A belated review, but one that truly deserves to be written. ✨ It has been two months since our visit, and yet whenever my husband and I talk about Bath, OAK is still one of the very first places we mention — with genuine admiration. We visited in early autumn, in September, to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it turned out to be such a memorable evening. The food was full of character and beautifully executed — modern British cuisine with a thoughtful, seasonal approach. Pumpkin featured prominently in the menu at the time, and it was handled with real creativity: from the comforting pumpkin soup to the roasted pumpkin paired with perfectly toasted hazelnuts, every bite was a delightful surprise. What made the evening even more special was the service. The staff were incredibly warm, gentle, and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for without ever being intrusive. It was an unforgettable birthday dinner, and a restaurant that clearly stays with you long after the meal is over. We will absolutely return the next time we’re in Bath.

The way food should be!! Just such an amazing lunch on our second and equally amazing visit. The menu was varied and interesting and really shows what plant based cuisine can be. The sourdough ice cream was interesting, not my personal preference, but really enjoyed getting to try it. Thanks all Also the bread is the best around!!

Lovely room, nice service. Sadly the food was really not good. The ravioli with smoked potato was tough, and the smokyness a weird flavour. The ricotta gnudi was very salty and sitting in a pond of melted butter, couldn’t eat more than a few bites. These two dishes plus a leaf salad was over £40 - wouldn't mind if it were good, but I left hungry. If you’re giving it a go then definitely order bread - hopefully thats a safe bet in case you also dislike the food.

Cute little place. Small portions and London prices but worth it if you like to try new things (we are not vegetarians). The bread and the artichokes were delicious. The ravioli were good too. Not a fan of the cauliflower stew and the cabbage (plus, the latter was messy to eat). The salad was quite meh. You'll need 2 1/2 or 3 plates per person. For parents: There is no nappy changing table but I'm not sure one would fit even if they tried, the bathrooms are tiny.

I may have had one of the best meals of my life today. Every. Single. Dish. Every one was perfect. Well balanced. This was a totally unexpected experience when it comes to the quality and flavor profiles. My only criticism, which now feels somewhat petty given the culinary experience, is they don’t do the five course meal option for single diners (it is meant for two or more). So, I created my own and they adjusted the bill and portion sizes accordingly. This was a pleasant surprise and I am glad they did because I would have felt awful to waste any of it. This place is a gem. Eat here. You wil not regret it.

I walked by Oak a few times and I was always skeptical but a friend suggested we visit spontaneously and I’m so glad we did! I found the staff to be so caring in a very subtle way without being overwhelming at all. The food was mind-blowing. TMI but I didn’t brush my teeth that evening because I wanted to keep the taste of the charred asparagus for as long as I can! The coffee was great and I asked for something for a replacement for the ice cream for dessert (it had alcohol and I’m pregnant) and it was a breeze to replace and was paired very nicely with something else! Overall a great experience and we’ll be back for sure!

Absolutely incredible from start to finish! I’ve walked past this restaurant a huge amount as I live in Bath but had never thought of going in, and I’m so glad I did. Lovely staff who greeted my mum and I and looked after us throughout the meal. The sparkling Sauvignon was very light and refreshing to compliment all of the dishes. We had a plethora of dishes as they recommend two to three each and each one was just as beautiful as the previous. Even the garden salad, from their kitchen garden, was to die for. I would and have thoroughly recommended this to friends and family to try, vegetarian or not!

First of all, I’m a full-on carnivore…however, the vegan dishes at Oak were absolutely delicious! Quirky interiors, great service, very interesting wine pairings and food to die for! The highlight by far was the smoked celeriac and apple soup - such an interesting flavour profile and absolutely delightful. The leeks and the artichokes were also exceptionally good. Couldn’t recommend enough.
