Walked in the other night on Friday just to use the bathroom(bought a pack of peanuts before doing so, baring in mind I’ve been for a drink in this pub before) And as I’m walking towards the bathroom I notice a couple of dogs, one of which gets it’s tail stepped on by some drunk guy in front of me. The other dog (a Rottweiler) bites and grips onto my coat. At this point it lets go and I go to the bathroom. Coming back out I’m extremely nervous as I have to walk back past this dog, then after asking the clearly drunk dog owner if it’s safe too, in which he replies ‘yes you’ll be fine’ the dog bites my arm again, this time stronger. I then manage to get it to let go and leave immediately as im terrified at this point as I’m only small. Luckily due to it being cold I was wearing a thick coat which is what the dog gripped onto, but if I hadn’t I’d have probably had very serious injuries. Once this happens it’s as if everyone laughs it off. I’ve made a police report. If you’re a dog friendly pub, that’s great as im a dog lover- but that is a DANGEROUS dog. Thank god it was me and not a child and things weren’t worse. The worst part is the lack of empathy everyone seemed to have. Stay away from this pub if you dog wanna get bitten by a clearly uncontrollable animal. That dog deserves to be with owners that don’t bring it into that environment which it clearly was uncomfortable in. Won’t be visiting again.
