more of that marrow taste. All in all it’s great experience and not too pricey too! “It was an absolute delight to finally find an oriental store with everything I wanted. The store was very well stocked with an assortment to make your mouth water, and help always at hand. Everything was well labelled, priced, clean and tidy.....puts some supermarkets to shame!! I only went in to see the store, and came out with 2 full bags. The prices are incredibly competitive, and the service is excellent. Thank you Mofz, I will definitely visit again. Just noticed they also have a store in East London, that's wonderful!!!”

“This restaurant is a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Mongolian cuisine! The food is absolutely delicious and made me feel like I was back home. Every dish is full of flavor and prepared with so much care. The sushi is also fantastic,fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially if you’ve never tried Mongolian food before. It’s a wonderful experience you shouldn’t miss!”

“We came here on Valentine's Day's evening. It was our first time and did so after reading the good reviews. The lady at the front was superb, she patiently helped us with the menu and answered all of our questions even though she was busy receiving phone calls and customers coming in. The overall experience was excellent and definitely this is our Chinese restaurant to go from now on. We will repeat very soon for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, there were two dishes that we didn't like but this is a subjective opinion, we can't complain about the cooking, it is a personal taste. Black bean sauce has both a strong smell and taste that we didn't like but we liked beef and vegetables' textures. Also, the chicken with mushrooms brought us back images of hospital meals with plain boil chicken; the mushrooms, however, were great. We will try other dishes next time. Nonetheless, let me say how good were both the big (filled with small pieces of meat and other ingredients that I don't know but crunchy and delicious) and mini spring rolls (more pastry than filling with a tiny spicy trace), sweet and sour chicken (battered), chicken in sweet lemon sauce, special fried rice and special fried soft noodles (we would rather prefer them with more dressing but were not dried. Some more soya sauce could do the trick). Very quick cooking times, this must be due to a great mise en place. Well done chef! There are fortune cookies available for 20p each which come individually sealed and wrapped. Good prices, very good value for money. £10 minimum for card payments. There is a cash machine nearby that charges £1.90 for withdrawals. Parking is free on the road except from 11am to midday. They don't deliver to Edmonton Green but we are a quick short car ride away. In addition, the local had a cozy, clean, tidy and warm ambient that we liked while waiting for the order to be cooked. This is not like a chicken & chips shop full of grease and disturbing young people around. It might be because it was during the half term, can't really tell. Just in case, I earn no commission with my review and I am very critical. I am leaving my honest first experience. Updates will follow if needed.”

“I was visiting London and craving good authentic Chinese, so ordered on UberEATS. Even though the food didn’t arrive as hot and freshly made to be enjoyed, I have to still give it a 5-star rating, food is meant to be enjoyed straight out of the pan so not their fault if noodles soaked up a lot of the soup (the broth was delicious) as it sat in traffic. The Jian noodles were stuck together but with some tossing in a separate bowl it came together nicely. This type of noodle dish is also good at room temperature or cold, the hefty amount of cucumbers was great too as there was almost too much sauce and was on the saltier side because of it. The 20-piece dumpling was luke warm (not your fault guys) was still juicy and delicious and I loved the chewy skin dipped in the dark vinegar. If I had chili sauce to go with at the Airbnb even better! Overall it satisfied our cravings, but if you can visit in person it would be much better!”
