“I was in the city for a short break with my girlfriend, and we stumbled upon this restaurant around 10 PM. The décor and design immediately caught my eye, and the lounge music created a sexy atmosphere. The service was excellent. The manager explained the menu to us, and we had our meal set up quickly. The drink options and cocktails were amazing. They had a unique twist on classic cocktails that still maintained the essence of their original recipes. I tried the spicy margarita, which was fantastic, and I enjoyed it so much I had five rounds! My partner preferred fruity and sweeter cocktails, so she tried three different ones, all of which she loved. The food was clearly made with love and passion. If you're looking for authentic Asian food in Southampton, this is the place to go. The spices and sauces were perfectly balanced. We ended the night on a high note, staying until the restaurant closed. On a separate note, if you're looking for more privacy, they also offer a private”

“Great food and very friendly service! I had the chicken rice stone bowl, which was absolutely delicious. It was served hot (and stayed hot in the stone bowl through the whole meal), with fresh vegetables, tender chicken and had just the right amount of sauce. My wife had the beef ramen soup which was equally tasty - I had to sample it several times! Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!”

Everything is freshly prepared with great care. You can truly feel that each dish is made with love and a deep respect for Japanese tradition. The fish is fresh, the flavours are balanced, and the variety is impressive, especially for such an intimate restaurant. The space is calm, clean, and thoughtfully organised. It’s run by a lovely couple who are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stand out. My partner and I ordered the summer roll, salmon hoso maki, black tiger roll maki (my partner’s favorite), Philadelphia roll (my favorite), tuna and salmon sashimi. The prices are fair and more than worth it for the quality you receive. It’s the kind of hidden gem you stumble upon and immediately want to share with everyone. They have great vegan options, some of which aren’t on the menu so be sure to ask! Extremely reasonably priced for such high quality sushi. “Came here for lunch and I was completely blown away! Situated outside of the main town, this gem of a place was a really great find. Quality of ingredients was superb, especially the salmon. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend the peking duck roll, eel unagi & salmon nagiri. The menu has a ton of items so be prepared to be overwhelmed at first! There’s something for everyone. “I highly recommend Bento! The atmosphere is cosy, and the staff team is always friendly and welcoming. Their Yaki Udon, Salmon Futomaki, and Swiss rolls are must tries. Their drinks menu is also impressive, with refreshing options that perfectly complement the meal. Whether you are in the mood for a fruity tea or a creamy milk-based drink, there is something for everyone. BTW I really love their Tiramisu Swiss rolls ❤️❤️❤️. “First of all I would rate the food. It is freshly made with quality fish and produces. And you can tell that it is made by a single person in the kitchen and served you at the same time. That alone is one of a kind that is really hard to find in the UK. He mainly serves the students around the area, very friendly. I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has been one of the best sushi I have eaten. The price is definitely on the cheaper side given how good it was. If you just want a unique experience, a homely setting, a regular and familiar sight of asia cultural then this is where you want to go. The place isn't very big and isn't made for big parties so is more suitable for table of 6 or less I would say. And expect the food to come out not as quick as there is only one person serving. I will be here often :)”
