We almost cancelled our booking because of a recent review but we are so glad we went. The food was delicious and full of rich, balanced flavours (the pictures online really donβt do it justice). Every dish was beautifully presented, and both the vegetarian and meat options were packed with taste, creativity and quality. The team was professional, polite, and attentive, and the restaurant itself is stylishly decorated with a warm atmosphere. Having eaten in several Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, we can confidently say this restaurant deserves its star. The only slightly odd thing was the bread being served in the middle of the meal instead of at the beginning β but it was so good that we did not care about the choice of sequencing in the menu. We recommend this restaurant if you enjoy good food!

We booked a stay at the charming Queensbury Hotel during a visit to Bath last weekend, and thought it would be great to sample the only Michelin Star restaurant in the city, which is in the hotel. The restaurant is on the lowest floor bit is light and airy and tastefully decorated - though the lighting was a little too bright (especially the spots), for a cosy dinner and didn't flatter the presentation of the dishes unfortunately. We opted for the 5 course taster with a wine pairing. (We were already in the hotel, so no need to drive, do why not?). As expected the food was great with beautiful flavour combinations, perfectly executed. The wine pairing really added to the dishes, though the wine portions were a little meagre. The service was also great from a very young staff, though sometimes their presentation and descriptions of the dishes seemed over rehearsed and unnatural. But I'm sure confidence will shine through soon enough. All in all a very satisfying Michelin Star dining experience.

An instant favourite. Great food and service, spacious tables, lovely atmosphere. Reasonably priced for 2025: Β£70 for three courses. Interesting crab with tomato essence segued to amazing bread and clotted cream - I asked for a second helping. Lobster was so tender and fresh and raspberries were a great balance against the heavy food. Wine was Β£9 a glass. What a fantastic experience

My husband and I went for supper last weekend for our first wedding anniversary. We were seriously impressed on all counts, the food was inventive and delicious, the service was friendly but not intrusive and the chefs coming out to explain the dishes was a nice touch. We havenβt had a Michelin star meal of this calibre since Roots in York- in our opinion we finally found a restaurant to rival it. Truly an exceptional experience, donβt hesitate just book! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Michelin star restaurant. Innovative, flavorful. 7 course tasting menu was made gluten free. Each course was beautifully plated, with complex combination of flavors that was impressive and delicious. Highly recommend. For smaller appetites, I recommend choosing 3 or 5 course options.

I had the tasting menu and it was absolutely sublime. Every bite was an explosion of different flavours. I did however forget to take a picture of the strawberry dessert as i was so eager to try it. It deserves its Michelin star. It has the wonderful added touch of the chefs finishing the plate at your table and explaining the dish. I got to meet Chris at the end and it was clear he loves the food he puts out. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and were able to offer wine and coffee recommendations. It was an amazing evening. Next time I'm in Bath I will definitely be back.

Fantastic meal! I could eat the raw scallop every day until I die. Beautiful consideration for flavor and produce. The staff were incredibly lovely, and made me feel very welcome when I was dining alone. I got to meet Chris, an unexpected treat! Itβs not surprising the Olive tree is such a magical dining experience with such a lovely executive chef at the helm. Faultless experience, I will be back

We had lunch here twice and both times it was amazing! Incredible food with each dish having a unique flavor that surprised me. We both had the 4 course taster menu which was very filling! The raw Orkney scallop with a granny Smith apple granita was ridiculously good! As was the veal sweet bread! Excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being obtrusive. A great restaurant and a must visit if in Bath!

Best meal Iβve ever had! This restaurant was stellar and I would give 10 stars if I could! Amazingly inventive and creative, excellently executed. Loved the raw scallops, smoked eel, lamb and strawberry dessert. Canβt wait to come back here again whenever life brings me to Bath!

A mixture of some really nice dishes and some that were less exciting. For the price of things and reviews Iβd read, my expectations were quite high, but a couple of dishes didnβt quite hit the mark unfortunately. The lamb and fresh baked bread was delicious though - had to stop myself from licking the jus from my plate! I personally found that the restaurant decor and environment let things down slightly - it was pretty cold and clinical which didnβt make the meal feel overly special. The front of house staff were great though and definitely helped elevate the experience.
