“Visited Escala on a Friday night. From the get go the atmosphere was lovely. We had a lovely lady seat us. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and browsed the menu. The menu has a selection of great choices. Every dish we had was stunning - attached photos with what it is. Really recommend the scallops & sprouts!!”

“I enjoyed vegetarian mock duck pancakes here, they were delicious! I liked the ambience of the restaurant, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. One waitress saw that we didn't have any water and asked if we wanted some, which I felt was really good service and the water was already being brought by someone else, so we felt very well attended and looked after. “We've only been in the area a year, umm yeah, it is a year, and we tried a few different Chinese takeaways, coming from Bath, we had two that really stood out for us and we chose according to what we wanted. But the ones we tried in this area before Oriental Sunrise were.....bland. But then we tried this one, which actually has lamb on the menu which was promising! Considering my default was always Beef n Blackbean becaise i almost never saw lamb available, I was stoked. Lamb is kind of a regional thing in Chima, and most takeaway menus are influenced by where the owners come from. We're still experimenting with the menu, but this is definitely the best of the Chinese takeaways in the Radstock/Midsomer area. As for delivery, they are always fast, so if we order chips, they've barely sweated in the bag. I do definitely recommend this one if you like flavour with your Chinese food.”

“First visit so didn't know what to expect, turns out food was the best I've had for a long time. The service excellent. Docked a star for atmosphere as the waiting area had no heating on this occasion and it was one of the coldest nights of the year, having said that there was evidence of what looked like fresh building work going on. Will be a regular visitor in the future. Ps price was also good.”

“Love this takeaway! Never tried until last year and I fell in love! So I had to tell everyone and try promote as id never noticed it tucked away like that! This place is a gold mine! Curry sauce is the traditional English oriental way! Nice curry infusion. Food cooled to perfection. Never ever have I ever had complaints. Please try promote through social media and Snapchat to keep this shop still in town. They've been there for years!!! Such lovely lovely people! Happy new year to you guy's. “I came across Wai Yee Hong supermarket during the long lockdown. The website is user friendly and it has an excellent choice of provisions (some of it are not available elsewhere). Goods are well packaged, recyclable and delivery is quick and prompt. Reasonable courier charges.”
