“Despite all the brilliant reviews, I had an impression that this would be a slightly cheesy place because of the name and all the ‘coq’ puns. I couldn’t have been more wrong! It’s a very cool, intimate atmosphere with vibey music and lovely staff. The food was incredible - both the veggie and chicken options - and generous portions. We didn’t have room for pudding so took home a little tiramisu, which is also homemade. Super impressed, and we will be regulars - but please please open a branch in Devizes :-)”
“Staple Hill's best kept secret. No pretentious frills, just great tasting food in a chilled friendly space. All the tapas we tried were incredibly tasty, served fresh and hot. The cod and asparagus was sublime, just cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, definitely has a family run feel. Highly recommended.”
“Yesterday I went for lunch with my family to Bouvardia Restaurant for Sunday dinner. The decor was beautiful, it felt very peaceful there. The waiters were very polite and friendly and gave us recommendations. We were delighted the quality of the food (was told they use local produce and the menu that changes with the seasons) - my son said the beef ravioli was so good that he wants to come and have it everyday! The chicken was one of the most tender and tastiest I have had in a very long time Half way through our meal we were already saying we need to come back for dinner to try the regular menu! Quite surprised most people we told about have not heard about it, a true hidden gem in Bath!”
“Had their today’s special was really lovely. Just a reminder that the portions are quite big if you don’t usually eat a lot they do serve small portions (some of the items) Staff are very friendly and food served quite quickly.”
“I went to Wilson’s yesterday evening for my birthday And the staff were phenomenal! So lovely, friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The food and wine pairings were excellent, can’t wait to return!”
“Incredible! Went for our anniversary... and it was superb! We've been to Michelin Star Restaurants before that haven't even come close to Muse... 4 cocktails, 5 dishes, plus a bottle of wine, everything a delight with complete attention to detail. They also chucked in a Amuse-bouche and when they realised it was our anniversary a surprise sweet dish at the end... pictured. Go Here!”
“A fabulous independent family run traditonal French Restaurant (actually run by a French family), which puts many of the so called French inspired restruant to shame. We ordered from the set lunchtime menu (two or three courses), which was good value with two choices for each course & freshly prepared. I would definitely recommend & also suggest you book ahead as the restruant was close to full when we arrived.”
“Well, what a restaurant. I would implore you to visit. The food is fabulous. More importantly the service is wonderful. We came for lunch and spent nearly 2 hours talking to the owners and staff ans more importantly tasting lovely food. At £35 for 3 courses, an absolute steal.”
“One of my favorite meals in England!! So delicious! Owners were friendly and service was exceptional. Food was fresh and so tasty. Go eat there!!”
“Authentic Italian food and wine. We enjoyed a lovely lunch. £95 for 5 pax approx. Great location. Parking not available”
“Very enjoyable meal at this local winner. Great food and service from a family restaurant that’s been here for a while. Nice location too by the bridge & castle for an after dinner walk.”
“From the minute we arrived, the waiter made us feel so welcome. All the staff were very friendly and funny. The food was incredible - pizza and pasta alike - and the atmosphere was really buzzing. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting authentic and great value Italian cuisine with brilliant service.”
“Such a lovely restaurant, food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and accommodating”
“Came in quite late and Louis was out server. He made sure we still got top tier service and really put in the extra effort to be friendly even though it was quite busy. The food was good and the cocktails were even better! Shout out to Louis he really made our experience special.”
“Loved the experience. The menu is carefully crafted and very interesting. I particularly appreciated the breadth of gluten free and GFOA options. Staff is kind and accommodating. A must-visit when in Bath :)”
“It's our go to restaurant for steak even though we're not local to it it's worth the trip. Always melt in the mouth steak. Puddings are good too, have had the Creme brûlée and the rice pudding. Big portions and good flavours.”
