Although we only had a couple of the pasta dishes, we could have chosen anything off the menu and it would have been succulent I feel. “Staple Hill's best kept secret. No pretentious frills, just great tasting food in a chilled friendly space. All the tapas we tried were incredibly tasty, served fresh and hot. “An amazing place with extremely tasty fresh food and a great selection of craft beer. We had dinner one night then went for breakfast the next day and kept coming back. After trying a few other places in Portishead, this is definitely our favorite. Our kids loved it as well.”

Great if you have kids as there's a box full of toys. Also great if you want a coffee and to watch the world go by, or even a cheeky beer. I love this place.”

“Fabulous little restaurant which serves fantastic food and great wines & beers. We booked a lunchtime slot and it didn’t disappoint. Homemade spaghetti dish for mains and scallops to start, both absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and atmosphere, the most lovely and friendly staff and the owner is very accommodating and stops to have a chat with his customers. We did stop a couple of evenings for drinks only and that was very pleasant too. The amount of people turned away at the door without a booking was frequent, I’d definitely recommend booking online if you want to dine. On our list of restaurants to revisit next time we’re in Bristol.”

No scrimping on the rum, a very good free pured measure and all the extra garnishs and show with it, it was busy but that is to be expected with a propper cocktail making, it isnt quick and is well worth it.”

“This is a great venue, it's such a beautiful building. Ideal for a variety of events. A lot of the original features remain, or have been replaced like for like. Much of the original brickwork, and flooring remain throughout the building. The modern meets historical vibe works well for this venue. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Bar staff, reception, front of house, ushers, all make the space feel so welcoming. The lift might have been out of order, but they have a series of contingency plans, and everyone is able to access the venue. A lovely night was had, when 3 of us came to see Rosie Jones. (She was as fabulous as ever) A special shout out to Rowan who was so helpful from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. There were several sets of toilets: Gender neutral Male Female Disabled I used the gender neutral toilets, and as I suspected, was absolutely fine! These toilets are great for single parents and carers of opposing genders, who may need to enter the space. Or, rather bizarrely, someone like me who just needed the loo! More spaces should consider installing gender neutral loos.”

“Very friendly club. Some tight narrow fairways, but the greens are very good. Generally drains well, so more often than not the course tends to be open throughout the year. And I got a hole in one. Nothing to do with me, it's all down to the course and helpful professionals!”
