Oriental restaurant in Edinburgh

“First time at Tattu but will defos be back. Has very good food and atmosphere. We loved our server Tayeeba who was very attentive and explained the menu well. We order the kung po prawn and char sui pork mains with sides of the wagu beed gyoza and the spicy egg noodles. All were a very good standard and tasy. To top it off for dessert I had the winter blossom which I’d recommend. Was very cool that it came with the fog effect. Would recommend.”

“Chinese/Asian shop offering a large variety of products. I went to get food for a hot pot at home and came out with many more products than you would get in a hot pot restaurant. Huge selection of tofu, dumplings, noodles. Price is reasonable compared to other Asian shops nearby. It's very spacious too.”

“The food is always incredible here- flavourful, perfect temperature and full of fresh ingredients. Never had a bad experience with them. They were also kind enough to inform my partner that a dish we had ordered and he had gone to pick up wasn't vegan safe and kindly offered to make us an alternative without charging us!”

“It’s wonderful to have well spiced and steaming hot Singaporean style rice noodles on a chilly evening. It’s of such a generous portion, definitely value for money. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The taste is authentic, surely helps with my homesickness.”

“I came just before the 5pm rush. It was very quiet here at the terminal, a moment of peace and quiet after a busy day. 5-10 mins after I ordered my food, it was ready and some of the fastest Asian food service I've had so far. Plus the food was banging, no extra salt or seasoning needed, twas bursting with flavour. Thank you.”

“Been a regular for 3+ years. Always go here for my takeaway as it's quite cheap compared to other places and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Really like their sweet and sour and honey chilli chicken. If you are thinking of ordering from here, I reccomend ordering from their own app "orient" as it's much cheaper than just eat and you get a discount.”

“First visit to this restaurant after a recommendation by friends Arrived without a reservation and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, needed table back in 1hr 20mins and that was fine because service was super quick Food was freshly cooked, hot and quite tasty although we weren’t overly impressed with the quality of the meat in the beef and black bean & the fillet steak Cantonese! Unfortunately I’ve had better many times so probably wouldn’t rush back. Nice enough but I do think there are better Chinese restaurants”

“We went here on a Saturday lunch and I cannot recommend enough. We had to wait 15mins for a table but it didn’t feel like long. The food choice is amazing there is everything to choose from. We shared lots of different meals as there were four of us. We had a cheesy garlic bread, the most outstanding burgers, muscles that were super fresh and the best salt and pepper chicken. 10/10 recommend, really nice friendly relaxed atmosphere, could have stopped all day. Food portions are massive and filling, so worth the price.”
