The ambience has a beautiful blend of Japanese and Korean vibes, and the service is just as impressive. The staff are warm, friendly, and very accommodating. Definitely one of the must-visit restaurants when you’re in Cheltenham!”

“The experience at Zen Thai is incredible. We come most years on our annual trip to Somerset and the food is just outstanding. The service is also incredible, from everyone there but particularly Spencer. You really feel like there is real effort and care put into everything.”

“100% recommended! Visited there for a lunch of a Sunday with 8 friends. The place was very well kept and the ambiance was quite nice. There were a lot of food and beverage options. Staff was very kind and attentive and the food arrived within around 15 minutes after ordering. All the dishes we tried were very good and had distinctive Flavours. Portion sizes were very filling too! Clean toilets, ample space, choice of seating etc. Would not hesitate to go there again”

“I have been to this restaurant now on two occasions. I have travelled from Cardiff on both occasions and I can tell you that it is worth every mile of the journey. The food is absolutely delicious, divine and out of this world. The tastes and attention to detail with every dish are very impressive. The warmth, decor and ambience are first class. I made a suggestion to Juliana (multi-talented waitress who also takes great pics) that some bread would go well with the seafood platter and this was implemented on the second visit. The chef, Marcia, grew up in Brazil and her take on seafood dishes and Thai dishes is very unique. She has magic in her hands. I would highly recommend the seafood platter and Tom Yum dishes. Ask for spicy versions and enjoy. I would come here every week if I lived closer. Keep up the good work guys.”

“Tapas & cocktails... We popped in for a beer and ended up staying for the excellent tapas & cocktails, again! Great staff who know what they're doing and look after you. just beware it can get a little loud in the bar when youngsters are in for the cocktails, there is a restaurant area that's quieter tho.”

The food was good and the staff were very friendly. It was a nice and chilled vibe and a very relaxing experience. This place is good for a meal for two or even a meal for the family. “This was a yo sushi first for my 6 & 8 year old boys. My 8 year old does not eat a wide variety of food, so my partner and I thought we were in for a challenging evening. But we were wrong! The Bento boxes were a hit! We also tried some of the kids bento box and it was nice. Our food (California rolls and lots of other dishes) was excellent. However most notable to our meal was the service! Aedan was caring and tended quickly to our order of drinks and food. The manager was very friendly and spent time with our kids at the end of the meal. The kids loved the attention and the meal. A great meal. Thanks to Aedan and the manager, much appreciated, we will be back!”

“This is a lovely place. The owner/chef is so sweet. He serves with a lot of warmth and love. The food is very tasty. It's basic but healthy. Also, they have special Japanese sauce that the chef makes. I have never tasted anything like it.”

We tried a mix of dishes including Pad Thai, Paneng, Beef Massaman and Thai Green curry and they were all piping hot, delicious and full of flavour. Liaised with Adam who was extremely helpful, friendly and went out of their way to provide food for 21 people. “This is one of my favourite places to eat in Stroud. Best noodle soup in town by far. Authentic food, attentive service and chilled atmosphere. Sichuan heat is perfectly balanced in the spicier options. There's also has an impossibly large range of bubble teas (warm or cold). Can't fault this place.”

“Update: came again, had the octopus balls which were 5/5 and katsu pork ramen 5/5 - crunchy tasty yum yum. Cute place, nice decor and music. Easy to get lost watching the cooking mama-esque video they play. Service good. Got complimentary but hot nuts so beware. Now food: Had the bao buns - 4/5 we liked them but kinda gave burger vibes which we weren't expecting - think it's the iceberg lettuce. Nice and crispy though and good taste. Mains- boyf had sizzling house special with crispy noodles which he enjoyed.4/5 I had the seafood ramen 5/5 - seafood was nicely cooked, not overdone at all. Good portions for both. We had the two desserts- both good, you can mix and match flavours which was good. 4/5”
