    Proper pub. Massive selection of lagers & ciders, friendly staff, cracking locals and brilliant pool culture (darts boards too). Loads of outdoor seating for warm days (shaded). No Sky/TNT sports shown, however it’s the sort of pub you don’t need it because everybody is open to a chat and a laugh. Only downside is that the male toilets are in need of a do over. Great pub, best in Keynsham & surrounding areas.

    We had a couple of pints in the right hand side bar on a Friday evening in November 2024. Busy but not too busy. Friendly atmosphere, locals all getting along. Best of the 4 pubs we visited in Keynsham that evening on the high street.

    The Trout has done a great job to improve their outside seating. A great vibe, good for gigs, a predominantly cider pub but at least one real ale always on draught.

    Over the years this place has got better and better. Great atmosphere and brilliant staff. It has massively improved since its old 'spit and sawdust' days. With a huge outside seating area it is definitely a go to place wether its just for a quick one (or a coffee) or a great night out
