What a lovely evening! The food we ordered at Bouvardia was amazing, all very nicely presented. The homemade sourdough with honey butter was delicious. I also particularly enjoyed my duck breast and my partner loved his sticky toffee pudding desert! The service was very good, the waiters and waitresses all very pleasant and attentive. There’s only 9 tables available in the restaurant so the whole experience feels very intimate and ‘exclusive’. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something special!

We had the most amazing meal at this restaurant. The service was exceptional & they couldn't do enough for us! We started off with bread at the table with the most amazing butter. Starters were Beef brisket & smoked mozzarella ravioli & Smoked duck breast served with blue cheese crème - the most amazing flavours in both! Mains we had the venison & Pork tenderloin - both meats were cooked to perfection! Sides we had Garlic & parsley crushed new potatoes and Truffle & Parmesan fries - the fries were honestly the best we've ever had! Desserts we had the Chocolate fondant which was just the perfect dessert to finish off a perfect meal! Cannot recommend this place enough, it really was amazing!

A stunning restaurant situated on the outskirts of Bath. Perfect if you are after a private evening. With only 9 tables the atmosphere took a while to developed as a few more people entered. The service was good, I think the waiter was new and slightly nervous. The star of the show was the food, all well presented and each element of the dishes were perfect together. I recommend the venison, I have never had anything like it and the sauce it came with was incredible. The chocolate fondant was also delicious! Overall a lovely evening.

Yesterday I went for lunch with my family to Bouvardia Restaurant for Sunday dinner. The decor was beautiful, it felt very peaceful there. The waiters were very polite and friendly and gave us recommendations. We were delighted the quality of the food (was told they use local produce and the menu that changes with the seasons) - my son said the beef ravioli was so good that he wants to come and have it everyday! The chicken was one of the most tender and tastiest I have had in a very long time Half way through our meal we were already saying we need to come back for dinner to try the regular menu! Quite surprised most people we told about have not heard about it, a true hidden gem in Bath!

Had an amazing dinner here recently. The quality of each dish was very high, and the menu was interesting, full of flavours and pairings you might not have tried before. I think the standout for me was the dessert, the cinnamon ice cream was excellent! The service was also really great, super attentive. We ate quite early so it was probably quieter than usual but overall the atmosphere was really comfortable and added to the fine dining experience. Thank you Chef Joe, everything was delicious and we’ll definitely recommend to friends and family!

An absolutely brilliant experience here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent; our waitress was helpful and very attentive all night. I am vegetarian so although there was only one option for each course that I could have, they were so delicious nonetheless. I highly recommend the chocolate fondant dessert and my boyfriend really enjoyed the venison main course. Even the warm homemade bread and butter was top notch. Our table was booked at 7pm on a Saturday evening and it was just us for the first 15 minutes or so, whereas at about 8pm onwards a few more tables arrived, so I would suggest booking later if you prefer slightly more ambiance. This is not a busy, atmospheric restaurant by any means, so if you are looking for that, this will no fulfil it. Having said that, we enjoyed our evening so much we stayed at the restaurant for over three and a half hours just drinking and chatting. I highly recommend the food and service here.

Absolutely loved this place. It's perfect for couples and small family gatherings as the restaurant is small but cosy. There is an eatery for every occasion and, in my opinion, Bouvardia is for romance. We arrived for a pre dinner drink in the lounge where our order was taken and then led to our table at the time of our booking. Tasty homemade bread with 2 butters, mustard or sesame. With a pre starter of butternut, orange and ginger amuse. For starters we had the smoked pigeon and the salt baked beetroot. Both set the tone for the main courses of treacle cured venison and turbot. To set us up for the dessert and to cleanse the palate, we were served a raspberry and champagne granita. I couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding with a butterscotch sauce and my wife had the vegan panna cotta. The staff are extremely pleasant and attentive. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. The food was delicious, nicely seasoned and artistically presented. For the right occasion, this restaurant is worth another visit.

We went for dinner to Bouvardia as part of a weekend away in Bath. This place is quite a gem! The atmosphere is very cosy (small room so reservation strongly recommended), the service was fantastic and the food aligned to everything else - sophisticated and tasty. We all had a very enjoyable evening.

A small restaurant on the back of the hotel of approx 8 tables. The food and service was excellent, un-rushed and polite service. A 3 coarse meal for £36,50, 2 courses £10 less. Each course has a recommended wine or choose your own from list. A bottle starts at around £30. A little gem that I predict will become very popular and will have to be booked weeks in advance. I highly recommend it.
