   Honestly we order from new river every time we get a Chinese takeaway, the lady who takes the phone call it’s so nice, really polite always smiling. However the man on the phone is SO RUDE. Ordered from there tonight, he’s got an awful attitude, huffing and puffing when I asked him to re read what I have ordered and the just hung up as soon as he told me the price, don’t give me a chance to say my name for the order or what time I will be collecting. There’s really no need. But apart from that the food is lovely always up to a good standard.

   Used to be really good, but gone downhill lately. Deliveries consistently late and food not up to the same quality it once was. Particularly unhelpful over 0hone too.

   Terrible ordered food and come with an item missing when we called they said we were basically lying and they had definitely put the item in. then was told to go and collect it but we had paid for delivery when asked for a refund was told I would have to go down and pick up the cash from them. Awful customer service was spoken to very rudely on the phone! Never ordering from here again!

   Ordered food online with delivery and received all my food other than sweet and sour sauce so I called them and explained but was met with rude staff calling us liars, rowdiness between the workers on the phone and making it extra difficult just to bring back the sweet and sour sauce which was their own fault. They also said that if would’ve wanted a refund we would’ve had to go to the shop and “pick it up ourselves” despite us paying for delivery.

   normally go to New Garden, but was told about the share box so thought i would give it a go. paid £14.50 for a salt and pepper share box and a curry sauce. Absolutely disgusting! took over an hour 1/2 for delivery when was told 45 minutes. I had to ring up New River was put on hold for 5 minutes to be told it’s on its way. Food was cold, greasy and portion size was very poor for what you paid for. 2 chicken balls, 2 ribs, 2 chicken bits and hand fall of chips. The curry sauce i paid extra for was probably the nicest thing that came hot and tasty !!! had to reheat our food before eating ! would not recommend this take away at all. i will be sticking to New Garden always… really disappointed!

   So after repeating my order to the very rude and uncooperative child taking my call 4 times it still arrived incorrect. Then when asking for a refund on all of my meals which were untouched she agreed over the phone and then when the driver arrived refused and sent back the one order that was wrong although id already gone on to cook my family a meal for our dinner. I had then asked to speak to a managed to which she denied and then asked for her nsme to file a complaint also refused. Not only this their delivery driver is dragging around her 4 year old son on deliveries gone 9 oclock.. pure shambles

   They are not trustworthy. I ordered soup, chicken dish, noodles and veg fried rice and specified no mushroom in any of it. The girl who took the order was asked if she recorded our request or not. The food had mushrooms in it which got my friend an allergic reaction and bruised her throat from inside. After getting her medication, next evening when I called the takeaway and explained the situation to the girl. She was very rude and lied that we never said anything about mushroom. I asked her to apologize as my friend could have had sever allergic reaction, she said no. I asked for a refund, she accused me of being a scammer. When I asked I want to talk to your owner she said she dosent know who the owner is and that she is only working part time and is new. Seem All rubbish to me. To the owner of the business, Please apologize for this carelessness here openly for the above. Based on your reponse, we will then consider whether to pursue this legally or not. We were not after your money. 25 odd pounds will not make us rich!
