The restaurant looks a little run down and could do with some TLC. The service was good. The food was nice, but the spice levels are much higher than advertised. I’m quite a seasoned eater when it comes to spices, but this was very hot even for me. The rice was of a good consistency. The portions could do with being larger for the price that you pay.
First time here! Good selection of hot dishes available with a choice of different bases (rice, noodles, etc.) I chose the white rice with the chilli chicken, which was delicious and generously portioned! I was tempted by a number of other dishes so next time I would go for the mixed option. Very good, I will definitely be back!
I hope the manager who’s reading this knows that the real asset of this Restaurant is definitely his/her staff! I had initially thought I would eat at Rosa’s Thai however the prices are ridiculous but I really fancied something hot and spicy! My chilli chicken was delicious and plentiful in fact I hardly ate any of the rice. My taro bubble tea was the best I’ve had in ages, but as I said the star of the show was the really friendly and helpful young lady behind the counter.
I love going to Kokoro as the staff are friendly. However, the food can be so hit and miss! If you don’t get the noodles fresh they can be quite dry, so I always go for rice instead. They have been over packing the rice recently and leaving only a small section for the main section of choice! Another thing is the Katsu Salad, twice now they have been out of the ingredients it should contain!!! My salad was just a bottom filled with carrot!!! No salad at all. They hid this by putting more chicken. Don’t put out a product if you don’t have what it should contain! Been a little disappointed recently.
Amazing value for money with a variety of hot food, cold foods and sides. Ordered a regular Pumpkin Katsu and Salmon selection. They were very generous with the pumpkin katsu (massive portion size), had to take it away to finish. Staff were happy and helpful. Came just after lunch time so wasn't too busy but lots of seating areas and not too crowded.
Really nice restaurant - fantastic for those wanting a nice warm place to eat during lunchtime. I’ve tried everything on the menu and it’s all just so delicious, not to mention great value for money right now! The staff are all so incredibly thoughtful and hard-working, providing excellent customer service.

The fried prawns delicious, especially for the formula take 3 and 1 is for free. I had too high expectation for the sushi, that I can judge 7/10, was good but not excellent. The service 10/10.
We thought we would try this new sushi restaurant on Deliveroo as it's quite new in Cheltenham and we love sushi. In comparison to the usual sushi places such as Yo Sushi, I would say Kokoro was better on a few levels. We had the Kokoro sushi platter, spicy pork with noodles, chicken katsu curry, gyoza and spring rolls. The sushi platter was as expected. Good, similar to Yo but a couple of extra things in there. The spicy pork was hot, I loved it. Wasn't able to finish it as it's big and want sure what to expect portion size. Same with the katsu curry, my girlfriend loved it but couldn't finish it. My girlfriend loves Yo's fried chicken gyoza, so it was going to be tough to beat. These steamed gyoza are cold! So I expected she wouldnt like them. She loved them! I tried them too and they are good. In terms of takeaway sushi in Cheltenham, it's a new favourite. Definitely worth trying Actually one negative, there was plastic in the packaging. Most companies these days use paper bags, most things are recyclable. But there was thick plastics bags, and unnecessary plastic packaging for some of the food. Would be good to change this.
