“i love this little asian store, great prices and the staff are really friendly. although it's not that close to me, i'm always more than happy to take the trip to it!”
“Food and drink 7/10 Service 7/10 Decor and atmosphere: 7/10 Service speed 7/10 Cost 6/10 The best: Japanese food in a pub.. What?! The worst: gets loud and crowded. The lowdown: Maybe it's me getting old, but it gets pretty busy in this small establishment. Ordering food can be a nightmare as you order at the bar. Food is great but on the expensive side for the serving sizes. It's a great experience but won't be running back any time soon.”
“One of the most authentic Korean restaurants in Bristol owned by a lovely couple. Wonderful service and amazing food. We ordered the bibimbap and mandugguk and would definitely pay a visit again.”
“The best Ramen we have ever had! So tasty, full of flavour and generally delicious. We also had the chicken and it was incredible. Staff were really friendly as well. I’d agree they did bring the bill while I still had half my drink left, but didn’t rush us out at all.”
“Always perfect service from the staff on the kiosk! Me and my other half have been buying from them for years, better tasting and better presented than every other sushi kiosk in other supermarkets! The staff member named Rosie has always greeted us and has a little chat while she works always makes our days better aswell as making us the sushi that isn’t on display that day so we always leave happy! The forgotten ends is perfect for lower budget purchases aswell as giving you a bit of everything, even better that it supports a charity with its purchase too! We will continue to purchase from them and always look forward to our next visit!”
“Food was very good and proper portions. I would say it is good value for money... very good ambience... nice amd courteous staff... had a nice dining experience”
“Great food..we all enjoyed and appreciated that. Unfortunately they had an influx of 15 orders just prior to 7pm and couldn't cope with supplying on time the 7oclock deliveries. The two young ladies in front of shop were left somewhat exposed given some customer anger at delay...but we all got there on the end. They gave a couple of us a bottle of wine for the 30min delay ..and we really enjoyed the four different dishes of food..JG”
“A characterful manor and stunning gardens in Italianate style and stunning setting. Lunch in the smart indoor/outdoor restaurant was delightful, presented and served most professionally. We did not sample the equally smart café but it looked first-class. All this made for a great visit and birthday lunch, all for a modest entrance fee.”
“We love the food here, especially the bibimbap. It comes in a hot stone bowl with a wooden tray. The dishes in general feel very authentic. Options range across various Asian cuisine including the drinks. The Korean offerings are by far my favourite.”
“It was really clean and a good selection of food. It was my first time and Rebecca was really helpful in explaining how it all works. She was a breath of fresh air and gave me some good tips. I’ll definitely come back.”
“What a great experience! My husband and I decided to eat lunch here and it was so delicious, the food, atmosphere and shop layout gave us an authentic dining experience. The food was made to perfection, nice a healthy and hearty. We enjoyed it so much that we were so close to having it again that day for dinner!”
“I came across Wai Yee Hong supermarket during the long lockdown. The website is user friendly and it has an excellent choice of provisions (some of it are not available elsewhere). Goods are well packaged, recyclable and delivery is quick and prompt. Reasonable courier charges.”
“Food so good I’m not sure they haven’t flown it in daily. The kimchi and the pickled mushrooms on the banchan genuinely made me tear up a bit. We’re so lucky to have this place. Honestly, I’m a little upset my favourite spot is blowing up.. but really, the whole team deserves it. Thank you for so many incredible meals ♥️”
“We didn't call in to the cafe but the building is lovely and the location speaks for itself.”
“Love Street Wok. Great for takeout and we’ve booked for a birthday, where we were virtually giving the whole room to ourselves. Always great service and very tasty food. Good value and simple l, but adequate menu. Well run and friendly service. You can park on the roads around or cheekily in the garage across the road and they are always quick with takeout service. Recommend. A definite hangover go to.”
“Really enjoyed the sushi, okonomiyaki and takoyaki I ordered. Pleasantly surprised as it is located in Keynsham rather than central Bristol. Definitely recommended!”
“Very tasty food with reasonable price. Friendly and great service too. I ordered tempura udon and it came with 3 x prawn tempuras and 3 x pieces maki on the side for £11, great value. Enjoyed roast duck with rice for takeaway too. Highly recommended for quick lunch.”
