I recently dined at The Circus in Bath and had a mixed experience. I ordered the steak, which unfortunately lacked flavour, and the truffle croquettes had no noticeable taste of truffle and were quite dry. The food overall still needs some refinement. However, the service was excellent — the two ladies serving us were warm, friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. Their hospitality really stood out and made the experience more enjoyable despite the disappointment with the dishes. With some improvements to the food, this could be a great dining spot, as the service is already brilliant.

This was a fantastic meal. The cost was reasonable and the atmosphere amazing. We had side iron steak, bread and leek fondue for starters with donuts. The dessert was apple pie. they made a lovely gesture as it was my birthday! Service was impeccable. Will defintely go back if I go back to Bath!!

We absolutely loved our visit to The Circus! Warm and friendly greeting from our waitress who was marvellous throughout our 2:5 hour long lunch with friends! The set lunch menu was incredible value at £38 for three courses and a glass of wine/soft drink. All the dishes were delicious and nicely presented. The location is lovely too - next to the beautiful circus of Georgian townhouses. It’s larger than it looks as there is a bigger dining section downstairs. Definitely book a table as it is popular. Can’t wait to return!

Loved the experience. The menu is carefully crafted and very interesting. I particularly appreciated the breadth of gluten free and GFOA options. Staff is kind and accommodating. A must-visit when in Bath :)

Good food, nice staff. We went for a 2 course menu, they have 2 vegetarian options as well. I had the mussels and the fish, incredibly big portions. For the vegetarian options, one of them was the flower courgette, which was tasty, but would say the dish is kind of small, just one courgette flower. All in all it was tasty and a good experience. Keep in mind that you will also have to pay a service fee per person, which is 4 pounds per person.

My favourite restaurant in the UK. The food is outstanding, the service could not be better. They catered very well for gluten free, providing gluten free bread with oil and vinegar whilst you wait for your starter. It’s good value for what you get, if I could give it more stars I would!

Perfection from start to finish. Food was delicious and fresh, accompanied by great wine and service from our lovely Italian waiter. We can’t wait to come back, especially for the chocolate and peanut fondant dessert! Thank you.

The flank steak I tried the first time on 26th September was perfectly cooked with crispy surface and medium inside, plating and side were fabulous too. the only feedback is to sustain food quality as I came back 2 weeks later and ordered the same food, the quality was still good and not as good as first time I had, the surface of flank steak is soft not sear enough. I hope they keep the quality for every visit. the pics was taken in my first visit.

This restaurant sits on top of the hill in the roundabout in the middle of Bath. Fairly accessible for parking as not many start up there. Food is good, steak was a little chewy but not bad for a strip and the chicken salad starter was good. Lack of variety in gin at the bar and wines are so so, most of them too young to enjoy. Overall great place.

I have been excited to leave this review since we ate here. Lovely and unique and just excellent! The pairings and textures and risks taken, they dance well and finish perfectly. I was impressed and moreover surprised at their ability to surprise my palette. Eating is much of what I do in a day and beyond. This is a standout gem with craft and care in the makeup and ingredient quality of these special dishes. I will always remember! If you’re in Bath I hope you’ll try it. Also we had an excellent white wine here, we took a photo of the bottle for later. Cheers!
