“First time I’d been here - won’t be the last! Fantastic food, had King Prawn Szechuan and Singapore vermicelli - absolutely delicious. Parking outside and great service from the staff. Will definitely be back in 2026.”
“Great local Chinese takeaway. I walked in and ordered, the food was ready in less than 15 minutes. I had beef and rice - it was yummy and a big portion! Will be coming back”
“Excellent northern china food - owner were from Koreans autonamy area of China and their food reflect the culture/identify. Would recommend for anyone that is looking for Chinese food that is based on unami favor; they also do sweet and sour/hot and spicy but it's the traditional northern Chinese food that shines.”
“Best chinese in CV10 id say myself. Cheap an full of flavour :)”
“Second order and I have to say the service here is great. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They will make something on request and advise to help you choose. The food is always delightful and speedy too. Definitely our new preferred Chinese. :-)”
“Can never fault anything they cook always tastes amazing and I really do eat as much as I can! Lots of variety of food & reasonable price. Really nice staff very welcoming. Tables/toilets are always clean.. I've been coming here for years since they opened I believe in 2010.”
“We always enjoy the food from the Oriental Express. We've tried other local takeaways, and always return here. I think that speaks for itself.”
“I went here with my teammates after a lovely win against our rivals HP . I was extremely disappointed when the waiter boy whacked our manager mr Hart over the head with a spring role . Also a rat climbed into my mouth and later that week the remains came out of the ‘other end’. Also I heard the cries of a little boy begging for help . Other than that it was absolute limbs , lovely food .”
“Wing wah for me has the best Asian food spread in the West Midlands! Lots of different options to choose from and food as tasty as ever! It is a journey from the heart of Coventry town centre but it is totally worth it and always a treat when we visit! They also offer a high chair for younger children.”
“As always the food from oriental star was top notch, the portions are very generous and exceptionally tasty..the service is very quick, you can order to collect and it can be ready as soon as you want..and overall it is fantastic 5⭐️ I order chicken chow mein dry, one with satay sauce on top and chef special fried rice .”
“Came Thursday evening. Nice quiet and tucked away. Manager was very welcoming and ran through the menu with recommendations. Tried hand pulled noodles of beef and chicken. Medium heat was perfect and hot was a kick but not a killer. The dumplings were wonderful. Crispy on one side and soft on the other. Very pleasant meal and worth the money 100%”
“I've eaten 'in and out' all over the world in lots of nice restaurants and takeaways, I can confidently say this is with out doubt the best food of this kind I've ever had ! Service is always great from Ed and the team. Fully recommend.”
“Yummy! The food has ‘wok hey” which is rarely found in UK! Highly recommend if you are nearby!”
“Good small shop with Eastern European food”
“Some of the best food you can find in Coventry City Centre. Everytime I visit I try a different meal and they all taste amazing. Spicy Beef and Katsu Chicken are my favourites, but even the pork and fish dishes are brilliant too and all dishes are reasonablypriced. I've not tried the octopus balls yet but it's on my list.”
“Adoro o atendimento desse lugar, o pessoal é muito simpático. E eles têm muita variedade, inclusive de ingredientes utilizados em receitas brasileiras!! Recomendo”
“Despite growing up in the area this was my first "proper" time at The George and, have to say, first impressions were very good. Light, bright decor inside with plenty of seating options, including a dedicated dining area for meals and a spacious beer garden. Good atmosphere inside, with relaxing selection of background music that wasn't so loud as to be intrusive. Service was brilliant throughout, from the bright, friendly greeting on our arrival to the attentive staff looking after us during meal. Food allergy advised at time of booking was reiterated by the staff when taking our orders, which was reassuring. And, on the subject of the meal, the food was excellent - good portion sizes, very tasty and reasonably priced too. Everyone in our group was very happy with what they had. Would definitely recommend and, although we don't really get out much, we'll definitely be back.”
“The best Chinese I've had in Cov so far and they take card too. They're sweet and sour chicken balls are particularly good.”
“Suh a good place for Asian food. Warm and cozy place. Friendly staff. Me and my family got the buffet on weekends night. Valued price and food. Delicious food and drink. Will back again”
“First time to Been. Didn't expect the foods are delicious and nice presentation. One pound, more expensive than other Chinese buffers in the surrounding area but what I said it's worthy for money because of the food served. At least 20 overs starter of choice and one my favourites batter-fried king prawn. Highly recommended to try.”
“Very fresh fruit and vegetables and delivery fast”
“Lovely Chinese takeaway. Only one iv every used in rugby. Portions are excellent. Staff are lovely. Quality of the food is amazing.”
“Really lovely meal from here tonight. I had a mixed veg curry, the tub was completely packed so I had half of it to save for another day. I like that you can add or takeaway things and also that you can make it spicy. It was really tasty. Hubby had the Singapore fried rice, which you can also make extra spicy. Not the best he’s ever had but still pretty nice. It arrived well before the ETA which was nice. Will definitely be ordering again”
“Our ‘go to’ Chinese takeaway. Normally takes 10-15 minutes, rarely ever longer. Food always good, and they’ve only got an order wrong once in many years of using the place. It’s worth noting it’s cash only. The nearest cash point is at the nearby Co-op.”