“Ordered takeaway while very sick. Not only was the food lovely and exactly what I needed - they gave me some free Miso soup!!! So kind of them and helped me feel much better ♥️ definitely the place to go if you want a comfort meal”
“Craving great tasting Japanese Bar food and a delicious small plate experience? Seven Lucky Gods serves it up best. Every dish was packed with exquisite Japanese flavours. The Sichuan Fried Cauliflower small plate was delicious, and the service service was very good too. Accessibility Rating ♿️ as there is a flight of stairs to access the restaurant.”
“I’m not usually the biggest fan of Chinese food, but my partner loves it, so we gave Hao Wei a try, and I’m so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavour, fresh, and seriously satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s now become a firm favourite for us and part of our go-to hangover cure routine. Highly recommend giving it a try, even if Chinese isn’t normally your first choice, you might be surprised like I was!”
“Fantastic service- greeted by Sam and sat in a booth to accommodate my wife’s guide dog. Informative , helpful and lively kind service. New lunch menu is a winner. Lovely chicken ramen and beef salad. Proper nice treat for a birthday and absolute bargain. Tasty full flavour food. Great music playing in restaurant too. Clean and well presented throughout. wagamana a few years ago got dull but they have raised the game and back to being great! Thank you guys great lunch and amazing service throughout.”
“I hope the manager who’s reading this knows that the real asset of this Restaurant is definitely his/her staff! I had initially thought I would eat at Rosa’s Thai however the prices are ridiculous but I really fancied something hot and spicy! My chilli chicken was delicious and plentiful in fact I hardly ate any of the rice. My taro bubble tea was the best I’ve had in ages, but as I said the star of the show was the really friendly and helpful young lady behind the counter.”
“Tried this restaurant recently off the back of recommendations and gladly can say I was not disappointed and I’m sure you wouldn’t be either! A very authentic and homely feel to the restaurant, warm and quiet spot with quirky basement vibe. We ordered both set menu B and C because why not! 4 us ate here and we had more than enough good food. I’ll talk over some of my highlights from the set menus, my favourite overall was certainly the sweet and sour chicken, crispy yet tender with real sweet and sour flavour running through out the dish pack a real punch and depth of flavour which just kept making you want to eat more and more. Other hits on menus were - king prawns in ginger and spring onions, beef in black bean sauce, aromatic crispy lamb pancakes and mention to the mixed starts, ribs were succulent and juicy, and satay chicken was perfect. Overall some really nice dishes, not full of oil or greasy like a take away, really flavourful and thought out dishes, not a massive menu here and the dishes they do they really know about. Nothing bad to say about this spot and I would rate this visit a solid 8/10! Will return that’s for sure!”
“Had Sunday lunch there beginning of February. Very nice. Plenty on the plate and well cooked. Really good value. Food and the Drinks. will definitely be returning soon. PROPER”
“First time ordering. Great value for money and we got free prawn crackers and a 2L drink with our order for spending £50! Result! Great quality food will order again”
“Clean and tidy, great host, fantastic Japanese breakfast of Rice and Miso. Easy to deal with, flexible. What all B&B experiences should be like. Perfect place to stay if going to Bath races, 5mins in a taxi.”
“The food is fanatically fresh and tasty, but just remember they are a small establishment so wait times can be long when busy (3.5 hours on valentines day) but we'll worth the time they even gave us back our delivery money and a free item for the extra delays we faced can not falt them at all will be back just might collect next time”
“Delicious food, warm environment and friendly staff.”
“Food there was so unique delicious, I had never tried anything like it! I will definitely be back and recommend it to friends. Cocktails were also very unique and delicious. We went there quite late for dinner time, which perhaps is what made the service a bit slow. When it went past 9pm the place became more of a bar vibe with louder music and low lights, which was fun for us but if that’s not your vibe I’d recommend going there earlier. Yet to try their breakfast/brunch but for dinner I’d recommend this place which is an excellent addition to Gloucester rd!”
“Fantastic and authentic. The best Japanese ramen in Bristol. Highly recommend the fired chicken as starter. Will definitely give another try!”
