“We lucked into the most magical day on our Cotswolds tour with Chris as our guide! What to say? We were excited for it but the tour so exceeded even our most hopeful expectations. Chris brought us to several villages-- and on the fly curated the trip around our expressed interests and those of the additional guest (who was also an amazing human and like a friend by the end of the tour!). He is unbelievably knowledgable. But what sets Chris apart is the way he distills complex history into an understandable story that very quickly facilitates enhanced appreciation for the deep significance of these places beyond their obvious beauty. I took pages of notes and came away with an intense desire to learn more about the place and British history. As an added bonus, Chris is funny, witty, helpful, kind, and interested. He is passionate about history and traveling and that all just enhanced is story telling. It truly was an experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to Chris for that gift. On the more business like side-- pick up was prompt, van was great, water appreciated, tea and lunch spots authentic and wonderfully charming. “Clean and tidy, great host, fantastic Japanese breakfast of Rice and Miso. Easy to deal with, flexible. What all B&B experiences should be like. Perfect place to stay if going to Bath races, 5mins in a taxi.”

“Incredible Italian Deli in bath with an array of great ingredients as well as some amazing sandwiches made fresh right in front of you. So fresh that you can see them baking the bread before putting the toppings in it! I asked what they recommended and went with the number 3 which came with mortadella, pesto, burrata etc. It was delicious and I wish we had more places like this in Brighton.”

“Yesterday I went for lunch with my family to Bouvardia Restaurant for Sunday dinner. The decor was beautiful, it felt very peaceful there. The waiters were very polite and friendly and gave us recommendations. We were delighted the quality of the food (was told they use local produce and the menu that changes with the seasons) - my son said the beef ravioli was so good that he wants to come and have it everyday! The chicken was one of the most tender and tastiest I have had in a very long time Half way through our meal we were already saying we need to come back for dinner to try the regular menu! Quite surprised most people we told about have not heard about it, a true hidden gem in Bath!”

“What an amazing find, we ate early as pre theatre dinner and the waiting staff were fantastic at ensuring we made curtain up! The chef was wonderful, he took the time to tell us about the dishes, which just added to experience. The food was some of the best I've ever had, and whilst it is hard to pick a favourite, I can't speak highly enough of the ox tongue with gnocchi, it was divine. The sticky toffee pudding was simply the best I've ever eaten. Thankyou for a gorgeous dinner, we will be back.”

“Lovely traditional room. Great view. Special attentions for our dog, dog box (ball, treats, biscuits, poo bags), as well as a bed he loved and food bowls. Needed an earlier breakfast, which was no problem. Jean-Luc was very attentive to our needs, and we had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of Bath!”

“Everything about the apartment was five star. The customer service was excellent, very informative and made the whole checking in and checking out process easy. The location couldn’t be more central. You don’t even realise you’re slap bang in the middle of a city centre as it’s still really peaceful. The apartment itself is immaculate. It’s spacious, luxurious, and had the best terrace with the most incredible view over the cathedral and hills in the distance. You get so much more for your money than you ever would in a hotel. I will definitely be booking again.”

“Well, what a restaurant. I would implore you to visit. The food is fabulous. More importantly the service is wonderful. We came for lunch and spent nearly 2 hours talking to the owners and staff ans more importantly tasting lovely food. At £35 for 3 courses, an absolute steal.”

“We stayed for 2 nights at The Yard after our wedding and it was great. The location is fantastic and very central which makes walking to the city centre easy. The rooms are nicely finished and clean with a great bathroom. Really comfortable beds and in a very quiet location too.”

“Amazing food! I had the scallops, then duck, and then the chocolate ganache to finish - all dishes were very delicious and cooked well. The cheese board also has a great selection of cheeses, and they give you a mountain of crackers. The staff were also lovely and attentive. Will definitely be recommending this restaurant to everyone!”

“Absolutely would highly recommend this place! The restaurant is stunning - don't let the exterior fool you, as it's gorgeous inside. The staff are lovely, and the food is truly amazing. Just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues: the steps down to the restaurant are quite steep. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish!”

“It's our go to restaurant for steak even though we're not local to it it's worth the trip. Always melt in the mouth steak. Puddings are good too, have had the Creme brûlée and the rice pudding. Big portions and good flavours.”

“Lovely little coffee shop with a great selection of cookies and pastries. The barista was super friendly. The cookies looked delicious and super fresh so we had to try the rainbow chocolate cookie. It crumbled in our hands so you knew it was just made and it was delicious.”

“The way food should be!! Just such an amazing lunch on our second and equally amazing visit. The menu was varied and interesting and really shows what plant based cuisine can be. The service was impeccable - attentive but discrete, and the food of excellent quality. The private dining room has a large single table and high ceilings and was perfect for dinner parties. “We cannot fault our stay at Hotel Indigo, Bath. We were greeted so warmly by Emily & Alberto. Our vaulted room was incredible!! It was spacious, clean, comfortable & it had the biggest bath tub we've ever seen!! The hotel is located close to the city centre & was only a short stroll to the famous Roman Baths. In the evening, we spent some time in the bar & had some delicious cocktails. Check-out was quick & easy. We would absolutely recommend Hotel Indigo, Bath & we are definitely looking forward to staying again one day.”