“Amazing food! I had the scallops, then duck, and then the chocolate ganache to finish - all dishes were very delicious and cooked well. The cheese board also has a great selection of cheeses, and they give you a mountain of crackers. The staff were also lovely and attentive. Will definitely be recommending this restaurant to everyone!”
“Great food and service. We shared the King Prawn appetizer. I had their Chicken Casserole dish and my spouse the Mutancana. Both are signature dishes and they did not disappoint.”
“On my way to Celtic manor I stopped in for breakfast. They have and excellent selection of breakfast and brunch items. It was delicious and the service and atmosphere was pleasant. I would believe there pizzas are great too based on the wood fire oven. Definitely would recommend”
“Easy to miss from the outside, and not much to see on the inside, the whole focus of Casa is on food and service. And both are fantastic, I must say. We went for the 65GBP menu, and by then end of it where neither hungry nor disappointed. Expect plenty of food, and the dish quality was fantastic all through the meal. My favourite was probably the lion mane mushroom in panko and the sirloin, but honestly, there weren't any weak dishes.”
“My favourite place to eat in Bristol, generous portions, delicious food and great friendly staff. If you’re looking to eat here for the first time, go for the gyros plate 10/10”
“Wonderful atmosphere. Attentive, informative and kind service from Ellie. My first time trying Greek food and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter is a fussy eater and was eating hers and my food! A very welcome restaurant to Kingswood. We will be back, thank you! X”
“Greeted with friendly staff , food served promptly. Food was fresh and hot Eveything was delicious , ordered more than we thought we could eat due to the portion sizes. Had to pack away food as it was too good to waste. Can’t really complain apart from the lack of parking available near by.”
“Exquisite Experience and food lives here. Menu was a valentine menu which might be different from the norms. As a gourmet, I cannot fault all of the food and service that was served to me during my time here. Traveled 1hr30min to dine here and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I shall be back and I deeply recommend.”
“We booked the Olive Tree for a family celebration for 28 people. The food and service was excellent throughout. The whole of the downstairs was reserved for us. We had a number of special requests including a member of the group who was severely coeliac. The attention to detail from Louise and Petra to ensure that all requirements were met was excellent. The food was high quality and the meal was good value for money. I would recommend the Olive Tree without hesitation.”
“Visited on a busy Saturday night and was blown away by the quality of the food and great service. As a vegetation the fixed menu was great with a good couple of options for starter and main. All of which were delicious and the wine selection is terrific and well priced. Great value and highly recommended.”
“Hotel is excellent, rooms emaculate, so clean. Every detail taken care of beautiful soap, shampoo and conditioner. Also, have hairdryer and straighteners which was brilliant. Staff absolutely wonderful. We also, went to Diner and food and service fabulous. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much”
“We booked a meal here and splashed out on the steak. Well it was our minimoon. For dessert a chocolate bomb each which was fantastic along with equally as good cocktails. Lovely staff, good surroundings and great atmosphere. Definitely go again when I'm in Bristol.”
“Lovely Afternoon Tea Experience in the Heart of Bath We visited this location for Afternoon Tea and had a really beautiful experience. We arrived around 2:30 PM and were lucky to catch a live piano concert, which added an elegant touch to the atmosphere. The standard Afternoon Tea menu was around £100 for two people, which felt fair considering the amount of food included. There is plenty to eat — definitely more sweet than savoury — but everything was fresh and nicely presented. The service was very kind and attentive, and the interior is absolutely charming. One of the highlights is the back rooms, where the walls display the history of the place and its connection to the Roman Baths. It’s actually linked to the Pump Room, and if you choose to visit the Pump Room and then the Roman Baths afterwards, you can skip the main queue, which is a great bonus. Overall, if you’re visiting Bath and want a traditional Afternoon Tea in a beautiful and historic setting, I definitely recommend this place.”
“We loved this place, food was great, cocktails were perfect, and staff were super friendly and attentive, especially our server Bella. Restaurant had a really good atmosphere and great decor. Highly recommend and we will be back!”
