“Excellent chinese food and by far the best I've had in the Chippenham/Melksham/Corsham area!! We ordered a takeaway to eat with the in-laws after our little ones went to bed and it did not disappoint. I was very impressed by the flavours of the hk style sweet & sour (having grown up in hk, this tasted just like the sweet&sour I'd get back home) and the pork fried rice. The crispy shredded beef was STILL crispy by the time we got home and ate it 20 mins later, the salt & pepper squid was also crispy and very tasty. We had half crispy duck with pancakes which was delicious, 2 different veggie dishes, lo mein noodles, spring rolls etc.. all in all about 10 dishes and came to just under £100 for 4 adults (averaging about £25 each). Which is very good considering the amount we ate! Everyone was full and there was even plenty leftover for lunch the next day. However I do feel like they could've thrown in some prawn crackers or something else for free given the size of the order. But then again maybe they don't do that because it's not your typical Chinese, it's better. Regardless, this is my new fave Chinese restaurant and will definitely be ordering from here again!”

“Tried this restaurant recently off the back of recommendations and gladly can say I was not disappointed and I’m sure you wouldn’t be either! A very authentic and homely feel to the restaurant, warm and quiet spot with quirky basement vibe. We ordered both set menu B and C because why not! 4 us ate here and we had more than enough good food. I’ll talk over some of my highlights from the set menus, my favourite overall was certainly the sweet and sour chicken, crispy yet tender with real sweet and sour flavour running through out the dish pack a real punch and depth of flavour which just kept making you want to eat more and more. Other hits on menus were - king prawns in ginger and spring onions, beef in black bean sauce, aromatic crispy lamb pancakes and mention to the mixed starts, ribs were succulent and juicy, and satay chicken was perfect. Overall some really nice dishes, not full of oil or greasy like a take away, really flavourful and thought out dishes, not a massive menu here and the dishes they do they really know about. Nothing bad to say about this spot and I would rate this visit a solid 8/10! Will return that’s for sure!”

“Lovely rooms and great food! I stayed one night for my mother's birthday and we had a lovely time. The rooms where nice, clean and cozy with a lovely british vibe, when we checked in there was music playing in the room which was a nice touch. I loved the decor of our rooms and both dinner and breakfast were very good. We played some board games at the pub after dinner as well, and this was a peferct location to explore the Cotswolds. Would definitely come back and reccomend!”

“Absolutely amazing, great priced dishes and drinks. Get a can of coke for £1.50 and a decent portion size for £9. You can customise your spice level, I recommend a 2 if you're not into spice a lot, 3 if you can hack a Shin ramen. 4 is decent if you regularly enjoy spice, but 5 made me see God as I flew too close to the sun. Staff are lovely and the food tastes amazing. They offer aprons and chocolate as well. Don't miss out on this food hot-spot!”

“We had dinner here on Thursday evening after being rejected by the Vietnamese Noya on the same street as we hadn’t booked. It was a very busy night in Bath due to the graduation day the next day I believe. Hondu Sushi’s menu was quite extensive to include Malaysian as well. Didn’t get to try. We ordered Salmon Belly rice, Seafood stir fried noodles, Sashimi Bento, Unagi roll and cheese and crab roll. All were delicious apart from the last item. Of course something like Kraft cheese was used but the most disappointing thing was the use or crab stick. It should be called a cheese and crabstick roll to be specific because that was what I was expecting. And it was cheap. All in all service was good and food was good. Only a bit of misdescription. Service charge like many places now, is included in your final bill. Food - good Service - good Atmosphere - it’s ok- busy but not too tight. No music and not too noisy”

“We’ve ordered from Chefoo several times now and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair – our most recent order came to £59.70, including delivery and service, which felt like great value for the amount and quality of food. This time, we received a lovely surprise: complimentary prawn toast and prawn crackers – a thoughtful touch that made the meal feel even more special. Here’s what we got: 2 Singapore Vermicellis – Spicy, packed with flavour, and perfectly cooked. Sweet & Sour Battered Pork (HK Style) – Classic and comforting, with a great balance of tang and sweetness. Salt & Chilli Chips – A bit of a miss this time around; tasty seasoning but they came out a little soggy. Black Bean Mixed Vegetables – Fresh, crisp, and smothered in a rich, garlicky sauce. Prawn Dumplings with Sweet Chili Sauce (6 pcs) – Juicy and flavourful with a nice kick. Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef – The standout dish. Crunchy, sweet, spicy – absolutely addictive. Delivery was quick and everything was neatly packed and piping hot. Overall, Chefoo continues to be a go-to for a reliable, satisfying Chinese takeaway. Final verdict: Consistently good food, great value, and generous service. Highly recommended.”

“I have never been in because my husband always collects, so can't really comment on atmosphere. But the food is the best Chinese around. Having gone off Chinese food in recent years due to overuse of MSG giving me insomnia this place has converted me. Have enjoyed every dish I've had there and never had any trouble sleeping after. The satay is especially delicious and the prawn toast superior to all others. Chinese has become my first choice of takeaway - but only from here!”

“Friends who i stayed with recommended this place and I was not disappointed. The portions are definitely way worth for what you pay for. It was delicious. I had to walk a good 10 min to get back to my place and was worried it would get cold but wow even after arriving the food was still so hot i had to wait a bit to eat it. Atmosphere is hard to review because it is a pick up place only so no seating for dining in but i don't think that's a negative. Just good to know. I had the shrimp chow mein and it was good.”

“Can’t fault this take away one bit! The shop is very clean which we noticed straight away. The food we had was amazing - very tasty! Our favourite dish was the Salt & Pepper Crispy King Prawns.
